Just a Normal Footman

Good soldiers follow orders. That's what I thought back in the war. But after the incident in Iraq? I don't know what's right anymore. Ever since World War 3 began, men of all ages were drafted, with my father being one of them. He didn't make it back. I joined the war a few months later in hopes of avenging him, only to accomplish nothing. Burning villages and crying families were the only things I brought with my hands. Not vengeance. And so, what did I do when I realized what I am doing is wrong? I rebelled. I took as many of my comrades with me as the enemy commander retreated. I know I might not see the gates of heaven, but, if God is willing, I wish to repent.
