Chapter 192 - The end of the game

"[Your reaction speed is at your level, master! It appears he is equipped with bulletproof armor, so shots must go for the head, but engaging in close combat with your wounds is not advisable!]"

The wound on his leg, although not dangerous, has been neglected for a long time, so the pain slows him down, and his reaction speed is not fast enough if he wants to return to the auditorium and pass the bomb to someone else.

"What are the chances of surviving if I confront that person?" Jacob expressed his doubts while continuing to shoot at that man to keep him at bay.

"The chances of survival are 40% due to simulations showing that there is not enough time to return and pass the bomb that is active in your body!"

"What if you take control of my body for a brief moment?" Jacob suddenly thought about his AI assistant's control over his body.

"The chances of survival increase to 80%, master!"

"I just need to keep that person away. I don't want to eliminate him as it's too risky. So, we just need to keep him at a distance."

At this point, he had used 4 cartridges from his Glock 23 pistol out of the 10 he had, while his HL P30 had 15 cartridges in its magazine. With a range of fifty meters, it would be effective against that man, so after holding the pistols with both hands, he took a deep breath.

"Now!"

"[Taking control of your body! Processing... Success!]"

At that moment, Jacob stopped feeling pain, and all his muscles surged with a power he had never felt before. Adrenaline made his wounds stop bleeding, and he moved in that instant.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The suppressive fire towards his enemy was to increase the distance since to have better control of the fight, he needed to be at close range, and that was the only thing that could differentiate his victory against that person.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Jacob was controlled by the advanced artificial intelligence. Each of his movements was calculated and studied in detail. His objective was to eliminate the hooded man before time ran out. With just five minutes before the bomb in his body detonated, the pressure was overwhelming.

When Jacob got close enough, the last bullets from his Glock were depleted, but he had accomplished his objective.

The hooded man remained alert, his face hidden in the darkness of the hood. They faced each other, holding their guns firmly. Their gazes met, charged with their respective indifference as if what they were doing didn't represent any of their feelings.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The silence was broken by the sound of gunshots. Bullets flew through the air, leaving trails of death in their path. Jacob moved with agility, evading the projectiles with precise and rapid movements. His reflexes enhanced by artificial intelligence gave him a crucial advantage in combat.

Boom!

In an instant, close-quarters combat began. Jacob dropped his pistol and lunged at the hooded man with a direct punch. Fist against fist, their hands clashed in a deadly dance. The strikes were fast and powerful, each seeking to find a breach in the other's defense.

Time was against them, but Jacob didn't let the pressure distract him. He used fluid and precise movements, combining close-range attacks with quick dodges. His agility and superhuman reflexes allowed him to avoid the hooded man's attempts to shoot him.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The battle intensified with each passing second. The sound of blows echoed in the auditorium, mingling with gunshots and the roar of adrenaline. Both fought with ruthless ferocity, each seeking victory.

In a series of well-studied movements, Jacob momentarily disarmed the hooded man, seizing the opportunity to land a fatal blow. However, his enemy responded with a surprising move and freed himself from Jacob's grip. He quickly retrieved his gun and aimed directly at Jacob.

Time was running out. The countdown in Jacob's mind was incessant. He couldn't afford to hesitate or make mistakes. With one last burst of energy, he lunged at the hooded man, deflecting his weapon while delivering a desperate stab to his leg.

The impact was precise. The hooded man felt the pain of being stabbed, and his weapon once again fell to the ground. But even before he could retaliate with a knife attack, Jacob leaned back and struck the man's chest, creating a favorable distance.

"I've got you!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As Jacob said that, he held the hooded man's gun and fired continuously. The man was swift; his arms moved towards his head, and he jumped from the second floor, landing directly into a water fountain.

By the time Jacob wanted to shoot again, the click of his weapon indicated that he had no more rounds. Seeing that there were only 40 seconds left until he exploded, he turned his body back.

At the same time, Jacob heard a voice in the distance calling him, "Jacob, over here!"

It was Takumi, who had somehow managed to leave the auditorium on his own. Blood covered his body, and at this rate, survival would be impossible. "Jacob, we don't have much time, so listen carefully. The cards, well, where we come from, we believe that the cards will get us out of this place."

"Like a key?" Jacob asked after seeing the timer on his chest.

"Exactly, we believe that by gathering all of them, we could escape from here. At least one of us, but we might be able to do it." Takumi touched Jacob's body, and the bomb was transferred to him.

"Take this card to the beach; we don't have it, so it will be of great help. This trial is deadly; only two players over 80 have died... Remember, play to survive."

Jacob nodded and then moved away from Makumi; the information he had obtained was very valuable for continuing to progress in this place.

"And remember, Jacob, not everyone is like me!"

At that moment, the other door of the auditorium opened, and Usagi appeared while dragging the corpse outside. "Jacob, touch the corpse!"

"I'm fine, take cover!"

Boom!

Time ran out. The bomb in Makumi's body detonated, unleashing a devastating explosion that shook the place. Debris flew through the air, covering the auditorium in a cloud of dust and chaos.

Jacob managed to avoid damage and held onto Usagi tightly as they rested with relief.

"[Twelfth round completed, congratulations on surviving the Bomb Pass game!]"
