Chapter 242 - Important information about what's next

Before starting with this novel, I want to share some reflections on my previous work in TWD. After receiving feedback from readers about my previous novel, I noticed that some felt that the protagonist lacked emotional depth. Therefore, in this new work, I set out to give Jacob's character more comprehensive development in the first 11 chapters.

I understand that not all readers are prepared to confront a character with such a profound evolution as the one I've created in this novel. Some of you may have been surprised, as I myself forgot that I was writing fanfiction and decided to take a more realistic approach to the narrative. Unfortunately, this led to approximately 70% of my readers discontinuing the story.

My intention in writing this novel was to reflect a situation that many may be experiencing right now. Although I believed it was a perfect story, I know not everyone shared that opinion, and I respect their perspectives, even if they were negative.

Despite the loss of readers and critical comments throughout the story, I tried to maintain the quality of the chapters from the beginning to Chapter 170. However, due to the circumstances, I decided to bring the story to a close as soon as possible.

I want to emphasize that I never intended to abandon this novel or any other I am currently writing. I admit that I felt depressed for a while, and there was more than a month during which I couldn't make much progress in the story. But somehow, I managed to finish it and left an open ending for a possible continuation where I can write with greater tranquility and introduce a new protagonist with whom everyone can feel more comfortable.

I invite you to share your ideas in the comments about how you would like the continuation to be and any works you would like to see included. I deeply appreciate those who followed this story to the end, and I hope you enjoyed the conclusion I've created.

I have always been committed to not abandoning a story, and I am glad to fulfill that commitment this time. I look forward to seeing you in my next release, where the theme will be different, and there won't be an orb present, as Jacob completely changed it in this novel.

If you have felt strong emotions with this ending, I am glad to have connected with you. I encourage you to take care of and love your family, remembering that family can take many forms. For me, my lifelong stuffed animal is part of my family, and a stray cat that comes into my house and sleeps on my couch whenever it pleases, too. (laughs)

As your writer and friend, Mr. Crow, I bid you farewell for now. See you on another occasion, and I hope you continue reading my novels for many years to come, until it's time to say goodbye.

I am already working on the continuation of this story, and I will share it when I have solid chapters and a consistent foundation. The new story will have a very different theme, and I am confident you will enjoy it. Thank you again for your support.

Take care and keep loving literature.

Sincerely, SrCuerbo

Note:

Dear fans and followers of our story,

I hope you are all well. I want to share some important news with all of you. Unfortunately, due to unexpected medical complications that have arisen in my body, I find myself in the need to postpone the release of the new part of this story.

I know that many of you will find this to be an abrupt ending, just like I do, and I was very excited, as you might have been, to continue the narrative with a fresh perspective. However, the health and well-being of my body are an absolute priority if I want to continue writing for you for many more years, and I will need to reduce the hours I spend writing, so for now, I will limit myself to this story. I was working on two new stories in addition to the continuation of this new book, but those will see the light a bit later.

It's not something serious, but if I don't take care of myself now, I might leave this world at a young age, so I hope you understand.

Once again, thank you for your constant support. In a few months, I may come back with more stories, and I will be a better writer by then.

With gratitude and affection, your writer, SrCuervo
