The shock on their faces was palpable, yet my resolve remained unyielding. My body moved with such swiftness that I appeared as a mere shadow to them, and my hand pierced through their chests, extinguishing their lives in an instant.
Having dispatched all six of the rogue cultivators, I turned my attention to the man and his daughter. They appeared somewhat apprehensive, likely pondering my intentions.
"Are you both alright?" I inquired, offering a gentle smile.
Before the man could respond, the girl rushed towards me, embracing me in a heartfelt hug. "Thank you… I thought I would die, or worse…"
The man stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You saved us. Thank you, young man."
I nodded in acknowledgment and added, "Why were you traveling along this perilous road? It's far from safe."
