Even though the sun had risen a couple of minutes ago, the morning was still cold. When Isla realized the freezing temperature, she curled her body even more.

Isla blinked her eyes open. Her alert body instantly jolted awake like someone had pushed an on button on her back.
She realized she was in Ava's burial when she opened her eyes but was immediately wary when she saw two other people inside beside Adam.
There were two men and a young woman looking at her with horror and worry in their eyes.
