The formation protecting the door was a hard one to break, just like Shi Wei had said to me. Fang Ru turned out to be helpful during the whole process, and the fact that he had done the first part of the formation himself saved us a lot of time.
In total, it took us twelve hours of constant work to unlock that door. I was feeling hella tired, hungry, and thirsty and could not wait for a shower, yet there we were, unlocking a door to a cultivator's bedroom...
Never did I want so badly to return to my sect and do the things I enjoyed. At least the trip, though dangerous and long, finally helped me reach the Golden Core stage, which was awesome. I was one step closer to my dream of getting as powerful as possible and finding lingering peace.
"It is open," I said, sighing in relief. "This one was a hard one to get."
