"Let's keep moving forward, we won't have the same opportunities we have now if the Capitol takes action against us!"
"Yes, we must fight now and at least liberate District 3!"
"Let's fight, now or never!"
"What are the chances that they're right?" Jacob, with his back to those people demanding him to fight, asked his intelligent assistant.
"[Master, you certainly have the advantage of surprise if you initiate attacks in districts where they expect your arrival, everything is simpler, and the Capitol must be analyzing the magnitude of the uprising even now.]"
"Exploit the element of surprise, huh?" Jacob looked at Finnick and signaled him. Once Finnick approached, Jacob said, "I'm going to District 3. Once the children and young people in this place are evacuated, the adults will be sent to the forests of District 11 and 12, and the rest will stay here to defend this place."
"Jacob, that's a terrible idea." Finnick disagreed with Jacob. He knew what they had achieved was incredible, but he also knew that unexpected things were looming from the Capitol.
Jacob just smiled, signaled for everyone to board the hovercraft. "Let's go to District 3, be faster and eliminate the enemies."
"[Master, select special sites to park and strategically defend this place. It is not recommended to completely evacuate this area as it is an important zone to consider!]"
"Stay in this place, once it's secure, you can come and lend a helping hand." Jacob boarded a hovercraft and waved his hand to Finnick.
"Don't say goodbye, farewells always end in some kind of tragic death, so I never do that kind of rubbish... Didn't you just meet a week ago or something?" Johanna asked, getting close to Jacob, which startled him a bit.
"What are you doing here?" Jacob asked, slightly puzzled.
Johanna pointed to herself and asked, "Are you talking to me?"
"Eh? Yes, who else am I talking to apart from you?" Jacob rolled his eyes around.
"Whatever, handle this thing before it gets out of control." Johanna sat in the empty seat and started talking to the girl sitting next to her.
"Well, if you want to come, it's not my problem... Intelligent assistant, start heading towards District 3." Jacob said as he walked towards the front of the hovercraft.
"[Searching for a safe route, establishing a less conflicted landing zone!]"
...
District 3 was immersed in a dark curfew imposed by the peacekeepers. The air was filled with tension and fear as citizens took shelter in their homes, fearing the consequences of being victims of the Capitol's wrath even without having defied it yet.
The streets, once bustling with life and activity, were now deserted and silent. The shadow of oppression loomed over the district, and peacekeepers patrolled with vigilant eyes, ready to suppress any sign of resistance or anything out of the ordinary.
Every corner, every alley, was under close surveillance by the peacekeepers. Citizens, fearful of reprisals, whispered quietly among themselves, sharing what they knew about the fall of power in the rebelled districts.
In this oppressive scenario, Jacob and his group of rebels prepared for their assault. They knew they had to act cautiously to avoid unnecessary civilian deaths.
According to the plans Jacob had made, everyone would reveal themselves at the right moment, as that would certainly reduce problems and casualties. Some had doubts at first, but after seeing that everything was going according to their expectations, everyone waited in silence.
The hovercrafts approached at full speed, and when they reached the border of District 3, they slowed down. The formation divided the hovercrafts into two formations, one in the front and the other at the rear.
Jacob, in the pilot's seat, watched as the clouds obstructed his view, and the streets of District 3 seemed filled with a type of fog, making visibility difficult on many levels.
"Aren't I nervous?" Jacob asked himself.
"[Master, your body has generated a defensive reaction so that your senses are not easily altered, which you are feeling right now!]"
"I'm in autopilot mode..." Jacob realized he had done many things in such a short time.
"Boom!"
"Beep! Beep! Beep!"
"What's happening?" Jacob felt the explosion that shook the hovercraft, holding on tightly to avoid being jolted too much.
"[Master, we're being hit from the ground by enemies!]"
"Have they noticed?"
Unable to think properly, the hovercrafts increased their speed and managed to evade the bullets being directed towards them.
Boom!
"Jacob, what's going on?" Johanna asked from the back of the hovercraft.
"Assistant!"
"[We've lost power, indicating forced descent!]"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The hovercraft Jacob and his group were traveling in was engulfed in a hail of bullets. One of the bullets directly hit the engine, causing an immediate loss of control. The intelligent assistant fought to maintain stability, but eventually the descent became inevitable.
Boom!
The hovercraft descended sharply, swinging from side to side. The impact of the landing was violent, leaving everyone on board disoriented and dazed. As they regained consciousness, they realized the gravity of the situation.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"[Master, the enemies are approaching your position rapidly. I couldn't initiate a direct attack due to the people in the residences!]"
"[Master, if you don't move, I will initiate an attack to ensure your survival!]"
Jacob, aware of the urgency of the situation, quickly grabbed his weapon and exited the damaged hovercraft. His senses were alert as he assessed the surroundings. The forced landing had drawn the attention of the peacekeepers, and it was only a matter of time before they found themselves in the midst of a confrontation.
"No, don't come out!" Jacob saw several people coming out of their homes, so he stopped them. "Evacuate in the opposite direction, this place will become very violent."
The smoke and dust from the landing hindered visibility, but Jacob moved more and more. Despite the impact and confusion, his main goal was to protect his group and keep the mission going.
"Jacob, you're getting further away..." Johanna watched as Jacob moved away, so she quickly unbuckled her chest harness. The others followed suit and prepared themselves quickly.
"[Initiating aerial attack, after securing the area, the landing of the other rebels will begin!]"
Jacob, who had turned a corner, saw several white figures advancing in a straight line, so he fired.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Jacob managed to eliminate two peacekeepers, but the response from the others quickly made him retreat.
"Damn, there are too many of them!"
The smoke and dust from the landing hindered visibility, but Jacob moved enough to avoid harm. Despite the impact and confusion, his main goal was to protect his group and keep the mission going.
The sound of gunfire and shouts filled the air as the peacekeepers approached the crash site. Jacob knew he had no time to waste. His mind quickly calculated the options and strategies to follow.
While thinking, Jacob took a grenade and threw it onto the street.
Boom!
As the other members of the group recovered from the impact, Jacob cautiously advanced towards the enemy position. Each step was filled with risk, but his actions never stiffened. He knew his leadership was necessary to win.
Adrenaline pumped through his veins as he confronted the peacekeepers. Gunshots and explosions echoed around him, but Jacob stood firm, avoiding projectiles and returning fire with deadly precision.
"Intelligent assistant, I need support!"
"[Master, there are turrets hindering the entrance to District 3. It seems they weren't expecting us anymore!]"
