Chapter 7 - Beta's Daughter

"If you know what's best for you, I'd suggest that you stay away from Jaxson." She hissed; faster than she could blink I had her up against the wall by her throat.

"Try that with me again, I dare you." I growled lowly.

"Y-you c-can't touch m-me l-like this." She chocked out "I'm the soon-to-be Alpha female."

I scoffed "Really now, you're Jaxson's mate?" I questioned.

"Y-yes!" She said trying to pry my hand off her neck.

"Tsk, tsk, I highly doubt that. If you were his mate, you would've been able to calm him down. You couldn't do it a few moments ago and you couldn't do it this morning at the coffee shop." I said "You're nothing but another lone-wolf in a school that's full of them."

"I'm the Beta's daughter!" She stated.

"Yet, you still rank lower than me. I'm an Alpha's daughter. So, like I said, pull that show again and next time you won't be spared like you are right now. I promise you, I will rip you apart." I said releasing my hold letting her fall to the ground. I stepped over her grabbing my bag off the table. "Oh and you can have Jaxson. I don't want him." Lies, lies, lies!

I walked out of the lunch room with my head held high. I couldn't begin to describe how good I felt doing that. It was a lot less than what my wolf would have wanted to do, but, it would suffice. I walked off into the bathroom and washed the mess out of my hair before I wandered down the few hallways until I found my creative writing class. I walked through the open door and stopped dead in my tracks. Sitting at the back of the class is non other than Jaxson himself. Ugh, is he seriously in all of my classes? Someone must really not like me at all.

"There you are!" Kayden sighed in relief as he walked in the class. "You bolted out there so fast we didn't even know until that girl started cooking up a storm."

"Ah, yeah, sorry." I said taking a seat in the second last row near the window. "Where's Max?" I asked.

"He's helping out with the girls. They were about to go all up on that chick when she started talking about you." He answered.

"It's the first day and we already got drama." I sighed taking out a notebook and pen.

"So, how's everything?" He whispered so only I was able to hear him.

"Everything is....fine." I replied "I'll be fine." I said more for myself than him.

"You know, you can talk to us right?" He said.

"Yes, I know, and I love you guys for that, but, there's just nothing to talk about." I said.

"What happened, has happened. Nothing can or is going to change that."

"Phew, those girls are something I tell y'all." Max said walking into the room wiping the fake sweat from his forehead.

"They didn't do anything drastic, did they?" I asked.

"They would've if wanna be plastic barbie didn't shut her trap." He said "After her rant about you, she started on Ava and Kylee. I was tempted to let Lee go so she could beat her black and blue."

"I'm glad you didn't, I don't want them getting into trouble over a girl who doesn't like me." I said sincerely.

"Try telling that to them." He said sitting at the desk behind me "If you do, I can guarantee you'll get a whole speech about how they'll always have your back no matter what and a bunch of other BFF stuff."

"Don't go hating in the BFF code before we boot you out." I playfully warned him.

"You wouldn't do that, you love me too much to boot me out." He grinned.

"Whatever you say!" I shrugged turning to face the front of the class.

The bell rang and students began to file in followed by the teacher. Class went on without us having to do any kind of work. The teacher--Ms. Warner--Just went on and on about what we would be doing through the year. I was pretty sure that just like me, most of the class tuned her out as soon as she started talking. Class finished at the sound of the bell and I couldn't wait to get to our last class. D&O tactics and training was always my favorite class.

I broke away from the boys once we reached the locker rooms. I found Ava and Lee already in the process of getting changed. I smiled at them and got changed myself. our school didn't have the whole "school required uniforms" thing which was a plus. It seemed like all the girls had the same kind of outfit-- tank top and workout short shorts. Ava, Lee and I opted for sport bras instead of tank tops though. We knew this class could get really crazy and messy. When I mean messy, I mean sweating a bucket full of water which is something that was bound to happen. Wearing any type of tank top while sweating is not at all comfortable.

" You guys shouldn't have gotten involved with that girl." I said as we all walked arm-in-arm into the gym.

"We weren't going to do anything. But, when she started running her mouth to us, that was a different story. If it wasn't for Nolan and Max, that girl would've been six feet under and would never see another day." Lee said seriously.

"Well, hopefully no one else gets on your bad side while we're stuck here." I said and we laughed.

These girls really were something else as Max had said. They were always getting into some sort of mischief back at home; especially with other girls. They like hardly get along with girls, even from our own pack. They say having too much "girl friends" is a disaster waiting to happen; too much drama. As much as I hate to say it but they were usually right. We stood off to the side just like a bunch of other students. The guys soon joined us later, the teach has yet to show its face. The six of us talked while we waited.
