Chapter 30 - (29)

Sarcasm was all over his tongue, he said.

"Whatever."I said it rudely.

When they left, I immediately went in to pack some things that I would take on the said vacation.

I searched for my godmother Emilia's resort on the internet and it's quite famous, huh? Good reviews from previous guests who have already experienced the resort's services.

Plus, the amenities are appealing to the eyes.

There are many varieties that guests can try. Like the pools, some restaurants that look delicious offer food, and what not.

I took a few pairs of clothes and folded them neatly before putting them in the suitcase.

I don't need much because I only have five days in the room. Unless, of course, if I want to extend my stay, which I'm not planning to do.

I want to go back to work right away. If they hadn't just forced me to be a mommy, I wouldn't really need a vacation.

But of course, I still need to obey my parents. They know what's best for me. I was still in the middle of packing my things when the door swung open. Mom entered, carrying a glass of milk in her right hand. "Drink it first, daughter."

She handed me the milk. I accepted that and put aside what I was doing.

"Thank you, Mom. Did you come earlier? Where's Dad?" I asked.

She gently stroked my hair. "Your Daddy is resting." I just came to you to make sure you're okay. "

I smiled.

I'm fine, Mommy. Really. You don't have to worry about me. "

"I know you are. But I still want to check on you from time to time. We've been busy these past few days. I just want to make sure you're in good condition with your brother, "she said.

"Look at you. You've had an accident." Shouldn't we consider hiring a driver? "

I cut out what she's supposed to say. "Mommy, I don't need a driver." I protested.

"I'm old enough." I can drive, and besides, it was just an accident.

I am in good condition. And seriously, I don't need a driver. I can do it." I added.

"Alright. She sighed in defeat. "You said so." "All right, after you get ready, go to sleep. You'll leave tomorrow morning." She reminded me.

She also brought the glass out.

Right after she left, I continued packing my things in the luggage.

When I was sure everything I needed was in the suitcase, I closed it and set it down on my bedside table.

I took a quick bath before settling into bed.

The next day, my older brother woke me up. It was only six-thirty in the morning and I was still drowsy.

"Wake up, sleepyhead. Take a bath, and your service to our godmother's resort is here. "

"Ronald, I'm still sleepy." Five minutes more, please. "

He didn't let me in and instead pulled me to get up.

I grunted. "Alright, fine! I will get up. "You're annoying."

"Take a bath there. I cooked your breakfast. Come down after you get ready. Where's your luggage? "

He asked, looking around to find where my luggage was.

"There." I pointed it out.

He took it and pulled it out of my room.

"Hurry up there, and the driver has been waiting for a while." Maybe your eyes will turn white because you're slow to move. "

"Ronald! Just go, I'm not slow to act! "
