Chapter 13 - Gun shop

Sally's surprise reaction was obviously because of the word "friend".

Growing up lonely all her life and often bullied, she entered Saint Crown High School, an aristocratic school, but was despised by almost all the students and was nicknamed "unlucky Sally".

Friends, for Sally, were a luxury.

Who would have thought that on her first day of school, she would make a new friend, her only friend.

Although this friend was strictly speaking her schoolmate.

Judging from their first encounter and the thrilling scene just now, it did not look like the relationship between a school sister and a schoolmate at all. Sally was the one who needed absolute protection.

Today's experience was something Sally had never felt in her more than ten years.

Even now, she still felt like she was floating in mid-air, unable to land firmly. Her excitement and joy were hidden very well.

If possible, she even hoped to continue like this. This was the biggest highlight she had experienced in her dreary and miserable life.

Unfortunately, before she could feel it for a few more seconds, a rude, hoarse voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Sally, is that you?"

"What are you doing out so late? Get home right now."

The voice came from the second floor, very characteristic, accompanied by the sound of "dada" walking on a wooden floor, giving the impression of a fat woman with a gloomy face walking over.

Sally was startled, then quickly reacted, yelling first: "Mom, it's me, I'll be right up."

After shouting, she anxiously said to Tang Qi: "Go across the street and down Central Avenue, you'll see the bus stop. Don't linger here for too long, there are many dangers."

"I'm home, see you tomorrow."

As if worried that her mother would look out the window and see Tang Qi downstairs, Sally left without waiting for a response. She deliberately made a stomping sound as she went up the stairs with her key in hand.

Sally's abrupt goodbye made Tang Qi shake his head, but he did not say anything. He followed Sally's directions and headed to the stop.

Although he now had attack skills like [Cha-Ka Fighting Technique], this did not conceal the fact that Tang Qi was still a physically weak high school student. If he encountered unarmed thugs, he could cope.

But if what he encountered was those vicious gangs, Tang Qi would be in trouble.

To avoid becoming a corpse on the street, Tang Qi had to leave quickly.

However, just as he turned around, an extremely strange feeling suddenly emerged, and the hair on his arms immediately stood on end.

"Hmm?"

"Being spied on? Being stared at?"

Tang Qi turned around in surprise and looked to the other end.

There, it was the way Tang Qi and Sally had come.

But after looking over, apart from the swaying street lights, the deserted streets, and the darkness that could not be illuminated by the lights, nothing else could be seen.

Staring at the special interface, Tang Qi did not find anything wrong.

And the strange feeling of being watched disappeared at this moment.

Tang Qi was stunned for a moment, then turned around without hesitation and left.

A few steps later, Tang Qi unconsciously used the skills of fighting techniques, like an agile cheetah, silently and swiftly walking through several streets. He arrived at a bus stop on Central Avenue.

The lights from several late-night buses that appeared at the same time made Tang Qi breathe a slight sigh of relief.

After distinguishing the many destinations corresponding to the buses at the stop, Tang Qi quickly chose one and got on without waiting for the fare collector to open his mouth. He took out six copper coins first and handed them to the fare collector, saying: "Central Avenue!"

Copper coins were the most basic currency of the Eagle Union Federation. A child was called a wheeler, one hundred wheelers equaled one silver coin narl, and then came the Eagle gold coin, called Shen'en, obviously this name was also a remnant of the church.

Of course, gold coins could not be made entirely of gold, but a mix of a little gold and other alloys.

Tang Qi sold his inheritance and got a lot of Eagle gold coins.

Compared to other peers, Tang Qi was a super rich man.

Tang Qi's original idea was to go to several destinations he had already planned on weekends to buy what he wanted.

But after his recent experience, he changed his mind.

As night fell, the bus sped up quickly. In just a few minutes, the bus left Bronk District with a "chiseling" sound. Tang Qi arrived at his destination.

When he got off the bus, what Tang Qi saw was a wide avenue.

Intersecting streets appeared everywhere, bright street lights everywhere, flashing neon signs, modern high-rises, beautiful streets, and a dazzling array of shops.

If it weren't for the hazy purple moon hanging in the sky, this scene would almost make Tang Qi think he was back home.

"Huh"

Taking a long breath, calming his mind, Tang Qi did not linger in the prosperity of another world, but oriented himself and plunged into a street that did not look prosperous.

Compared to other streets, the lights here were colder and there were fewer shops.

But everything in each store was very similar.

Weapons!

To be more precise, guns.

Here was Gun Street in Maysville.

Although the "gun control wave" kept rising in the Eagle Union Federation, even some more open-minded states made little progress, let alone dead conservatives like Phoenix State.

The folk customs here were brave, not just talk. Steel and industry were the mainstream.

If not, Tang Qi's original parents would not have chosen to establish a steel company in Maysville.

At this time, Tang Qi was like a curious high school student, walking past gun shops one by one, fascinated by the various guns inside.

However, he only looked outside and did not enter any store.

Not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't.

Although gun control was unrealistic in the Eagle Union Federation, all federal residents supported the requirement that no one under the age of 18 could carry guns.

So, although Tang Qi wanted and needed a gun very much.

But the age of this body restricted this point.

Tang Qi's parents' inheritance must have included guns, they just didn't appear in Tang Qi's memory. Obviously, after the accident, they were confiscated directly by the Maysville city government.

Knowing this, Tang Qi still came here.

The reason was simple. Although he could not directly defy that rule, there were ways around it.

For example, now Tang Qi's figure suddenly stopped at the door of a rather special gun shop.

"Dinglingling"

Tang Qi pushed open the door and looked up to see bulletproof glass cabinets in the center and on both sides of the store, containing various guns, from pistols to assault rifles, everything imaginable, with a few customers walking slowly, seemingly choosing.

"Welcome...child, this is not the place you should come. You are definitely not old enough to carry a gun. Go home."

A brawny white shopkeeper came over, about to welcome Tang Qi, but changed his words when he saw him.

The few customers choosing also saw Tang Qi. One very fat black man laughed directly: "Hey, Rich, don't be so cold. This kid probably just wants to feel the charm of guns firsthand. Look at this perfect shape, this irresistible touch, oh, she's more charming than my wife."

The fat black man stroked an exaggerated black pistol in his hand while speaking in a creepy tone.

The other customers all showed smiles.

The brawny white shopkeeper was also amused. He turned back and mocked, "Wake up, Freeman, your wife ran off with the soap salesman long ago. Either take your disgusting fat paw off or buy that black Hawk back home for me. She may not be able to replace your wife, but next time a soap salesman comes knocking, you can blow him away with one shot. "

"Hahaha..."

The pain of others is one's own joy. The customers in the store all burst out laughing.

In the laughter, the shopkeeper turned back, his solemn face had eased, but the decision had not changed. He still refused: "Listen, child, until you reach the age of 18, here and Scarlet Street are places you cannot come. Go home. "

Hearing that he was regarded as a thrill-seeking teenager, Tang Qi was not angry or embarrassed with a red face to argue.

He just smiled "shyly", did not look at those cold guns in the bulletproof glass cabinets, but pointed to the old and shabby guns of all kinds on the four walls.

"Uncle, you misunderstood. I didn't come to buy guns. I came to buy a birthday present for my father."

"He likes those things."

Tang Qi said sincerely.
