"It is as we guessed, they say there is a shield restricting them from going into Almawt. They are trying everything they can to destroy the shield but it's proving futile."
If I'm right then it's Gordon who cast the shield over Almawt. I don't need to be there to know that he must have gotten more powerful over the years. Even then, he was sealed with much difficulty because he was too powerful.
