Chapter 1 - Toby (Trailer)

Two men are shown inside an abandoned warehouse where a few shipping containers are seen. One of the two men wears a gray beanie over his black hair and wears a beige shirt beneath a gray parka, blue jeans and brown shoes. He's currently seen leaning against one of the containers with what appears to be a metal baseball bat over his shoulder as he listens to his friend boasting about their recent success as he paces about, cape flowing freely. The friend is a few inches taller, has auburn hair and green eyes under dark sunglasses. He wears a silver turtleneck beneath a crimson blazer, a royal blue cape with gold rings along the edges and white gloves. Around his waist is a belt which holds a pair of holsters for knives on each side and beneath that, he wears black pants that match his shoes and strangely enough, he has an orange tail with white tip - like that of a fox.

"It has been in my interest that we're being so good at this each passing day. Being easily able to slip out of the long arms of law, am I right, Gideon?" gloats the caped guy with a triumphant laugh. Said friend nods in agreement while chuckling.

These two guys you're seeing here are the more than average criminals. Their occupation varies from robbery to smuggling to arms dealing to kidnapping down to downright terrorism.

"And speaking of which, he's supposed to be here by now."

Suddenly, the door to the warehouse swings open, catching their attention. Stepping inside is a man in his early 30s, wearing a black Sombrero Cordobés on his head which sports a neatly trimmed beard that frames his face. He wears black trenchcoat, a belt which holds a chain whip on one side and a pistol on the other, black gloves, black pants and black leather boots. Flanking his sides are a pair of tall humanoid beings made of shadow with yellow eyes.

"And he has arrived. Thank you for your patience, John," says the visitor.

"Omar! It's so good to see you. We almost thought you forgot about us," the guy now identified as John says in a cheery tone.

"The feeling's mutual. What of the package?"

John spreads his arms wide, "Already prepared and sedated. Men, women, children, humans and faunus alike to be accounted for."

Gideon tapped the container he was leaning against for emphasis.

Oh yes, and did I forget trafficking as one of them? Must have slipped my mind since it seems to be what they're currently doing.

Omar then smiles evilly, "Good. By morning, They'll be in the market being sold to the highest bidders while we receive the fruits of our labor."

Then suddenly, a cyan hardlight blade juts out of the container where Gideon was, just next to his head, causing him to yelp in fright as he backs away towards the others who watch as the blade continues to cut a hexagon shape which is then knocked off its position.

Then stepping out of the hexagon shaped hole into the open is a mysterious person but judging from the tall athletic build, is a male. From down upwards, he wears a pair of dark silver combat boots with red accents, black jeans with three red tiger stripes beside the thighs, silver belt, black long sleeved shirt with a red falcon logo on the chest beneath a red open sleeveless jacket with metallic shoulder pads. On his forearms are a pair of red metallic armored vambraces, accompanied with black fingerless gloves. And finally with a red hood over his head, he wears a tactical mask with red LED lenses.

When he looks at them, he says, "I don't think that's happening anytime soon."

"I don't remember seeing this guy," says John who is surprised

"I don't care. Eliminate him."

He signals his shadow clones to join John and Gideon as the masked guy flexes his fingers into fists while walking towards them ominously

John draws out a pair of knives which extend by the blades, making them longer, "I don't know who you are, punk. But you just barked up the wrong tree."

Gideon then bends the handle of his bat as his weapon converts into a shotgun which he cocks, prepared to fire at the vigilante.

The latter's strides then becomes a sprint as Gideon fires rounds at him which he blocks with his vambraces. He decides to go for the shadow clones as they charge towards him. The first clone starts to engage him in a fistfight by sending a series of attacks which he blocks. After leaning back to avoid a swing, the assailant then overpowers him with a few well placed jabs, punches and a roundhouse kick that disintegrated the clone. Using the momentum of the kick, he activates his vambraces, having the panel above his wrist open slightly allowing a pair of long cyan hardlight blades from earlier extend to the front. He spins and uses one blade to decapitate the second clone and spartan kicks the body towards Gideon, knocking him down.

