Ava bowed her head slightly, and her blonde hair reflected the sunlight like the glimmering snow of the frozen north. "General Croix. Your sister mentioned you several times. I'm glad we've finally met."
"Princess Ava Cassia... or rather... Empress," Ernacht bowed back, looking at the beautiful woman before him.
"I thank your family for your invaluable service," the woman said.
"That is such a weird thing to say to a being like me," the creature's voice sounded like a human's, yet deep and somewhat distant at the same time, like an echo.
