My gaze snapped up to that figure that had waddled into the space of my office. Those eyes which appeared warm, were fixed on me, form drawing even closer.
"You don't need to come in for any session today, I'll be leaving early" I called at once, taking my gaze off his.
"I'm not here for the session" He began, figure drawing over.
"I'm here to apologize"
The scoff left my lips, eyes beholding the green ones peering on at me.
"Why?"
"Because you can't seem to keep to your business, knowing that I have things of my own to deal with, and that I'm not some asset if yours and just leave me to my issues?" I called at once.
"I'm sorry, Cara" His voice was low.
"I'm really sorry"
"What were you thinking, Logan?!"
"Trying to protect me?"
"I was trying to protect you" He followed at once.
"But that's the thing, Logan. I'm not one of those girls you've been with who'd seek you fighting for them, or taking up all that concerns them"
"I don't need you to protect me!" I cried.
He fell silent, eyes held strongly in mine.
"It's my fault for caring" That utterance of his poured out under a low breath, gaze on my form.
"I should have held back"
"Why would you care?" I called at once, looking up at him.
"Don't you get it, Cara? You've gotten ahold of me!" His chest heaved, eyes locked in my hold.
"I care about you so much…I'm afraid I might have—
Those words were stopped mid-words, with gaze soon shifting off my figure.
"I just wish to apologize" He let out.
The silence was that was left englobing the area, with our gazes fixed in each other's accessing either of our forms.
"It's fine"
The sigh left my lips, eyes staring on at him.
"You may have your seat" I offered, pointing at the chair away, but he only remained where he stood, eyes still fixed in mine.
"I'd like to tell you something, Cara" His words were low, with gaze still rested in mine.
"My parents would like to meet you" He let out.
That utterance left my eyes gaping on at the form away, with every shock rushing to my gaze, I remained staring dumbfounded at that profile away.
"W-why?"
"What did you say to them, Logan?" My voice was found wavering, eyes widened at his form.
"Nothing" He followed at once. "They only would love to make their gratitudes known to the lady who's been helping out their son.
That utterance soon cracked the tensity that filled me, with those eyes soft in mine, it eased the worry off my gaze.
"What time would they like to meet?"
