(Insert the song "World So Cold" by Three Days Grace)
Raymond and his partner found themselves bound to chairs, surrounded by menacing gang members. The air was thick with tension as the gang began a conversation, taunting and threatening their captives. Seeing no success in the dialogue, they proceeded to take the two of them to different rooms.
"Take them to different rooms, and let's ask them this time a little more 'rude,' please," said the leader, maintaining a sadistic smirk on his face.
"YES, SIR!" exclaimed the lackeys.
The soldiers took Raymond to another room.
"Well... I always thought that Luca's lessons were a little bit over the top with him and Wesley's weekly inhuman beatings. Color me impressed; they already prepared me for this kind of situation," thought Raymond, a little amused.
Raymond maintained an eerily calm demeanor throughout, his eyes fixed ahead, seemingly indifferent to his partner's inhuman screams that had been sounding for days.
As the days turned into a torturous week, the gang members unleashed their brutality upon Raymond and his partner. They subjected them to relentless beatings, striking them with a ferocity that would have broken most individuals. Yet, Raymond's stoic expression remained unchanged, his tolerance for pain seemingly unmatched.
Another day and night went by when suddenly Raymond, who was dreaming of something, felt cold water on his face and body.
Raymond woke up with fury in his eyes.
"Wakey wakey, little birdie," said one of the gangsters mockingly.
"Today we are gonna have so much fun," said another gangster excitedly.
Raymond looked up into their eyes and said, "Good morning, gentlemen...
It appears that your mothers did not teach you any... manners. Well, I shouldn't blame them, as perhaps they did teach you, but how can you teach manners to a couple of chimpanzees?" said Raymond with elegance and eloquence.
Seeing the red face of the gangster, he knew they would hurt him badly, but he was just in a state of euphoria seeing that his comment had worked.
The "bonding" session between Raymond and the lackeys began.
Raymond was electrocuted several times. At first, it was a little shock, but little by little, the intensity increased.
In the meantime, the sound of a chainsaw could be heard from the other room.
While his partner's cries echoed through the confines of the room, Raymond's face betrayed no emotion. It was as if he had detached himself from the physical torment, his mind focused on something beyond the immediate agony. His ability to dissociate from the pain allowed him to endure, to withstand the relentless onslaught without breaking.
Raymond's indifference to his partner's suffering was unsettling, a testament to his deeply ingrained resilience and self-preservation. His mind seemed impervious to the horrors unfolding around him, as if he had honed his mental fortitude to an extraordinary level.
In the darkness of their torment, Raymond's unwavering composure stood as a stark contrast to the chaos and brutality surrounding them. It was a chilling reminder of the depths of his character, a testament to the hardened and calculated individual he had become.
The gang members, growing increasingly frustrated by Raymond's apparent lack of reaction, found themselves both perplexed and unsettled. Little did they know that beneath his stoic facade, a storm of vengeance and strategic planning was brewing, ready to be unleashed when the time was right.
As the week of torture came to an end, a peculiar twist of fate awaited him. A mysterious figure appeared at the gang's hideout, carrying what appeared to be a short branch. The arrival of this stranger ignited curiosity within Raymond.
"So these are the 'pigs' that were spying on us," said the figure, who was wearing elegant clothes related to the Gothic era.
"Yes, sir," replied the gangster boss, trembling slightly.
"What did you say? I can't hear you," said the figure while looking at the boss.
"Yes, sir," said the trembling gangster boss, crying.
"Good," said the figure, while he stepped out for a few minutes, examining Raymond's partner.
Then he looked at Raymond and said, "Well, little one, from now on I will come to play a little from time to time," said the older wizard as he took the doubtful and wary gaze of Raymond.
The piece of branch started to glow a little.
"Remember this, boy. You were born to be the slaughter of a more superior race," said the strange man, looking directly into the boy's eyes.
"Remember this lesson for eternity..." the man said as he looked at the floor briefly, his hair hiding his face. A second later, he looked at Raymond again, but this time his emotions were visible on his face. He had a sadistic gaze and a wide, crazy smirk.
"You will forever be below us, stupid ignorant muggle," said the man as Raymond's eyes went wide, and the branch was glowing ferociously.
"CRUCIO!!!" shouted the wizard.
'Fuck' was the last thought Raymond had before a wave of pain assaulted him. It felt like a million ants were walking through his body.
But that wasn't the worst part.
