Jia Li observed as Xianwu knelt down, deftly securing ribbons around her forearms to tightly bind the sleeves to her skin. This ensured her freedom of movement during the hunt, allowing her to maintain focus without the hindrance of loose clothing.
"Xianwu, you need to win today. This will be your first time showing your true skills to the world," Jia Li stated.
"I will," Xianwu assured her and lowered his hands after binding the ribbons over her sleeves. He stood up, extending his hand to her. Jia Li grabbed it and stood up. The two walked out of the chamber to the main palace ground, where everyone had gathered.
After giving the formal bows to the elders, they headed to the nearest forest in the hills. Xianwu glanced at his father, who smiled to see him. That was definitely odd for him. He entered the palanquin in which Jia Li was already present.
"The interior looks beautiful," Xianwu said.
