Wangjie looked at his mother, who gave him a talisman. "The priest said it will protect the prince from the evil eyes," said Lady Hu Cheng to his son.
Wangjie took it from his mother and tore it into pieces. "Mother, don't ever bring such superstitious things to me. I hate it," he said with annoyance.
"How could you tear the talisman, son? Do you even know the consequences of it? What has gotten into you? You never acted in such a way before," Lady Hu Cheng suddenly turned angry.
Wangjie chuckled at his mother's words. "That's because I thought the talismans you brought really work," he affirmed.
Lady Hu Cheng asked Wangjie if he was in some kind of stress. "You can tell me. I will bring a solution to your problem," she offered while being worried.
"What can Mother even do?" Wangjie looked away and told her she should leave as he wanted to rest for a while.
