Chapter 14 - THE REQUEST[13]

[FINN POV]

[Aidoneus household]

Groggily waking up from his slumber, getting him was the familiar ceiling of his room, Finn moves his body trying his best to lie upright, but fails due to exhaustion.

Touching the top of his head, he winces from the pain.

"Yeesh...the old man must have used all his strength in that his last attack.."(no he didn't..)

'where did I go wrong during the fight...I should've probably held onto my sword a bit better, I'm going to need to get used to fighting with our without the sword too...hmm'

The familiar clicking of the door broke him or of his train of thought, and in came Joshua with a rather apparent red hand print(slap print) on his face.

'Heh... serves him right. What kind of adult does that to a six year old! Well I'm not one to be talking either.. welp the damage is already done'

"Hello... earth to Finn... can you hear me? Joshua says as he does random gestures to get his attention.

"You did well kid! A lot better than me at that age, looks like you inherited your mom's monstrous physique.."

'Oh yh... Mom...' its been six years since she died, I know I'm supposed to be sad about it... but the entire situation is just weird to me... for most of my life( this current life) I've always viewed Aunt Margaret as my mother and I always will. But it just feels weird you know?

Well enough of the sappy stuff, I've still got a long way to go before I'm strong enough to look for Jake on my own, I can waste anymore time.

"Uncle Joshua."

"What's up kid?"

"Please train me" Said Finn while bowing.

....

"You don't really have to do that kid, I was going to do it either way, you don't have to bow to me y'know?" Says Joshua a bit flustered by the situation.

"Really!! Thank you thank youuuuuuu!!!"

*CRACK*

his excitement was short lived, before he crashed back into the bed from his wounds.

Joshua snickers at his antics.

'He really is your son Minerva'

"But I can't teach you sword fighting, not yet at least"

Predicting the retort of the six year old Joshua continued.

"I'm not done. Although I can't teach you sword fighting not until you learn the basics from your grandfather."
