"Well this is it" I said as I stood in front of the gates of the World Awakeners Academy. I went through a thorough checking of my luggage and after confirming my identity and the letter of invitation, the guards let me in.
The entire view and infrastructure of the academy was simply breathtaking. The starting of the academy is filled with lush greenery. There is a huge ground where I can imagine myself just dozing off under the sun.
The buildings as well are really beautiful. I also saw something like a colosseum here which is probably where official matches are held. I can see myself winning a match there real soon.
The campus is big enough for there to be a transportation system inside but I decided to walk since I wanted to explore the academy more.
After just roaming outside and admiring the view, I arrived at the entrance of the academy where I was met with an attendant who showed me to my room and carried all my luggage there.
The rooms were also really lavish. As someone who had some experience of living in dorms during college, I was expecting those kinds of rooms but this was clearly out of my expectations.
The room was fully furnished. Everything was clean and there was no speck of dust to be found anywhere.
Suddenly looking at the bed - the fluffy bed like marshmallow, I started to feel sleepy and just jumped on the bed only to bounce on it. I had completely forgotten that I was being watched doing these silly things by the attendant though in my defence, he should have left after putting my bags down.
Under my scrutinising gaze, he bowed his head and left while saying that if I ever need anything I am to call him.
I laid on my bed and was just surfing through instagram. Yeah, I managed to sneak in my phone.
After a few minutes, I heard a knock on my door and opened it quickly only to find the very same attendant who had left just moments ago. He handed me some clothes which I guess are provided to everyone in the academy along with my student ID card and the schedule of classes.
Apparently they still teach about basic subjects that are taught in normal schools but there are no tests so it doesn't matter whether you wish to study those or not as they do not affect your school life. Not to mention these classes are just taken 2 times in a week and that too for just an hour each.
The rest of the classes are actually on the awakened world. No theory of course. There is no need to learn any theory about the awakened world since strength is the only thing that truly matters in the world whether you are an individual or a group, that doesn't matter. As long as your powerful you will live.
Anyway, I just glanced at the schedule before putting it away on my nightstand. I was too tired to care. I had spent 12 hours just getting here.
My back was aching because of sitting for 11 hours in an airplane so as soon as I got comfortable on the bed, I drifted off to sleep.
...
*BAM* *BAM* *BAM*
I opened the door to find three kids in front of my room.
"Hmm? Who....?" I asked while rubbing my eyes.
"You are the newbie right?" A blonde girl with huge ass earrings asked with a smug smile.
She seems to be the leader of this little group. Wait...is this ragging?
"Yeah. And who are you?" I asked in an irritated tone
"Hey punk are you out of your mind?! Do you not know who you are talking to?! Drop that tone!" her sidekick yelled
"I asked who she was because I don't know her." I turned my head to look at the kid who just yelled at me and threatened him, "And when it comes to tone, you better watch it yourself."
*Pftt--* the blonde girl laughed
"Look here you fucker! You better respect your seniors if you don't wanna wake up in the infirmary in the morning."
"If you want to pick a fight with me just say that you want to fight. Instead of performing your useless attempts to threaten me because I am not scared of you. I can take on tens of you on at the same time and still win easily."
"You....You think you are some hot-shot aren't you?! Well guess what, nobody in this academy is weaker than you."
"Oh..fuck off will you. Your voice is annoying" I said in an irritated tone
"How..dare you?!"
I caught her hand as she was about to slap me.
"This is self defence"
I punched her in the face and she fell down on the floor.
"You Imbecile!!"
I kicked the white haired sidekick who tried to punch me and send him crashing to the door of the room opposite to mine.
This commotion brought a lot of attention from everyone around us. Several people came out of their rooms to see what was happening and a few passerby just stood there.
"Hey look! The newbie is taking on Jessica!"
"Whoa! He really sent her down in just one punch."
"Isn't he Owen Knight from the Light Cavalry group?"
"hehe..he is about to get his ass handed to him."
Everyone just started yapping away whatever they wanted to without considering the fact that I was listening to whatever they were saying but this isn't something I am unfamiliar with. This is just like my normal school only this time I can beat the shit out of them.
'Wait....Jessica? Doesn't she rank quite high in the academy?'
"I WILL KILL YOU!!!"
Jessica yelled as she stood up with a dark pink aura surrounding her. I also revved up my power and a greenish blue aura surrounded me but mine was more powerful than hers and that was felt by everyone present there.
"What is this fuss all about?"
We retracted our auras and looked where the voice came from to see a chick with shiny white hair having blue shade at the ends walking towards us with her entourage.
'Damn!!'
She is absolutely stunning. Not to mention elegant.
Each step she took was filled with dignity really screaming out that she was the one in control and had the highest authority.
I have seen this type of demeanour a few times before but that was with really powerful people like Grandpa and the top most officials of our group along with a few leaders of other groups that I have come in contact with over the years.
"Leah?"
I heard someone say and immediately recognised the name.
Leah Erseby, she is from a famous family. Their group is also extremely exclusive group and doesn't take in awakeners whose abilities do not satisfy the leaders. Even the ones who actually live in their territory are not allowed to be part of the group if they do not live upto their expectations. So, the other groups close to their area takes them in.
It is a medium - big group but an extremely powerful one. There is not one person who can be classified as weak in their group
She is currently among the top 10 in this academy meaning she is one of the strongest person here and she is also the student council president.
"Jessica, were you about to break the school rules and use you powers on school grounds!"
"I-I Apologise!!" she said nervously
"Good. Since you didn't release you powers here, I will end it with a warning."
"Thank you!!"
"And now you" Sarah said as she looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"What about me?"
"You are the newest person in this academy. It will be good for you to tread carefully here. Since you have come here just today and are not familiar with how things go, I will let this pass. However, there is a strict rule to not use powers so casually, normally both of you would have been punished. And also, don't offend anyone here who you can't afford to offend otherwise the repercussions will be costly."
"You say that as if they are bound to win." I said with a smirk on my face
"I am only giving you a suggestion. It is up to you to follow it or not."
She said and started walking away but halted when I called out.
"Wait."
"What is it?"
"How do I issue a fight?"