The masked guy quickly turns to block a short sword from John as they both get locked in a heated combat. Both of them perform acrobatic feats, dodging the other's attacks while simultaneously clashing blades, steel meeting hardlight and each clash emitting sparks as neither seem to show signs of fatigue. They continue to dance around each other until they finally meet in a blade lock, each trying to knock the other off balance. While this happens, Gideon runs behind the hooded guy with his baseball bat at the ready but just as he takes a swing, the hooded guy disengages to roll away, narrowly avoiding the swing that instead hits John, the force sending him crashing back a few feet.

The masked guy quickly rolls into his feet, retracting his blades as Gideon swings at him again. The former dodges the first two swings from his attacker and catches the third swing with his left hand. He then punches Gideon square in the face, making him lose his grip on his weapon. The hooded guy then converts the bat in shotgun mode, locks and loads, and heaves it down on Gideon's head. After this, he throws the weapon into the air, punches his opponent to the face, followed by a knife chop. He then does a spin and bashes him in the head from behind with his elbow, his left vambraces side panel then opens with a barrel protruding out and shoots Gideon in the back with the wrist-mounted assault rifle, and then moving to the front, gut punches him and shoots him again with continuous rounds. He then grabs the shotgun as it falls from the air, slings it over his shoulder, and shoots John who had just gotten up, in the head. The two partners already down unconscious.

Omar watches as the assailant cocks the gun by spinning it.

Omar sighs, "Never leave faunus to do a human's job."

He then brings out his whip, cracking it once and just as the vigilante points the shotgun, Omar sends the bladed tip, knocking the gun off his opponent's hand, only for the latter to then use his still activated wrist mounted machine gun to open fire at him. Omar then spins his whip around him, blocking and deflecting the incoming bullets as he whips out his pistol, returning fire. The masked Vigilante ceases fire to block the bullets with his right vambrace. Omar uses this distraction to wrap the chain whip around his opponent's arm and use his strength to send him flying towards one of the steel pillars. Fortunately, the latter flips midair in a way that his feet meet the beam as he uses the momentum to spring with full force from the pillar, spinning midair as he activates his hardlight blades, descending towards the dark clad smuggler. Omar's hands suddenly engulf in black energy and he steps back, leaving a newly created shadow clone in his previous spot to take the attack as it gets shredded and dissipates as fast as it was created. Omar then tries to score several hits on his assailant, only for him to dodge all of them until he gradually cuts the long range weapon bit by bit.

Once again, Omar's hands engulf in the same black energy as he creates more shadow clones that then attack the masked guy who does a good job of cutting them down one by one. After hacking off a head, he spins to skewer the last two with both of his blades. Unfortunately, he's unable to evade a powerful punch in the gut sent by Omar, sending him sliding along the floor but he then uses the momentum to roll backwards to do a back handspring back to his feet. Omar points his pistol at him and pulls the trigger only to make a click sound, indicating it was out of ammos. Growling, he holsters his pistol and gets to a fighting stance as black energy engulfs his forearms.

"Come on and fight me like a man," Omar growls.

"With pleasure."

With an equally strong gesture, arcs and currents of red electricity run along his forearms as they both charge towards each other. Their fists then collide, sending a shockwave all over the foundation but neither seem to care as they start trading blows, blocking the other's attacks. Seemingly, Omar doesn't fight on his own and it's not surprising. He only depends on his clones to fight his battles and thus the battle he's fighting right now will soon be a losing one. So he sends a shadow punch to the hooded guy, only for the latter to parry the attack and then counterattack with a palm strike to the ribs, blasting him with a powerful bolt of red lightning which sent him crashing into one of the containers, causing a dent as Omar's limp form dropped to the ground.

The masked guy then looks around his surroundings as he exhales, "At least this place is still standing unlike the last one."

He walks towards the open doors, zapping John who was waking up without looking on the way out. Once outside, he takes off his mask and then drops his hood, revealing the facial features of a teenage boy. He's dark skinned, has brown eyes and has a black hair in a faded buzzcut. He then turns to the camera, grinning as his eyes flash red with electricity for a split second.