Oh no...
That was a lighter punishment for Raymond. The worst part came after; as a reaction to the spell, Raymond's body began to heat up violently, provoking Raymond to scream in agony as the pain became unbearable.
Raymond felt as if he had been thrown into the center of the sun, unable to move, only able to scream and wait.
Raymond found himself trapped in a nightmarish situation, tied to a chair as the torment continued. The pain inflicted upon him was unbearable, intensifying with each passing moment. It felt as if he were engulfed in the searing heat of the sun itself, as if his very core were being consumed by flames.
The agony radiated from within, as if his insides were burning, the torment gnawing at his every fiber. The scorching sensation seemed to seep into his bones, making it almost unbearable to remain in his own skin. Yet, despite the excruciating pain, Raymond clung to his resolve, refusing to surrender to the torment.
Weeks turned into months, and the torture persisted, stretching the limits of Raymond's endurance. The relentless beatings and psychological torment wore him down, both physically and mentally. But through it all, he remained determined, his spirit unyielding in the face of such brutality.
(Stop the world so cold)
(Insert the bleach theme invasion until the end of the chapter)
Then, in a surreal turn of events, Raymond found himself abruptly transported to a desolate desert, still bound to the chair. The scorching sun beat down mercilessly upon him, mirroring the torment he had endured within the confines of the gang's hideout. He had already lost track of time some time ago.
The searing sand beneath his feet and the arid winds whispered tales of his anguish.
Chained and isolated in this barren landscape, Raymond's situation appeared even more dire.
The desert stretched out as far as the eye could see, a harsh reminder of the challenges he faced. Yet, somewhere deep within his soul, a flicker of resilience remained. Despite the overwhelming odds, he refused to succumb to despair.
For HE had survived the corruption of the void.
For HE had survived and persisted as a soul in the circle of the afterlife.
For HE had survived the hellish training of his teachers.
And there is no way in hell HE won't survive this.
He will survive and come out stronger than ever.
In the midst of this desolation, Raymond's mind began to churn, seeking solace and strength amidst the harsh reality. He tapped into the depths of his psyche, drawing upon the flickering ember of his willpower to endure the physical and emotional torment that had become his existence.
As the months dragged on, Raymond's mental strength was tested to its limits. First tortured by the wizard, and then the desert.
"Who would have thought...
That I would end up in Harry Potter's universe?
No...
It should be called an Alternative Universe, as Blade is here, and I guess many more too," thought Raymond darkly as he had his head down and his hair was hiding his face.
The desert became both a physical and metaphorical battlefield, where he fought against the oppressive heat, isolation, and the chains that bound him. Each passing moment brought him closer to his breaking point, yet he desperately clung to the faint hope of escape.
The desert became a crucible of transformation, forcing Raymond to confront his inner demons and summon every ounce of resilience he possessed. For the first time in a long time, Raymond reflected on all of his actions and the mistakes he had made. It was within the vast expanse of the desert that he would face his trial: either succumb to the relentless torment and torture or rise above it, reborn from the flames like a phoenix.
Raymond looked at the place and was surprised to notice that the ruins previously here were covered in sand. Raymond was contemplating something on his mind, not knowing how much time had passed in the outside world.
Suddenly, Raymond's eyes expanded as he had an epiphany.
"Wait, outside world...
This is not an hallucination as I had previously thought...
This is MY MINDSCAPE," thought Raymond, and then he started to look around and analyze the place in detail.
"The ruins must be my memories that I had prior to the crash and the memories of when I was in the void. Then the sand must be the damage done to my psyche by the void," Raymond deduced.
Suddenly Raymond thought of something unexpected, and he started having a cold sweat as he desperately moved his head towards the sun with black spots.
"The Crucio that the wizard had done to me is reacting with the black and the golden sun," thought Raymond as he watched closely.
"No...
It's reacting only to the black part of the sun...
And because the black part is reacting against the spell, the energy contained in the golden part is leaking out, meaning...
The energy that I had felt in the past was restrained by the black part...
IT WAS PROTECTING ME," concluded Raymond and continued analyzing.
"And if it is reacting to that spell...
And it is protecting from the other energy...
And while it is doing all of this, that black energy is also trying to save the ruins of my mind, my memories...
Then it has to be something which can be found in this universe, said energy...
Something that would help its user do incredible things...
Something like bending reality to the user's needs and desires...
