"Arghhh!"
A figure falls from the sky, two blades gilmmer in the afternoon sun. The figure penetrates the skin of the animal with their swords, killing it instantly.
Another figure followed behind, wielding a bow.
"Great kill Clem!"
The figure with the two short swords turned around. It was Clementine, Roman's little sister!
Clem wipes the blood off of her sword and then sheathes them. She then looks at the other person and smiles.
"You also helped me Anna. Since I knew you were near by watching me, I felt safe enough to go all out."
The person with the bow was Anna! She laughs shyly as she puts her bow down.
"Well, your brother asked me to watch over you. I'm glad to hear that you think I'm doing a good job at it."
Clem takes out a butchering knife and begins to cut up the animal she had killed. Anna watches over her as she begins to get losted in her own thought.
The two girls have been traveling in game for 2 days now. Anna had promised Roman that she would help Clem. She was following the plan that Roman had laid out already.
'Clem is surprisingly different from the last life. This Clem is a lot more talkative and more friendly.'
Anna couldn't help but chuckle at the stark difference. As she watches over her, Anna looks at her messages.
The first person that had sent her a message was her brother Dante. She had asked him to join them since the task that Roman gave her was rather difficult with just the two of them. Sadly, him and Jared had other plans already so the two wouldn't be able to meet for a few days.
*sigh*
'I hope just the two of us will be fine.'
Clem finished as Anna finishes her own thoughts. Clem calls out to her.
"I'm finished Anna. It's a good thing I learned this skill while we were still in the starting town."
Anna nods.
"It's useful since you can make more money if you butcher your own meat," she paused for a second and checks the surroundings, "Alright, let's go this way Clem. We aren't to far away.".
Anna goes in a certain direction and Clem follows behind.

Demon Contient
"Welcome home Prince Ark. Your long journey has finally brought you back home."
A demon sat on his throne as he spoke to Ark Van, Roman's master. The demon had one servant standing to his side, other than that, these four, including Ark's fairy partner, were the only ones inside the throne room.
"Thank you Your Majesty."
The old demon smiles. His once vibrant red hair had strands of gray hair. Despite his youthful smile, the demon's wrinkles and tired eyes showed his true age. He waves his hands as if to stop Ark.
"There's no need for that boy. I'm no longer the same Demon King you once knew."
Ark looked up at the demon king. His face showed a hint of discomfort, as if Ark didn't want to believe what he just heard.
The demon king laughed.
"HAHAHHAHA! What's with that look? Are you feeling bad for old demon king Nemu?"
Ark knew how powerful the demon king use to be. It was said that he could conquer all the continents if he truly wished. There were even rumors that he fought a god in his youth. Demon king Nemu frowned when Ark didn't say anything.
"Are you going to…"
Before he could finish, Ark spoke up.
"Yes, I will not change my mind."
Ark looked up at Demon king Nemu with a look of determination. Nemu sighs.
"I guess there's no helping it. Your family's regret and shame will not dissipate with the flow of time."
With the demon king's blessing, Ark gets up and prepares to leave. Before he could goes, the demon king spoke one last time.
"This will be our final meeting Prince Ark Van. I hope that your life will be easier from here on out. Please, go visit your family before I send them and the citizens of the Demon continent to the Western Kingdom of the Beast Continent."
Without turning around, Ark responds to Nemu.
"Thank you for everything. If it wasn't for your generousity, my people would had died. I'm sure my father and grandfather would of said the same thing."
Ark then leaves, not wanting to show demon king Nemu the saddness he felt at the thought of the king's end.

Somewhere on the Human Continent
Four figures stood in front of each other. The tension could be felt in the air. No one said anything and then in the next moment, three of the four figures disappeared. They began to clash.
On one side, two of the figures wore long dark cloaks that hid their bodies and hoodis that covered their face. On the other side, the other two wore colored masks. These two were Blue and Red. Blue was the one clashing with the hooded figures.
The three didn't use any weapons, only using hand to hand combat techniques.
The two hooded figures came at Blue. One of them aimed a kick to his side while the other aimed to break his leg. Blue saw this and countered it.
The two hooded figures were about 3 seconds behind each other when it came to their attack timing. That was more than enough for Blue.
Blue braces himself for impact and allowed for the kick to hit his side. The moment he felt it, he used all his strength and held onto the hooded figures' left leg. In the same instance, Blue used his free hand to block and then he kicked the other person's attack away.
The person who was aiming for Blue's legs didn't see the attack coming and was blown away. The other person Blue was holding onto saw this and tried to squirm free from him but Blue didn't let go.
Blue held on tightly and then using his free hand, punched the figure as hard as he could. The figure blew away as well, letting out a sharp scream. Blue held on so tightly that the leg was ripped right out of it's socket.
Red clapped and came forward.
"Your combat prowess are still as impressive as ever. You took care of it so quickly."
Blue doesn't say anything and just tosses the leg aside. The two were about to walk away when they saw someone walking towards them. It was one of the hooded figures! Specifically the one that had their leg torn off.
The missing leg was replaced with a skeleton leg, the flesh was slowly growing back as the figure slowly approached the two masked men. Red's mind went wild.
"Wait a minute?!? That's… the Dead Man's Codex?"
Red had found old books talking about the Codex. It was said that it was stolen by the demon king years ago. Then he thought of something. The other Codex that was stolen as well…
Before he could say anything, a cold voice echoed around them.
"God Slayer: Lightning Storm."
There it was! The other stolen Codex! The God Slayer's Codex! The other figure that Blue attacked revealed himself. The figure walked out of the woods, a pair of glowing purple eyes could be seen from inside the hood.
A small thunder storm was forming around him. The small clouds around him flashed purple every so often. While Red was in awe, he heard another man's voice.
"Dead Man's Ascension."
The other person that Red suspected of having the Dead Man's Codex made his move too. A skeleton rose from the ground and presented the hooded figure with a rusty old book.
Red's brain stopped working for a moment.
"That book?…"
Before the two hooded figures could attack them, Blue immediately grabbed Red and left.
"What are you doing!? We can take the Codexs from those guys! We'll be unstoppable!"
"No."
Red looked at Blue in confusion. In this relationship, Red had always considered himself to be the boss since Blue always did as he was told but this time, that wasn't the case.
Red was going to order Blue to take on the two hooded men but he then felt a strong killing intent coming from him. Red swallowed his own words.
As frustrated as he was, he decided not to voice it. He could only hope that he could come across those two Codexs once more.

In the Real World
"Okay! I promise! I'll get some rest!"
Roman closes his door and locks it. He had just finished a meal with his parents.
"Time to get back on. Hopefully nothing to crazy happened while I was offline."
