Chapter 11 - The Hunter Academy

A/N: Smaller chapter than usual to not bore you with the usual novel chatter. Like all beginnings of a novel , there will always be some slowness, but after that, it's going to be much more exciting and fun!

==================================

**One month later...**

*Vroum Vroum!*

" Who that guy ??? "

" Tchh !! Commoners ....  "

" Nice bike !!! BRO !!!  "

"Isn't that you brother?" a young man pointed towards the guy on his bike ,  dressed in the academy's official uniform.

The young girl standing beside him turned her gaze in the direction indicated by the young man, her expression reflecting a sense of melancholy.

"Yes" she confirmed with a nod.

"Don't worry," the young man tried to console her, "one day, he'll come to realize he has an incredible sister waiting for him."

However, his words seemed to have the opposite effect, as the young girl appeared even more disheartened.

On the other side, our protagonist arrived with his motorcycle, which he called the "AE86."

He had spent the entire month modifying its original appearance .

It now had a much more futuristic look, with a holographic screen and many other features...

Ever since he had arrived in the vicinity of the academy, he couldn't stop having discussions about his motorcycle.

Tatsumi initially thought that people were judging him based on the appearance of his bike or himself.

But, in fact, they were just surprised that someone would come on a bike because most students came from Zone 2 and had access to public transportation.

Those from Zone 1 arrived with their private chauffeurs, so...

Arriving at the academy's parking lot, it was mostly empty, except for a few vehicles.

Tatsumi chose a spot at random and dismounted from his bike .

Suddenly, he felt a tap on his shoulder.

" Hello , Tats..."

With a reflex,  Tatsumi turned around and swiftly subdued the unknown person, taking him to the ground.

After Tatsumi had swiftly subdued the unknown person, the bodyguards who were standing nearby were initially surprised but quickly regained their composure.

They leaped onto Tatsumi, attempting to make him release the person he had pinned to the ground.

However, Tatsumi, despite appearing to be a mere student , was still an experienced assassin in his past life who worshipped the MECHA WAY !!!!

As the last bodyguard fell to the ground, Tatsumi spoke in a tone devoid of expression, "And when will the spectator come out?" He glanced at a tree nearby.

*CLAP CLAP*

"Wow!! You have excellent skills!! Become my bodyguard, Tatsumi. I can offer you a generous salary!" said Rick, who was hidden behind the tree, applauding Tatsumi for his performance with a malevolent smile.

"How many hours a day would I be working with you?" Tatsumi inquired, picking up the bodyguards one by one and placing them beside the tree where Rick stood.

"Umm... all day and night," replied Rick with a sly grin.

"No free time?" Tatsumi questioned further, his brow furrowing.

"No free time, but a good salary," responded Rick, his tone dripping with intrigue.

"Then you know the answer..." Tatsumi replied, a determined look in his eyes, as he strode toward the main hall where the director's speech was about to take place.

"Too bad! You could've been a good bodyguard!" Rick retorted with a mocking smile as Tatsumi and him  walked toward the main hall leaving the unconscious bodyguards behind.

A silence hung in the air between them. Following the directional signs, they reached an immense dome-like structure.

Inside, rows of chairs were neatly arranged, offering a clear view of the stage.

Tatsumi settled into the backmost row of seats, and Rick naturally sat beside him.

"What are you doing?" Tatsumi asked, slightly puzzled.

Rick flashed a friendly grin. "Hmm, well, I'm sitting next to my friend," he replied with an air of innocence, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Tatsumi looked at him, his expression speechless.

Based on what he had observed since his arrival, the front rows were occupied by the so-called "Noble Families" while the back rows were for the "Commoners."

And one of the most powerful "Noble Families" was seated beside him.

Tatsumi could already sense the problems looming on the horizon before he even began his school year.

All he wanted was to spend his year immersing himself in theories and absorbing the knowledge from the best professors in the city.

" Who is he ??? how dare he side beside Senior Rick ?! "

" Isn't he a commoner , why are you with a GAO ??? "

" Damm , tonight i will write a good BL on webnovel !!! HE HE HE  "

He sighed; the damage was already done. He could already feel the eyes of both factions turning toward him.

As Tatsumi was waiting for the principal to begin his speech, Rick nudged him gently and pointed with his finger, saying, "Eh, eh, isn't that your sister who is watching you?"

Tatsumi, not wanting to make eye contact with his 'sister,' replied with a nod and said, "First, it's impolite to point at someone, and second, yes, that's my sister."

Rick chuckled softly and replied, "My apologies for the manners lesson, but it seems your sister is quite eager to get your attention."

" .... "

"Not wanting to talk about family... okay, I can respect that. I also have family problems" Rick said with a sympathetic nod.

A few more minutes passed, and the room continued to fill up when suddenly, everything fell silent. An individual appeared in a casual attire and spoke into the microphone.

[ Welcome to the Hunter Academy, the first defense line of humanity. ]

[ Hope City, one of the five principal cities defending humanity. Twenty years ago, we were invaded by giant monsters. At that time, we were unprepared, but shortly after their invasion, we created weapons to defeat them. ]

[ The S.A.M.S, a technological marvel, was created to save humanity. And today, we stand here, still alive and victorious. But be aware, it's only temporary. The monsters will return, closer than ever before. That's why we've established academies like this one... TO TRAIN YOU!!! YOU ARE THE FUTURE!!! YOU ARE THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY!" ]

"Is it always the same speech... According to my sources, the director gives the same speech every year " Rick remarked.

[ But recently, I heard that two factions have emerged, a noble faction and a commoners faction... WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS??? Just because two types of people live in the city, does that mean we need to form two factions? I'm telling you, as long as I'm here, there will be no two factions ]

Having finished his statement, the director left the stage, and a teacher entered the room. [ I will now assign you to your respective classes ] the teacher announced.

"Finally..." Tatsumi muttered, clearly bored by the seemingly pointless speech.
