"Katniss, we have to record for the Capitol and deliver a message to our beloved President Snow." Jacob gently took Katniss' hand, who didn't resist at all.
"I have a TV crew for that, should I call them?" Boggs offered from the side.
"No, I have my own methods." Jacob said as he walked alongside Katniss towards the corpses of the mutations.
"What should I say?" Katniss was nervous.
"Just send a message to President Snow, be subtle but lethal," Jacob closed his eyes and said, "When you start speaking, the recording will begin as well."
Katniss nodded with a determined look.
"Citizens of Panem! This is Jacob speaking, leader of the rebellion and victor from District 3. Today, we have fought a memorable battle against the forces of the Capitol, and I proudly announce that we have emerged victorious. Our courage and determination have prevailed over oppression and tyranny. This is only the beginning of our fight for freedom and justice."
"I want this message to resonate in every corner of Panem, especially in the Capitol. I urge all of you to join us, to take a brave stance and defy the Capitol. Together, we can overthrow the oppressors and build a new future. The choice is yours: to follow a foolish leader who has ruled with an iron fist or to embrace a new dawn, the hope of a better Panem."
"We have witnessed the cruelty of the Capitol, the thirst for power of President Snow, and their indifference towards our lives. But today, I tell you, no more. We will no longer allow our lives to be controlled and manipulated by those who consider themselves superior. It's time to rise up, raise our voices, and fight for a world where everyone has a chance to live in peace and freedom."
"Now, I direct my words to President Snow. Mr. Snow, your time is running out, your reign of terror is coming to an end. Justice will prevail, and your oppression will be overthrown."
"And to the citizens of the Capitol, I speak with hope in my heart. Not all of you are complicit in tyranny. I urge you to reflect on your role in this world, on the consequences of your apathy. There is a different future possible, a future where we can all live in harmony and equity."
"Today, we mark a milestone in the history of Panem. I promise you, we will tirelessly fight for freedom and justice. Together, we will change the course of our destiny and build a better world. The Capitol will tremble before our determination and the strength of our hearts. Forward, citizens of Panem, it is time to rise up and claim our right to freedom!"
After Jacob's speech, Katniss approached President Snow with determination in her eyes and asked, "President Snow, how many lives must you take to feel satisfied? How much suffering must you cause to feed your ego and thirst for power? The time has come to be held accountable for your actions. The tyranny and oppression you have imposed upon the districts will not go unpunished. Justice will prevail, and the people of Panem will rise against you."
With her words echoing in the air, Jacob turned to the Capitol citizens, who listened attentively. His voice resonated with strength and determination, "Citizens of the Capitol, the choice is yours. You can continue to support a leader who has kept you in the dark, who has ignored your suffering and perpetuated an unjust system. Or you can join us, rise against oppression, and build a new future together. The choice is in your hands. Together, we can forge a Panem where everyone has an opportunity to live in equality and freedom. Join us and let us walk towards a new dawn!"
Jacob's words echoed through the Capitol, challenging the established norms and igniting a spark of hope in the hearts of those who had lived under the Capitol's yoke for so long. The fate of Panem hung in the balance, and the future teetered on a delicate equilibrium.
Boggs, not far from Jacob, remained cool. Where does that technology come from that is recording him at this moment? Regardless of that, he turned his gaze towards the others and gestured for everyone to board the hovercrafts.
"Let's go!"
…
The Capitol.
"Jacob Barber, who would have thought you would be so terrifying? If I had realized it, I would have killed you in the arena..." President Snow knew that the power in his hands had destabilized to such an extent that he doubted his ability to stop Jacob in this war, so there was only one path for that.
However, taking that path would bring terrible consequences, something that even he wouldn't like to see. The somber color spread throughout the Capitol, signaling the beginning of an incredible dark age for everyone.
...
District 11.
After the devastating war that ravaged District 11, the landscape and the lives of its inhabitants changed drastically. The once prosperous vast farmlands were now covered in battle scars and desolation. The fields lay abandoned, while the houses and buildings showed the ravages of the clashes.
The people of District 11, aware that the Capitol could seek retaliation, were forced to seek refuge in the surrounding forests and hidden caves in the mountains. Improvised trenches became their new home, providing a precarious respite from the constant threat.
The rebel forces of District 11 strategically dispersed themselves in key points, using their knowledge of the terrain and their mastery of guerrilla tactics. Hidden among the dense vegetation and intricate cave systems, they prepared to defend their home and their freedom. Communication between the different resistance groups was done carefully and discreetly, using signals and coded messages to avoid being discovered.
Solidarity among the inhabitants of District 11 grew even stronger during this time of adversity. The community came together in a spirit of resistance and bravery, sharing limited resources and providing mutual support. Together, they swore to protect their land and identity, ready to face any threat that loomed.
Meanwhile, life in the trenches and underground shelters was challenging. The scarcity of food and basic resources became an ongoing concern, fearing that it would reach a point where they could not satisfy their hunger. However, the determination of the people of District 11 did not waver. They knew they were fighting for a better future, for the freedom of their people and the end of Capitol's oppression.
Although the outlook was bleak and the Capitol's forces remained a latent threat, the people of District 11 stood firm in their goal to break free from the chains of oppression. They knew that victory would not come easily or quickly, but they were willing to pay the necessary price to secure a future of justice and dignity for their district.
In the midst of darkness and uncertainty, the spirit of resistance in District 11 burned with an unstoppable intensity. The trenches and hidden shelters became symbols of hope and resistance, reminding everyone that freedom and justice are values worth fighting for.
Hovercrafts descended one after another in the nearby forests and the main square of District 11. The rest of the soldiers were welcomed by the residents of this place and then led along special paths.
"It looks better than I imagined." Murmured Katniss weakly.
"The Hovercrafts couldn't bomb District 11, our technology rendered their attack systems useless." Jacob informed everyone about the outcomes of the battles fought.
"Let's rest. Tomorrow, at first light, we will fight in the districts that have not yet been liberated. Eat something and sleep. The airspace is secure under my watch!"
Everyone nodded silently, afraid to make too much noise. All eyes were on Jacob and Katniss with respect; they were the symbols of this rebellion.
