I'm at the circus. I'm standing in front of the circus. All the way here, I couldn't stop thinking about the things Lady Isis had said. According to Dera and the girls, rumors say the king has never brought any woman to The Reign before. Even though I know that is clearly a lie because Angelina upstairs is living proof of that fact.
Does that mean that before me or Angelina, other Ladies had been taken to The Reign before? If yes, what happened to those Ladies? What happened to them? What did Leonis do to them?
Does he maybe kill every woman he takes to The Reign? Is Angelina the next to die? Hell, am I the next to die? Does being in The Reign with him mean I'm the next to die?? Is that why he's being very nice to me?
These terrifying thoughts kept going round my head and I could feel myself trembling with fear. So much fear that I didn't realize when we reached the circus until the driver notified me.
