Isabella couldn't get Alejandro out of her head. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw his handsome face and felt her heart skip a beat. But she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
After their first date, Alejandro had been distant, canceling their plans and making excuses for why he couldn't see her. Isabella tried to brush it off, thinking that maybe he was just busy with work or family.
But one night, as she was walking home from the art gallery, she saw Alejandro in a café, holding hands with another woman. Her heart sank, and she felt like her world was crashing down around her.
She approached him, and he looked at her with a guilty expression. "Isabella, I can explain," he said, his voice shaking.
But before he could say anything else, Isabella interrupted him. "Save it. I don't want to hear it," she said, turning on her heel and walking away.
She spent the next few days in a daze, trying to make sense of what had happened. She couldn't understand why he would lead her on like that, only to cheat on her with someone else.
One day, she received a letter in the mail, and her heart skipped a beat when she saw that it was from Alejandro. She hesitated for a moment before opening it, not sure if she was ready to hear what he had to say.
But as she read the words he had written, tears streamed down her face. He confessed that he had been in a relationship with the other woman for years, but that he had never felt the way he did with Isabella.
He begged for her forgiveness and promised to end things with the other woman if she would give him another chance.
Isabella didn't know what to do. Part of her wanted to believe him, to give him another chance and see where things could go. But another part of her was afraid to open her heart again, afraid to be hurt once more.
As she held the letter in her hands, she knew that she had
a decision to make.
