After putting down his name, Alex was registered and directed towards the stage arena where the contest was said to hold. He proceeded to sit in seat number 202 which he had purposely requested from Gwen.
He got inside the arena and started moving towards seat number 202 which was just right beside where Bob was sitting. We could say he had took a liking of the stranger and would love to know more about him.
"Huh? You're sitting here?" Bob said as he saw Alex sat in the chair next to him.
"Yeah, I was given seat number 202, so I'll be performing right after you. Or are you nervous about that too?"
Bob chuckled dryly and nodded negatively. "Not at all, I was just surprised that you'll be sitting beside me. So, what aspect are you participating in for the contest?" He asked.
"Singing, and you?" Alex replied.
"Dance, I've always wanted to be a famous dancer like Roma Lee and Speedy. I learnt each and every step of their dances, that I could do it even with my eyes closed. Isn't that amazing?"
Roma lee and speedy are two popular dance celebrities who at one point of time had participated in the UIC, upcoming idol contest. They have both won a gold award; the highest a dancer could ever win at their own respective year of participation.
"So what do you say? Do you think I could win this whole competition thing?" Bob asked, tilting his head to the side to take a look at Alex. It was then that he realised that the person beside him was quite handsome. Though it wasn't too impressive, it was still considerable for a superstar-to-be like him.
Alex who was also able to get a closer view of Bob could see that he was handsome, probably too handsome for a dancer. It would have been great if he had chosen to be a singer, perhaps his looks would have given him a massive support from female fans. But being a dancer doesn't mean he couldn't get a massive fan. In fact, dancers are greatly loved by people since not everyone could dance.
'It's a good thing I decided to add some cheat points to my looks, it'll be needed if I want support from fans nationwide.'
"I'm sure you know that I haven't seen you dance before so I don't know exactly what to say. After all, seeing is believing, Isn't it?" Alex gave his reply. "But if you're confident you can win, then I'm sure you might have a chance."
"If it's about confidence, then I'm very sure I can win this, I'm going to shame everyone who thinks I can't do this without their influence." Bob pumped his fist together with determination as he stared up above. "And as for what you said, you're going to have your mind blown once I get on the stage."
Alex just chuckled to himself as he listened to Bob boast of himself. It was people like this who usually end up losing the contest at their first try. Their overconfidence may eventually put them into trouble or they might come to face something they weren't expecting to happen.
At that moment, Alex eyes flew towards an area in the hall, and then he spotted something odd; at the right side of the hall, there were about six blue coloured seats which were placed differently from the red coloured ones, meant for all participants.
But that wasn't exactly what surprised him, it was the fact that an imprint of VIP was placed on every of those seats. He knew that the VIPs have a special booth located in another section of the building, away from the eyes of the public. All of them had agreed to this since they could see all what is going on in the arena from the Tv.
Most of them were sponsoring the UIC, and during the time he was still alive, none of them had requested to stay and watch the contest directly from the arena. Although the name of their company was revealed to the public and also that they were sponsoring the contest, they had decided not to announce to anyone about their presence during the contest for many reasons, with security being among them.
'But why would they decide to show themselves to the public now?' The more Alex thought of this, the more he kept on getting the feeling that something devious was about to happen.
Soon, the next participant had arrived, sitting in seat number one at the very front of the arena. Then about a couple of minutes after, more and more participants kept on entering the arena and before they realised it, the whole hall had been filled up. From seat number 1 to 200, they've all been occupied and starting from the seat next to Alex; 203, up to seat number 718, they too have been occupied. It was only after the last number got into seat that a different set of people could be seen walking in.
They didn't come from the door where all other participants had arrived, instead they had came in through another door.
The people coming in were five in number, with a mixture of four guys and one lady. As soon as they appeared in the arena, some people had immediately recognised some of them. One would have thought they were the judges due to their expression, but surprisingly they weren't.
Although Alex didn't recognise any of those people, Bob did, in fact, two of these newcomers were related to him. The five walked towards the blue coloured seat which had the imprint of VIP written on the back and front of it, and instantly, they all sat in them.
"They finally came, didn't they?" Bob smirked.
"Who are they?" Alex asked.
