Half of the day have only passed but, there are already a lot of heartaches. Garen already had two attacks for the day. His bracelet beeps at the alarm of his rapid pulse. The repeated sound was quite annoying as it flashes a red light everytime. Garen removed the bracelet and placed it down in a wireless charger provided by the verse.
Garen took a deep breath, sat down on the floor and rested his back on the footboard of his bed. He admits that he looks stupid right now. He is usually witty and quite smart but, he can't help anything that concerns with Liliane. Garen sighed, trying to maintain his pheromones. Now that Liliane's at the room across him, he can't be careless.
With the thought of Liliane being near, he can't help but sense a faint sweet smell lingering in the air. The hall he passed by was filled with the traces of sweet flora and citrus scent of Liliane's pheromone. How dare he breath in there, now that he knows she actually loath him so. How thick-face it is to seek comfort from her familiar scent. Remembering that event earlier, he felt his chest tightening once more. Liliane had a picture of the both of them as a child.
Garen breathed deep once, twice, thrice, until he maybe gathered enough oxygen to run a hopeful thought in his head. Even though he is in a state of unstability, he still was witty after all. He perhaps just needs to calm down, regain his poise and think. Surely, there is a reason why Liliane kept a picture of them together.
"She would've burn it if she hate me." He murmured
Good job Garen! You went past from being hysterical to actually calming yourelf and think of something important.
It must've been extremely overwhelming to have to breath in the same air she breathes, to see those eyes that once reflected his image so beautifully, to finally have her so close---
But think, why did she declare her abosolute hatred towards him but, contradict that statement by keeping a remembrance of the past.
"If only, she would..." She would grant the chance to talk to each other.
He understands that it was Liliane's right to decide not to have a connection with him after their past. To have the strings that once connected them cut.
But, seeing the state Liliane became after what he has done... He want to fix everything. He doesn't want the past to relive but, he simply want to give just, the love, the respect, and the truth that she deserves.
If only he could simply skin himself and reveal his true thoughts about her, show it to her, make her see the actual truth of his endless adorations of her. But, he also knew that suddenly forcing everything to her at once would just be plain selfishness.
"How can I show you Lili..."
Just as he was trying to think of something, he heard their entry door beeped and a series of knocking sounds were heard from the hallway. He went out from his room and opened the door to see a familiar face.
"Dang... your eyes are red." Says the familiar girl, looking at him with a judgeful gaze.
"I'm here to see Liane." She says.
Short black hair and hazel eyes. Garen remembers now. It is Liliane's friend who was also a classmate of them back in primary, Ziel Azuri. Also quite a character.
"She's in her room." Garen replied and the Girl didn't even wait be welcomed inside, marched right inside.
"I don't care if you're a Dominant Alpha or what. Stay away from Liane, Garen Rine."
Liliane hurried to open her room when she heard Ziel's voice. The two rushed to enter Liliane's room and locked it.
Garen locked the entry way and went back to his own room.
The two girl sat on the bed in whatever comfortable position they want.
"Girl, Why the heck is he here???" Ziel asked with widen eyes.
"He's my mate." Liliane replied.
"You better go to the system and ask them to move you. My space has another room that is currently unoccupied. You could stay there in stead of having to live with that jerk." Ziel says.
Liliane shook her head, telling that there is no need for trouble.
"He's already repented. He won't dare touch me." Liliane says.
"I don't care if he repented or not. He hurted you already. What if he harms you like before?!?" Ziel reminded her and Liliane understood Ziel's concern and worry.
A horrid sight flickers in Liliane's memory. She still remembers everything so vividly. The shivering cold sensatiom from being soaked, the stinging pain from her bruised arm, and the stabbing pain of sadness in her heart as Garen's words have been engraved to be a scar.
"I've already learn of what caring too much for him would lead to. And it's already done so, I'll just go along with the system for now." Liliane says as her fingers run to the cold metal on her neck.
Ziel sighed deeply with exasperation.
"Liane, we're both smart but, also stupid." Ziel says.
Liliane simply smiled as she says, "I hate him".
Ziel sighed for the last time.
"I came here to help you with fixing your stuffs. Let's just do it." Ziel says as she stood up and grabbed one of the many boxes that was placed all over the floor.
The two unloaded Liliane's luggages then, started to fix and organize everything in the room.
Garen on the other hand, was quite curious to their interaction. Sadly to his part, the walls were thick and his very own wall added as a barrier after Liliane's.
For now, he clings to the hope that Liliane still cares for their past.
Holding on to it as he's very last chance to make everything right. He plans to be bold this time but, still make sure to be careful and not hurt Liliane in any way, any more.
He knows he's been warned earlier to not get close to her but, he simply can't comply to that. He doesn't know if it was his boldness being re-ignited after all these years he's been humble, all he knows is that he longed for the girl and now that she's right in front of him, he wishes to be able to stand beside her, and he is ready to do anything to do so.
He knows well that he is undeserving to desire for her and that's exactly why he knows that he needs to earn her forgiveness.
Seeing Hope, Garen smiles.
"Let's patiently persuade her, Garen."
