I walked through the hallway, using my eyes to scan the area for Jayden.
"Alex"
I rolled my eyes, that's obviously Dexter. What does he want from me this time? I tuned.
"What now?" I raised a brow.
"I keep falling for you everyday, pretty" he took my hand in his.
"Dexter, I'm not foolish. I won't fall for your silly tricks again" I rolled my eyes.
He chuckled "I mean it. I love you"
"Then go to hell. Or pretend I'm dead"
"Seriously?"
"Dexter, just let me be" I pulled my hand away, almost walking out but he pulled me back.
"Why don't you just let me be?"
"I need your help"
I raised a brow "seriously?"
"Look, I'm really sorry about the last time"
"Oh! You know how to say sorry?"
"Please" he squeezed my palms.
"What exactly do you want me to do for you?"
"You know Kiara, right?"
Who doesn't? I hate her, literally. She's too full of herself. I really don't get why people are dying to be friends with her. It's even more annoying that Dexter is asking about the same Kiara that Raymond dumped me for. If I could, I'd've killed her a long time ago.
"What about her?"
"Are you friends with her?"
Never! But I really need to know where this is going.
"Yes. But not so close"
"Please, I need you to help me talk to her"
"About?"
"Uhmm... I..."
"You like her, right?"
He scratched his head "I... I... don't... th..."
"Lying? It's written all over you"
"Fine" he sighed "I do really like her but she doesn't seem to notice me, I've tried talking to her but I guess she's too busy and..."
"Or maybe she's got a boyfriend already" I interrupted, smirking.
"At least, we could be friends"
"So you can take over when her boyfriend leaves, right?"
"Right" his lips curled into a smile.
Dexter is suck a dreamer. No matter what, Kiara would never want him for a best friend, talk moRe of boyfriend. But I'd help him so I'd mock him in the end.
"I'd talk to her"
His eyes widened "Are you really gonna help?"
I nodded.
"I... I just don't...."
"Alexis?" That should be Jayden.
"Jay, I've been looking for you" I walked to him and he pushed me aside.
"Dexter"
"What?"
"Why can't you just stay away from anything that has to do with me, huh?" he grabbed him by the shirt.
"Jayden, he was just asking for help" I tried to explain.
"Shut it" he yelled at me.
"Nothing serious is going on"
"I see. Then why hold hands with her?"
"How wrong is that?" Dexter pushed him.
"Just stay away from her, okay?"
"Are you gonna tell me who I'd be friends with?"
"Anyone but not her. Wasn't Blair enough? Or are you tryna get me annoyed? Again?"
"Speaking of Blair, you..."
"I don't wanna hear it" he pulled me away, leading me to somewhere I don't know. The room was a bit dark, I could hardly see. He pushed me to sit on a chair.
"The next time, I see you with that bastard. I'd keep you here till you decide to use your brains"
"But Jayden, he's just a friend"
"Oh! Really? Then I don't want you to be friends with him"
"Are you the boss of me?"
"Certainly"
"Then, I quit!" I shouldn't have said that, though. He turned on the light. I squinted, trying to adjust to the sudden brightness.
"What is this place?" I looked around, it was amazingly beautiful. Different paintings, everywhere. Stains of paint, all around too.
"It's my private art room"
"How come?"
"It's secret"
"Then why am I here?"
"Because you're not a blabbermouth"
"Alright" I nodded "can I go now?" I added.
"No"
"Please, there's something really important I have to do now. Plus, I can't skip classes"
"Alright" he raised his hands to surrender.
..................................................................................
I felt nervous, talking to Kiara is a hard task which I'm about to do now. How'd I even get her attention with all those people hovering around her like beez... I've got to try anyway. For Dexter. Not like I like him or something, It's just that I know the outcome of all these.
"Uhmm... Hello? Kiara?"
She gave me a weird look. I expected it, anyway.
"How can I help you?"
"We need to talk"
"You mean?"
"I have something important to tell you"
"Okay, go on" she said, like I was disturbing.
"In private"
She groaned, rolling her eyes at me. I waited for what'd happen next. I didn't expect her to stand up but she did.
"So, what?" she asked after we got to a more secluded place.
"How are you feeling?" that was a weird thing to ask but I couldn't just bring it up like that.
"Can you go straight to the point? I'm busy"
"Uhmm... Okay. Do you know, Dexter?"
"Uhh... I... don't know so. But..."
"He's been trying to tell you something but you haven't been taking notice of him"
"What's that?"
"I have no idea. But I think you should listen to him"
"Okay" she nodded "thank you"
"It's nothing" I walked away.
"Alexis"
I turned.
"Please, tell him to see me"
I raised a brow. Why does she feel like she's some type of celebrity or something? That sucks! Hey, I'm not jealous. I'm just saying the truth.
