Rhea felt a whirlwind of emotions after the indirect kiss she had exchanged with Draven. But just as she was lost in her thoughts, the other shadow stalkers who had departed earlier began to make their way back. Gradually, they started encircling the pond once more.
Rhea continued to gaze at Draven with wide eyes, but he wasn't interested in trying to understand what she was thinking. He shifted his gaze to the water's surface, his eyes filled with coldness. However, his expression turned into a frown when he noticed the creatures lurking above, their menacing eyes locked onto the pond.
Draven's face grew darker. The shadow stalkers had returned due to Rhea's act of killing one of them; the scent of their partner could not escape their extraordinarily acute sense of smell.
Draven slightly shook Rhea back to the present, "Listen, you can now go up to breathe if you still want to." Those words echoed in her mind, but when she glanced up, her face blanched.
