Kamiya left the portal he had created and arrived directly at his home.

Without thinking, he released the detection magic and extended it to Hyoudou's residence.

'Please.....'

While hoping his parents were okay, Kamiya vaguely felt two presences in the Hyoudou residence.

'.... Thank goodness...'

A feeling of relief came over him, but it did not cover his feelings of anxiety and restlessness.

In the end, he decided to visit the Hyoudou residence to prevent anything untoward from happening.

"Where are you going? Your expression looks very worried..."

"..?"

Kamiya was a little surprised by the voice, but Nox's sudden arrival seemed to make him feel even more relieved.

"Nox-san, when did you wake up?"

"I just woke up and wanted something to eat. By the way, you haven't answered my question yet."

"Ah. I want to visit our neighbors"

"Okay."

Nox nodded and went to the fridge to eat something.

Meanwhile, Kamiya replaced his damaged uniform with magic and went straight to the Hyoudou residence.

'I won't let anything happen...'

"Azazel"

Vali called to Azazel, who was sitting on top of an unfinished building, looking out at the city lights.

"What's wrong Vali?"

"..."

Vali closed his eyes for a moment, like someone unsure of his decision, and then continued what he wanted to talk about.

"Should I go to this conference?"

Vali looked as if he was questioning the clarity of the continuation of this world.

"Of course, aren't you one of the greatest dragon owners, Hakuryuuko? This is the first step towards a better world."

"...."

He still had doubts about the conference.

"Azazel...If this conference goes well, will there be no more wars?"

"...I don't know.... I'm not sure."

The two of them stared silently at the city lights and watched carefully until Vali decided something in his mind and said

"a world without god...."

"..."

"I only regret being born in this era."

"Hajime-chan?"

"Excuse me for a moment, Miki-san..."

After changing his clothes, Kamiya went to the Hyoudou residence to see how Miki and Gorou were doing.

He hoped that neither of his parents were being targeted at the moment, but seeing Gorou's absence made Kamiya even more worried, but he could not show it.

"What's wrong? You came here at noon, not usual."

Miki smiled at Kamiya who came to visit her. It was rare to see Kamiya out of the house or showing up even though they were neighbors.

"Um... I wanted to thank you for the dishes you made that time... I couldn't express this gratitude because I had to leave the day after I ate the dishes you made..."

Kamiya rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit embarrassed to say this so late.

"Oh! Did you like it?"

Miki was very excited to hear her cooking mentioned, it was always nice to get opinions on her cooking.

"Yes, I liked it..."

Kamiya nodded, remembering something.

"Ah...wait a minute..."

Kamiya ran to his house and picked up a few things, including the food box he had received from Miki earlier.

"This is a small gift of my gratitude..."

Kamiya gave Miki a vase of Ajisai flowers with a mixture of white, black, and blue colors, and the flowers decorating the vase were also Ajisai flowers, blue like the sky.

"What is this...this vase is beautiful!"

"Do you like it?"

"Yes...I like it a lot, but...if it's just for a box of food, I think it's too fancy..." Miki looked a little uncomfortable because the item she was being gifted looked very valuable.

"...ahaha..."

Kamiya laughed a bit and closed his eyes.

"No, actually, the food you made is too priceless for me...and I can say that it's the best hamburger steak I've ever had."

There was no lie in those words, Kamiya was truly telling the truth from the bottom of his heart. For him, who had not tasted his mother's cooking for a long time, this box of food could bring back long-forgotten memories.

Kamiya began to remember how he used to help his mother cook, eat with her, and even study her delicious cooking. To him, Miki was the goddess of cooking who had come down to earth to bless him with good food.

"Miki-san..."

"...."

"If there's another chance... I'd like to try your cooking again..."

Handing over the vase of flowers and the box of food, Kamiya bowed in gratitude and turned to go back to his house. Miki was silent as she looked at the vase of flowers and the box of food.

"...wait a moment Hajime-chan..."

"Miki-san...?"

.

.

My life has always been full of joy.

Since I met Gorou-san, or even before I met him, my life has been really colorful.

I played with my friends, helped my parents, went to school, attended festivals, and even worked as a moonlighter.

It was all very enjoyable, and even though there were moments when I felt that life was bad, I always looked at it with a happy feeling.

Then, when I entered high school, I met Gorou-san.

He was from the countryside, and the reason he came to Kuoh City was because Gorou-san's parents wanted him to get a better education.

To be honest, when we first met, I didn't have any impression of him, just as classmates who knew each other.

And Gorou-san's behavior at that time was very perverse. How could he bring erotic books to school? And he even had tons of male friends who shared the same hobby.

But on the contrary, the girls were rather disturbed by Gorou-san's behavior, including me. But even so, Gorou-san was smiling and kind to everyone, and he wasn't ashamed to apologize and encourage those around him.

That's why even though Gorou-san is a pervert, a lot of people are close to him.

And there was a time when we had to do a group project, and Gorou-san and I happened to be in the same group. We didn't talk much at first, but as time went on, we started talking about trivial things like brainstorming, finding solutions together, and even laughing together.

As time went on, I never thought that I would get close to Gorou-san as more than a friend. Although we met often, we ended up just exchanging greetings and asking each other how we were doing.

But one day all that changed. In just one incident, my view of him had changed drastically.

As I was walking home from my second job, some street thugs were harassing a grocery store cashier in an alley, and I could see the fear in the cashier's eyes. When I saw this, I immediately texted the police and told them where I was.

By the time I finished telling my location, one of the thugs was already behind me, with an evil grin, he grabbed my hand roughly and threw me against the wall with the cashier.

The terrified cashier helped me up and hugged me, and one of the thugs told his boss that he had found me playing with my cell phone.

