The group of cultivators were close to us, so it did not take long for us to reach them. No one bound us with spells, like a Qi rope or another type of prison, but I could sense and see their gazes locked on us, ready to attack at any given chance.
We could not make stupid moves with them. Another thing I noticed was that no one said their names to us. They knew each other. That was pretty obvious, but they did not want us to blend in, and it felt like we were only there for something else.
"Alright. Let us move toward the lake. You two, follow us, and don't do stupid things. We will gladly end our lives," the cultivator who previously attacked us said.
I simply nodded and did what they said. That was the smart move. What happened next surprised me. One of the cultivators in the group jumped into the lake!
"You two will go now. Don't worry, our destination is down there."
