"Officers... What crime did my daughter commit?" Mei Lu's throat immediately turned dry, she tried to soothe her throat with her saliva, but it wasn't working.
Her back had chilled and lightly shivered to hear their statement, what did she do wrong to result in her being arrested so openly like this?
"Fraud, embezzlement.... And many more other charges, she will be aligned in court on Monday...." One of the officers got the arrest warrant and showed her, they weren't there illegally nor were they trying to trespass.
The other officer caught her and immediately handcuffed her hands.
"Officers I didn't do anything! You are being unjust! This is all wrong!" She screamed out in fright when those cold metallic handcuffs got aligned on her wrist sending shivers.
Her entire body trembled in disbelief, why did it get here... What did she do wrong? They had made perfect preparations prior, what was happening now?
