Alex opened his eyes and found himself in a strange environment. It doesn't look like a hospital, as he discovered that he was in some kind of student room.
"Where the hell am I?" He muttered to himself as he looked around trying to find something.
"Why is my head hurting so much. It must have been because I fell so hard." He said as he tried to caught sight of a mirror or something, to see how deep the wound was.
The room in which he found himself exuded an air of youthfulness; football stickers and wallpapers could be seen all over the walls. Wallpapers of swords, fighters, martial artists, gangs, boxing and several others were also hung over the wall of the room. But among them all, there was a picture frame with a young boy in view.
Alex leaned closer to the picture and instantly recognised who it was.
"This… The school kid. The one that was bullied." He said in awe, only to be left in deep confusion again.
"How am I in his house, shouldn't I be in the hospital?" He wondered, looking all over the house till he found a small-sized mirror in the sitting room.
Taking a look at his reflection, his eyes widened with shock, leading him to drop the oval shaped mirror on the floor.
"What is this? It can't be real."
He picked up the mirror again, calmly looking at the features ever so slowly.
With his right hand raised above his head, he looked at the mirror, hoping to see something different. Surprisingly, he saw the same reflection of the boy he saw minutes ago with his hands raised above his head.
If not for how the reflection was doing the exact thing he was doing, he would have thought the boy was stuck in the mirror. He laughed to himself, sensing how unrealistic it was.
Things like that only happen in novels, but now that he thought of his own situation, he came to a realisation that he was in the boy's body rather than the former being stuck in the mirror.
"This isn't possible, is it?" He said to himself; touching his face while still glancing at the mirror.
"How did I end up…" His eyes widened once more as he thought of something. "I transmigrated into his body?!" He exclaimed with his mouth open, noticing his now different voice.
Suddenly, a ringing tone could be heard coming from a phone. It was the same ringing tone as Alex's phone, so he thought his personal bodyguard or manager was the one calling.
"I need someone to explain what exactly is going on with me." He went back into the room and picked up the ringing phone that laid by the side of the bed.
He took a careful look at the phone and noticed that there were difference. "This doesn't look like my phone."
Although they were from the same company, and were of similar phone model, the back-cover; also known as phone pouch, were totally different. Alex's pouch was blue, while this one had a black cover.
On the phone screen was the caller saved as homeroom teacher. "Homeroom teacher? Who is that?"
He decided to pick the call, and due to his unsolved mystery of being inside another person's body, he decided to play along as the boy for now.
"Hello?" The caller said, which Alex recognised the voice to be that of a lady. He gave his reply and added teacher to the end of his statement.
"Oh Alex, thank God you're awake." The lady said, causing Alex to furrow his brow at the mention of his name. "The doctor told me to check up on you since you'll be awake soon. I just call to confirm. How's your head, I heard you hit them pretty bad. Come to school tomorrow, the cops wants to speak to you about Alex's incident. I heard you were the last person he talked to."
"What happened to Alex?!" He asked, his voice was raised a little higher than normal.
"Alex Stale is dead." The lady replied. "It's posted all over the web."
"What did you just say?!" Alex shouted, frightening the caller from the other side.
"You know what Alex, I'll call you back." The lady instantly ended the call.
Alex was left alone in the strange room, thinking about what he just heard. A sudden realisation had hit him. He now understood how he ended up in this boy's body. His legs had gotten wobbly and before he knew it, he had passed out on the floor.
___
Moments later, he woke up, but then a sudden headache hit him. It was as if his head was being occupied by a lots of stuffs all at once. A banging sound could be felt as he pulled onto his hair, trying to ease that pain.
He held onto his head with both of his hands, screaming in pain as series of emotions and pains gushed through his mind. A seventeen years memory flashed through his mind like a movie; episode by episode kept on storing in his mind.
Until about thirty minutes later, it all stopped with his headache nonexistant and his mind becoming more clear and active than ever.
Looking at the room he found himself, they no longer seemed strange to him, he felt like he had been in this place for more time than he could have imagined.
"This…" he glared at all the wallpapers on the wall and remembered vividly how he got to purchase it. Technically, it wasn't him but instead another person. He was experiencing the memories of another person in his own.
"This person's name… it is the same name as mine. But with different surnames. He's way more younger than me. He's an orphan living in this apartment all alone. But…" Alex sighed softly. "He really went through a lot."