Something that defies common sense and the laws of physics..." Thinking of this, Raymond's tired and bruised eyes burned with an unhealthy and extremely obsessive happiness.
"I have magic," said Raymond in a low voice.
"Ja... ja ja ja ja... Ja JAJJAJAJAJAJAJAJ," Raymond exploded in a psycho laughter as he thought and reveled in the possibilities that this could mean for him.
But all of a sudden, he stopped.
Suddenly, Raymond thought of something terrifying and unexpected, and he started trembling in cold sweat as he desperately moved his head towards the sun with golden majesty.
'What if...' Raymond thought, terrified.
"What if... something had crossed with me?" said Raymond wide-eyed and in a low voice, as something clicked in his mind.
"Something has crossed with me or at least it should be related to my entrance into this universe..."
"That is why I keep hearing things... like those cries that don't sound human... the heat sensations too... the upgrades that I had suffered from the ray too..." said Raymond while trying to find a catalyst to the situation. He had to find SOMETHING that wasn't here in the first place, something that wouldn't even make sense, something out of the ordinary, something like...
"THE DECK..." shouted Raymond, and as if responding to his conclusion, the sand started moving slightly as a ruin that was previously covered by sand was shown in his mind again.
And then everything clicked—the reason he couldn't remember, the sun, the deck, the beast...
"Ryuki..." he said in a low voice, and he started sweating even more as the sun's rising temperature disgusted him with the name he mentioned.
'I knew the deck was familiar to me, but I couldn't remember it... Turns out it was from Kamen Rider Ryuki... The final battle... him and Knight in survive mode headed to the swarm of insects... then the explosion...'
Then he realized something he had mistakenly overlooked, a great error on his part.
'THAT ISN'T A SUN...' Raymond realized it wasn't a sun; it was a golden ball with extreme heat.
Suddenly, he heard an inhuman chirp, like that of a bird. Then he looked at the sun and realized that it was expanding and unfolding itself.
He struggled, listening to that and feeling the heat rising and rising without end. Raymond was a human with many qualities that would appear odd, but if one were to ask if he had one quality he is an expert in, he would say his WILLPOWER.
So Raymond survived but was near fainting, as this time he really pushed himself beyond his limits.
But at the end, it was all worth it as the golden egg that was previously suppressed by that blackness was opened, and a sudden supernova was unleashed in the sky, marveling Raymond.
Then he looked at the figure in the sky that resembled one figure in his mind, but instead of a dragon, it looked more like a phoenix.
The Phoenix of Ra stood tall, its fiery plumage radiating vibrant hues of red, gold, and orange. Its wings spanned wide, displaying a mesmerizing pattern resembling the spreading flames of a blazing fire. Each feather, intricately designed, glistened with an ethereal glow, reflecting the flickering light of the sun.
As the Phoenix of Ra soared through the heavens, it left a trail of fiery embers in its wake. The scorching flames that danced around its body were a testament to its incredible power and the raw energy it possessed. The phoenix's eyes, piercing gold, shone with an intensity that reflected the indomitable spirit within.
The beak of the Phoenix of Ra was sharp and elegant, representing both its regal nature and its ability to unleash devastating attacks. Its talons, strong and formidable, symbolized its authority and the fiery destruction it could unleash upon its adversaries.
When the Phoenix of Ra spreads its wings, it casts a shadow that engulfs the battlefield, instilling fear and awe in all who witness its presence. The intense heat emanating from its body can melt steel and scorch the earth, leaving a trail of ashes in its wake.
But the true power of the Phoenix of Ra lies in its ability to be reborn from its own ashes. Just as a phoenix rises from the flames, this divine creature possesses the ability to resurrect itself, emerging stronger and more formidable than before. Its resilience and adaptability make it a formidable force, capable of turning the tide of any battle.
As the Phoenix of Ra takes flight, it represents the embodiment of fire, power, and eternal renewal. Its presence is both awe-inspiring and fearsome, reminding all who encounter it of the unstoppable force that lies within the heart of the phoenix.
The Phoenix of Ra commands respect and reverence, a symbol of divine power and the embodiment of the phoenix's legendary status. Its appearance on the field signifies a turning point in the battle, a moment when the tides can shift, and victory can be grasped by those who wield its fiery might.
"We finally meet," said a loud and rough voice.
"Yeah..." replied Raymond while looking at the giant phoenix in front of him.
