"Jacob! Jacob! Jacob!"
"[8 minutes until gaining control over the mutations!]"
"I'll hold on, I hope..." Jacob, who relaxed his muscles, began to move his Kusarigama. The chain swung with such force and precision that he was able to maintain an effective line of defense at least.
Roar!
The beasts started attacking. Their claws were sharp, and there was no doubt that Jacob's skin would be torn if an enemy attack touched him. Moving his right hand, Jacob wrapped his weapon around the neck of the first lizard-like creature in human form, then with the attracting force exerted by the creature itself, he attacked with the knife in his left hand.
"Ah!" Sliding down the roof of the house he was in, Jacob felt the ground give way, and shortly after, he fell alongside the beast.
Boom!
The force of the fall was advantageous for Jacob, but when he tried to retrieve the chain, he encountered serious problems.
Grrr!
The growl of the other two mutations did not wait. The first one entered through a hole in the roof, but by then, Jacob had already released his Kusarigama and, holding the edge of its blade, cut off the right arm of the creature.
Roar!!!
However, Jacob remained unfazed and quickly severed the creature's neck. Seeing that more targets were approaching through the window, he left the house and ran towards an open area.
While running, Jacob could feel the footsteps behind him, but at that moment, just after entering an open area, he saw several figures covering him.
"Move aside!" Brutus, accompanied by Johanna, raised their weapons and began shooting at the Mutos.
Bang Bang Bang! Bang Bang Bang!
The bullets penetrated the creatures' bodies, giving Jacob the necessary time to step back and stabilize his movements. "What are you doing here?"
"Saving your life!" Johanna said as she continued shooting.
"We're running out of bullets, Jacob. It's better that the plan Johanna told me about is true and this isn't a sacrifice!" Brutus dropped his weapon when he heard the click of an empty magazine, then he unsheathed two machetes and stood beside Jacob.
"Cover our backs!" Johanna pulled out two axes from one hand and quickly filled in the missing angle.
As Jacob felt that someone else was giving him something that he has also given to them, it showed that they are all together in this rebellion and that they are on the right path.
Tension hung in the air as Jacob, Brutus, and Johanna fought against the lizard-type mutations. As for their weapons, they were ready to take action. The evening seemed to come alive with the threatening sounds of the creatures lurking in the shadows.
"Stay together! We can't allow ourselves to be cornered." Jacob, as the leader of this uprising, had to convey that confidence to the others.
Brutus, with a smug and satisfied smile, reveling in this level of adrenaline, said, "I'm with you, Jacob! These monsters don't know who they're dealing with!"
"Here they come!" Johanna felt the cold air hitting her sweaty skin.
"[5 minutes to take control!]"
Roar!
Crack!
Jacob firmly grasped his Kusarigama, a deadly combination of a chain with a heavy iron ball on one end and a sickle on the other. His movements were fast and precise, swinging the weapon with mastery as he advanced towards the first mutant leaping at him. With a quick flick of his wrist, the chain coiled around the creature's neck, and with a precise pull, he decapitated it with the sharp blade of his weapon.
Brutus, on the other hand, wielded his double machetes with unmatched brutality. His tense muscles and fierce gaze demonstrated his combat experience. He moved with impressive agility, dodging the mutos' attacks and counterattacking ferociously. His machetes cut through the air with lethal precision, severing limbs and tearing the beasts' skin. Each strike was calculated, leveraging his strength and skill to overpower his opponents.
Johanna, with her twin axes in hand, was a true force of nature. Her fighting style was wild and ruthless, leveraging her small stature and speed to confuse the mutos. Her axes sank into the creatures' scales, inflicting deep and bloody wounds. With agile movements, she evaded the mutos' attacks, jumping and rolling on the ground while delivering deadly blows. Her determination was palpable, and her defiant gaze made it clear that she wouldn't give up easily.
The combat was intense and merciless. The mutos seemed endless, attacking in endless waves. Jacob, Brutus, and Johanna covered each other's backs, relying on their teamwork and individual skill to stay alive. Each had their own fighting style, but they moved in perfect synchronization, protecting one another and attacking with unbridled fury.
The fight was fierce, but at a certain point, things became complicated. A group of mutos surrounded Johanna, and her position became precarious. Attacks came from all directions, and her ability to dodge them was slowing down under the scratches she was suffering.
Feeling overwhelmed, Johanna cried out, "I need help here!"
"Johanna, hold on! I'm coming to you!" Jacob threw his Kusarigama to the side of Brutus and temporarily cleared his left side.
As Jacob ran towards Johanna, Brutus found himself in a ruthless confrontation with two powerful mutos. His machetes clashed against the creatures' sharp claws, but he was struggling to maintain his defense.
"These damn mutos are stronger than I thought! I need a distraction," muttered Brutus as he continued to retreat.
Jacob reached Johanna and defended her with his Kusarigama, striking the mutos that approached her dangerously.
"Let's not separate too far!"
Brutus fought valiantly against the mutos but was losing ground. One of the mutos managed to injure him in the arm, and his grip on the machetes weakened.
"I need help here, guys! I'm in trouble!"
Boom!
A knife thrown from a narrow angle struck one of the mutos' head, killing it instantly.
Jacob and Johanna fought their way towards Brutus, launching quick and precise attacks around him to keep the mutos at bay. Together, they managed to surround the creatures, creating an opening for Brutus to regroup.
"Hold on!"
Rrrr!!!
Johanna threw her axe, hitting the head of that Muto. Jacob, who was one step ahead, caught the axe and threw it to Johanna while defending against other attacks.
The sweat ran down their foreheads, and their breaths grew heavy, but there was no room for exhaustion. They knew that in this battle, survival depended on their bravery and skill. Blows and cuts were exchanged amidst the chaos as the mutos fell one after another, but there always seemed to be more in their path.
The battlefield filled with roars and screams, mixed with the metallic sound of weapons clashing. Jacob, Brutus, and Johanna stood firm, pushing forward without yielding ground. The seriousness in their eyes was unwavering, and their thirst for survival burned within them.
"[One minute, master!]"
Jacob, breathing heavily, knew that the chances of escaping without serious injuries were diminishing.
"Ahhh!" Johanna screamed in pain after receiving a cut on her leg. Brutus, who moved to help her, was attacked on his shoulder.
"Faster, I need to be faster!" Jacob, like the embodiment of a killing machine in a man, increased the speed of his attacks.
"[00:15 seconds!]"
"Ahhhhh!" Blood splattered everywhere.
"[00:05 seconds!]"
Jacob, who for a moment thought he would die, watched as all those dozens of creatures around him stopped. Only then did they realize they had won.
