Upon hopping into the yacht, everyone's head turned to Donovan with those shocked expressions. He never came with a muse. He mostly came with Lesley and Jace. They are a trio. But not now. He has someone else with him and she looked simple yet elegant.
"I think everyone is looking at us." Charlotte mumbled. "I felt so shy."
"Chin up, my dear. You will have more events to attend than this. Bigger than this." Donovan said.
"Zoe! Donovan!" Gil quickly came to them and hugged both of them. He then kissed Donovan's cheek and Charlotte's. Donovan pushed him and pushed the gift that Charlotte and Lesley prepared for Gil.
"Get your gift and don't touch us."
Gil thanked them and took the small box.
"Is it a key to my new asset?"
"No." Donovan rolled his eyes. Gil was almost pouting.
"Happy birthday!" Charlotte greeted.