Then he remembered his own situation, how he died but ended up in another person's body. His mind was the same but he was in a different body, the body of a young seventeen years old boy; having no father or mother - An orphan.
He picked up the phone from the ground and started scrolling through the contents till he spotted a specific application.
"XTweet should do." He said, clicking on the social media app. "Maybe this is some kind of prank. I'll only believe it if I see an evidence that states that I'm dead."
A notification appeared above the app after loading for a while.
"Welcome back USER HYDRO, check out the following trending tweets."
"Truth about Alex's death."
The tweet was the first he saw, so he clicked on it, and was taken to a different tab when a context about his death was made.
The context read as thus;
"Gazzanians have taken to social media to mourn the passing of a Gazzanian artist, Alex Stale, aka VampAlex.
"The infamous music artist reportedly died on Thursday at the age of 30. Alex's death was officially announced by the vice director of Alley Entertainment, Thomas Hemsworth, about a couple of hours ago.
"Hospital tests and investigations are currently being carried out, but up till now, the cause of Alex's death is unknown, which was a shocking mystery to all.
"Alex Stale, a young man of age thirty, who had managed to attain an incredible position of the top most followed celebrity on XTok, XTube and XTweet, had received a lot of pitiful statements from his fans nationwide. Below are the fan's reaction to his death."
"Oh no, not my Alex. Why does he have to die!"
"I always look forward to his DFG matches, I enjoy it more than anything. Too bad he's gone. RIP Legend!!"
"He only just became XTok's director, I swear he would have become the richest man in the whole world."
"But he looked fine to me yesterday, then why??"
Alex was able to view the multiple reactions from his friends and fans, and while he did, he couldn't help but tear up at all the comments. They were all too heartbreaking and painful to read.
The comments he was receiving from all his fans in the country of Gazzan and other countries nationwide, about his death, had caused a realisation to hit him, and at the moment he could no longer deny the fact that he was actually dead.
He tossed the phone to a corner and went on a somber mood with his head placed in between his two knees. He tried to cry his eyes out but nothing was coming out of them. He closed his eyes and open them severally, trying to force a drop of tear to come out but it all proved futile.
"Why?! Why can't I cry my eyes out? Is my eyes dead too. I understand that I transmigrated into another person's body, which I believe only happens in story. But now that it happened in real life, why haven't I received a system or anything that will appear above my face."
Almost at that moment, as if someone was listening to his words, a translucent screen had appeared above his face, frightening him for a second. But he soon realised what it was. His teary mood turned glamorous all of a sudden, as he looked at the floating object in front of him.
"A system tab… they finally gave me one! It looks just exactly as the one described in novels. And fantasy movies too. I never thought I was going to get one in,… REAL LIFE! I didn't realise a system from a novel would actually appear to me in real life. Is it because of what I said?" He chuckled to himself.
Alex was also fond of reading stories and novels, especially fantasy and science fictions novels. He enjoyed reading them during his siesta, so he knew a lot about unnatural stuffs like transmigration, systems and magic.
The more he thinks of this strange translucent screen, the more he realised how similar it looks to the VR Game Tab, where players would select the options for their next game.
Getting out of his thoughts, he opted to read what information was shown to him by the blue translucent screen hovering above his face.

After reading the above messages, series of questions started running all over his head, he understood some of the displayed information like the voice statistics, body structure statistics, and several other info like the composing skill.
He knew he needed to improve the functionality of the new body he found himself if he wanted to become a star, and that pointed mainly to his voice.
From a quick song he sang, he realised how croaky and gruff his voice sounds. If he was to use this type of voice to enter a contest, he'll undoubtedly be eliminated at the first round.
"If I could increase my voice stat to a 100%, then I'll have no problem winning any contest. The problem now is how to increase them, and those cheat points, what exactly are they and how do I get them?"
As if on cue, another system message appeared above his face, but rather than displaying the importance of cheat points to him, a different set of instructions was given out.
[Please visit the nearest game shop and login to the DFG to activate Goal 2]
He tried swiping backwards to the voice stats notification but he couldn't, the same message kept on appearing every time.
[Please visit the nearest game shop and login to the DFG to activate Goal 2]
[System cannot continue until the above instruction has been completed]