The tall and burly thug began to approach, scaring me and the cashier even more, the closer he got, the more the smell of tobacco wafted into my nostrils. My mind couldn't concentrate on running away, I had also imagined my future fate after this, but someone didn't let anything bad happen.

"STOP THAT!"

"Huh?"

"....?"

The thugs turned their heads to the right to see who dared to yell at them. I was also curious to see who that person was, but I could already guess who it was from his voice.

"What the hell do you want? Do you want to be beaten?"

"..."

Gorou-san stood still as his eyes continued to stare intently at the thugs.

"..... Then you want to try to hit me?"

"...? ph-PHAHAHAHAHA"

The approaching thugs burst out laughing and immediately punched Gorou-san in the stomach.

Gorou-san was shocked and in pain, he growled in pain while holding his stomach.

"Come on...don't faint already..."

Then the other thugs stepped on Gorou-san's back until he collapsed.

"What is this? You act like you're strong, but it turns out you can't even withstand a single punch from me?"

The thug cursed Gorou-san, who was in pain while grabbing his hair.

"Tell me, do you want to die from a punch or a kick?"

"...."

Gorou-san, who was staring at the thug's face in pain, suddenly spat at him, making the thug confused for a moment.

"...and you thought...I wouldn't do anything..."

".... YOU SUCK!"

*Punch

A crushing blow hit Gorou-san's face, really making his nose bleed and even cracking his glasses.

"You dead dog!!!"

The thugs continued to kick and punch him

until someone shouted

"GOROU!!!"

""???""

A group of high school students suddenly ran towards the thugs and they fought 3 against 8.

Although they were outnumbered, the adults were physically superior. They exchanged punches and kicks, and some even brought wood.

The cashier at the grocery store and I were terrified and hugged each other even tighter until someone grabbed my hand.

"Kojima-san! Come here!"

"!"

I immediately followed him out of the alley.

When we got out, the police arrived and started to break up the fight.

No one in the student camp was hurt too badly, but the adult camp looked exhausted and had bruises all over their faces.

When I saw all those students who were in pain get up and smile again, I felt guilty that I had caused their injuries.

"Kojima-san

"Hyoudou-kun?"

"Are you okay?"

"...." I nodded.

"Thank goodness, I thought they were going to hurt you, I got carried away and ended up getting angry... But seeing that you're okay, I calmed down again"

"..."

At that moment, my view of Gorou-san changed 180 degrees. I used to be a little annoyed by his nature, but now... I have come to like everything he does.

.

.

.

.

We started dating a week after the incident.

I've started to get used to Gorou-san's hobbies, and sometimes I even learn what he likes.

A man's dream is to have an understanding and supportive wife, and Gorou-san definitely wants that, I'm constantly striving to become his ideal wife. My confidence in becoming his wife didn't change

when we graduated from high school, and 2 years after Gorou-san found a job, he came to my house and asked me out on Christmas Eve.

Is he going to give me another present? Or is he going to take me out to dinner? I'm really looking forward to it.

It feels like every day there are new and unexpected moments in our lives, and of course today is one of them.

"Miki...."

"What's wrong, Gorou-san?"

Gorou-san stopped in front of the large Christmas tree in the middle of the plaza.

"If... if our relationship continues like this... I think I'll become selfish and eventually lose control and attack you..."

"...?"

I smiled confusedly and looked at Gorou-san, whose face was flushed with either cold or embarrassment.

"Because of this.... ....um.....*whisper..."

"Gorou-san? What are you whispering?"

"ugh...."

Gorou-san seemed to look even more flushed and stammered

"w-w-w-wi-..."

"...wi?"

"wil-withk....."

"...."

Ah.... he bit his tongue....

"Oh my...Gorou-san...you are..."

I came closer and started to grab his hands, then placed them on my cheeks as I said.

"Now...tell me what you want to say..."

"....."

With these warm hands, I feel like I'm safe from everything, with his flushed face, I'm somehow always fascinated, and with his behavior, I'm always never bored.

Everything this man has makes me unable to think of any other man, not even once.

"M-MIKI!!!"

"Yes~?"

"Will..."

"..."

"Will you..."

My tears are about to fall at the thought of what he might say next.

"Will you--?!!!"

Before he could say any more words, I kissed him, it might not have been the first time we kissed mouth to mouth. However, the feeling conveyed was very different.

"...You don't have to force yourself anymore, Gorou-san..."

"..."

Gorou-san stopped and looked at me in confusion.

"No matter what happens..."

"..."

"No matter what the future awaits..."

"I...I will always be with you...hold your hand...smile...and cry with you..."

"...Miki..."

"And you know..."

"...?"

"Since the beginning..."

Yes, I guess God knows what's best for me.

"From the beginning... I was yours..."

"..."

We looked at each other and cried happily.

And it started to snow without us noticing, the snow was like a witness of our promise and our love.

There is no happier moment than this one....and of course, every moment will definitely be covered with a small memory...

Of course, it's a kiss.

.

.

.

.

"Okaa-san! It's snowing! Let's go to the plaza!"

"Wait a minute, Issei-chan"

It's been a decade since we got married, and we're finally blessed with two children who are

twins.

"Issei, wait a minute"

"Nii-chan! Hurry up! Hurry up! We may not be able to enter the square at this speed"

"Oh my God...just wait!"

Yes...one is childish and the other looks mature...maybe too mature for her age?

"Miki..."

"...Gorou-san?"

"Merry Christmas...Happy New Year...and... I love you"

"....yes...I love you too"

it all ends with another kiss, for a happy day

Merry Christmas

and also...

Happy New Year.