"Care to explain how a creature from another world ended up in a void and later in another world, more specifically, another universe?" said Raymond, looking directly into Ra's eyes.
"How amusing... I was going to ask the same thing," replied Ra while laughing a little.
'He is imitating me...' thought Raymond, his right eye twitching a little.
"Well, based on your memories... the ones I can see, of course, and aren't covered in sand, I do indeed remember the explosion and how 'OUR' world ended. You see, all of my previous hosts were puppets, and I was created to win that stupid war. But something very funny happened to me in the explosion that occurred, caused by THAT STUPID DRAGON and that rat with wings.
I, who had survived and was near the explosion as I wanted to see the dragon fail in the mirror world, watching all the drama of the pacifist. Suddenly, a crack appeared near me, and cracks began to appear in the sky as well. It appears that the idiots provoked an attack that damaged space. Because of that damage, the area was bombarded by the idiots and pests, causing an explosion that resulted in the death of all humans.
And in one moment, I was watching the drama, and in the next, I was floating in a dark place. But suddenly, I started seeing someone who, despite all odds, was alive. I was elevated and curious, and when I saw you cross, I followed you and tried to make a contract with you. But something happened to me as I crossed, so I entered your body and had to rest for a while as I was starting to evolve. I saw a little of your memories and found this form. As soon as I had found this, I had to stop to not harm them, and, well, I quite like this form," finished Ra, telling his story, making Raymond quiet as he finished analyzing and listening to this new info.
"So now what...?" asked Raymond, unsure where this is going.
"Now what... That is an excellent question," replied Ra, and as he too began thinking about what he will do for now.
"WAIT, what about the deck?" asked Raymond, unsure about the deck.
"What deck?" replied Ra, unaware of that matter as he had thought that nothing had survived in the explosion.
Then Raymond proceeded to explain the situation in detail, fascinating Ra.
All of a sudden, Raymond had an idea.
"Ra, I have an idea that would benefit both... Will you listen?" asked Raymond with a smirk on his face.
"Oho, tell me what's your idea, Raymond," replied Ra while looking into my eyes.
"What do you say we form a contract?" said Raymond, maintaining his stare at Ra.
"Mmm... It certainly has its appeal. And from what I gather, he is extremely talented and has a great mind and qualities. The most important thing is that I can study that stupid black thing as it's interesting and new to me. Plus, the kid has suffered enough already, both mentally and physically," thought Ra with a little guilt as he was one of the causes that generated that pain.
Finishing his thought, he said, "Okay, Raymond... You win. Let's make that contract," replied Ra.
Raymond blinked and asked how, as he had his deck in his room.
Ra, seeing his reason, began laughing, already finishing that he had explained to Raymond that they weren't in the original universe, so for the contract, it would be changed to a soul contract.
The plus side was that he could summon the deck anytime he needed it and other things that Ra basically left in the dark but would be beneficial later on.
"So... How do we make this contract?" asked Raymond with an uncertain tone.
"Easy... You have to touch me, and I will do the rest," replied Ra, a little amused.
"You are kidding... Right?" asked Raymond as he signaled with his eyes towards the ropes and the chair.
"Oh, right... My bad," said Ra while chuckling a little.
As Raymond was still bound to the chair, he called upon the Phoenix of Ra, pleading to aid him in his dire situation. The divine creature answered his call. In a display of benevolence and power, the majestic phoenix descended from the heavens, its radiant form illuminating the room with its golden light.
With a royal-like nod, Ra approached him, its fiery aura pulsating with energy. As their hands touched, a surge of intense fire engulfed everything around them, consuming the room in its brilliance.
Within that inferno of flames, a profound transformation took place. The divine power of Ra combined with the latent magic that resided within Raymond's own being, intertwining and merging to create something entirely new and awe-inspiring. The golden light that radiated from both sources merged into a singular, radiant glow, signifying a bond forged between mortal and a sacred beast.
As the flames subsided and the golden light dimmed, a transformation occurred within Raymond. His physical form underwent a metamorphosis, imbued with the essence of the Phoenix of Ra. His once-bound and weakened body now possessed a newfound strength and resilience, as well as a radiant aura that echoed the phoenix's own fiery brilliance.
His wounds were healed, and he felt stronger than ever.
"Now let's get out of here... And it's time to get you something to eat," said Raymond to Ra, his eyes showing an incredible desire for vengeance.
