His pink hair glistened under the sun. Without thinking much I reach out and start to play with it. I look upwards towards the sky as I zone out, a calming azure color filled with clouds of all shapes and sizes. Since today is the weekend, Nico proposed we should go on a picnic. A small bird flies by and I turn to look towards it only to see him laying by my side in the grass. I shift to my side and keep playing with his hair.
"... so soft." A tiny whisper accidentally scapes my lips.
"What?" His eyes flutter open and I unwillingly withdraw my hand slowly as I admire his beauty under the sun.
His dark, obsidian eyes stare back at me while I take in all the minor details of his face. His pink tinted lips that are illuminated by the sun, his freckles that look like constellations, his delicately arched eyebrows, his various piercings that seem to follow the natural curve of his ears as well as the newly pierced addition to his collection — the one on his lip. I reach out and rub his lips as I answer him.
"I said, so lucky."
My voice sounds as monotone as usual when I respond. I stare at him straight in the eyes, his magnificent eyes that make me want to lose myself in them. His ears start to redden while he gives me a questioning look as he waits for me to elaborate.
"I meant you're lucky that you're a natural blond, or else your hair would've fallen out long ago with how much bleach you'd have to use. As well as the amount of hair dye you normally use." He huffs and puffs as he gets up while grumbling about how mean I am. His cheeks puff out like a jellyfish as his ears get even more red from exasperation. Without a second to waste, I let my intrusive thoughts win and proceed to poke his cheek.
His incredulous expression leads me to form a small smirk as I relish in the glory that is the art of teasing him.
Oh, how I love him — I mean how I love to tease him.
