Chapter 44 - The sacrifice

The full moon looms high in the night sky, its pale light casting long shadows across the grassland. Under cover of darkness, the Northland army advances stealthily towards the Valhalla troop's encampment.

As they near the enemy camp's outskirts, the Grand Commander's fist rises sharply, signaling a halt. The soldiers drop to their knees, blending seamlessly into the terrain. 

The commander leans towards Captain Kahn and whispers an order. Captain Kahn bows and raises his hand to signal the vanguard troops but Anakin holds him back.

"I'll go instead," Anakin declares.

"No!" Captain Kahn grabs Anakin's arm. "This mission is too dangerous. You are a prince."

Anakin retorts, "There are no princes on the battlefield, only soldiers." He wrenches his arm free, glancing at the Grand Commander for approval.

"Go," he permits, much to Captain Kahn's dismay.