"You have no idea how much I wanted to hear those words," replied Ra, with a sadistic smirk on his face.
Meanwhile, outside of his mind, the sound of footsteps was heard. Raymond was unconscious in the chair, and the ropes that held him were broken.
So when the wizard entered, he thought the gang member had tortured Raymond. Fortunately, they had beaten Raymond so badly that he was unconscious.
So he had a great idea, why not wake him up with a Crucio? Smiling like a child having a sugar rush, he prepared for the spell when the entire building started shaking.
And in an instant, things started exploding, and a fire broke out in the building.
"STUPIDS," said the wizard, angry that he couldn't torture Raymond.
He was about to retreat when all of a sudden, an intense heat invaded the room. The wizard started sweating when fire suddenly entered the room.
The wizard tried to cast Glacius, but he couldn't think straight with the heat.
At the same time, Raymond woke up and looked up with a serene expression, but from the look in his eyes, he was anything but calm.
So he got up from the chair and started stretching, moving his muscles little by little. The wizard, unaware that he unintentionally unleashed a monster upon this world, was trying to fight the fire. Raymond saw that.
He called his deck, which fell into his hand. Then something incredible happened: Raymond's hand produced a little fire, and the once black deck changed to a golden and orange deck with a phoenix symbol in the middle.
The atmosphere was getting hotter and hotter, so the wizard tried to think of something and turned to look at a now awake Raymond.
"How..." asked the wizard, with a surprised face and stuttering a bit.
Raymond looked at him for a moment, and in the next second...
A surge of intense energy enveloped the protagonist, Raymond. The scene crackled with electricity as his body was bathed in a brilliant golden flame, symbolizing the embodiment of Ra's power.
A belt suddenly surged around Raymond's waist; it was golden with orange tones and black spots.
With a determined yet cold expression, Raymond reached for Ra's Advent Deck, a special device that holds the key to his transformation. With a swift motion, he swiped the deck across the slot on his belt, activating the transformation process.
The wizard's instincts were screaming at him to either run or kill Raymond in that instant. At the same time, he cast and launched the spell.
A burst of fiery golden energy erupted from the Advent Deck, tracing intricate patterns along Raymond's body, and a force field was created around him. The energy formed a golden and black armor that materialized piece by piece, starting from his feet and gradually working its way up. Each armor segment locked into place with a satisfying click, symbolizing the fusion of man and armor.
Raymond, knowing which armor he had, took a card out of the deck. He wanted to finish fast, as his transformation would surely attract unwanted attention from the heavyweights of this world.
So he took out a card.
He pushed down the part of the visor where the card is placed, then he put the card and pushed the visor up to activate it.
"Sword Vent," sounded a robotic voice.
Suddenly, Raymond had two twin swords that appeared to be the twin wings of a phoenix.
With a quick step, making a dent in the ground, he rushed towards the wizard as fire surrounded them.
He launched a flurry of quick strikes that cut through the wizard, who was unprepared for close combat and always thought he could get away with magic.
Raymond suddenly stopped, seeing the almost dead wizard.
"What's your name?" asked Raymond, but the wizard merely smiled and spit blood at him, which Raymond evaded.
"I see... Tough one, huh?" said Raymond while taking another card out of the deck and placing it on the visor that he summoned again. He decided to return the swords, as it was already late for his taste, and he had a gut feeling that if he didn't finish fast, he would not come out alive from this building.
Final Vent.
Suddenly, a phoenix with three tails appeared in the scene and surrounded Raymond, creating a circle of fire. Raymond took a jump and performed a kick, while the phoenix roared and charged toward him. As he transformed himself into a fire-like phoenix, his form merged with the fiery kick.
A sound similar to an atomic bomb reverberated through the place as a sea of fire engulfed everything.
Afterward, Raymond looked around and found nothing but ashes. He entered a mirror and left the place without a trace.
In that moment, all around the world, every magical creature sensed something, be it wizards, centaurs, vampires, werewolves, and more.
They all shared the same thought: "Something is coming."
They sensed that something had happened, that something had broken.
The centaurs and seers were particularly affected as they could sense and see that something was not right.
Something that couldn't and shouldn't exist now existed, causing distress among them.
They heard the sound of something breaking, and when they tried to see the future, they couldn't. Even the centaurs found that the sky and planets were not responding.
Something extraordinary had occurred.
For the first time in the Harry Potter universe...
Fate was broken.
