Cradled in his lap lay the emaciated little cat, Dorothy, whom he had just reclaimed. Yet, her feeble cries had ceased, leaving behind a haunting silence that pierced his heart.

She was the only thing he had left.
"Why are you wandering so far this time...? Why can't you be more careful...?"
Seated in the somber confines of the dark alley, Sebastian clung tightly to the lifeless form of the small cat, her diminishing warmth slipping away from his grasp.
