He laughs, "Although you are powerful, you are not the higher power I'm talking about." He says and I let out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding.
"This higher power is locked up in a place by Lucarus Rein. Leonis' father. He was even worse than his son. In his time, he was a greedy, selfish and wicked man who did any and everything to gain more power. He could never stand the thought of being weaker than anyone so he made sure to eradicate any higher power that threatened his own."
"And this included the one you speak of?"
"Yes. But his power was so strong that Lucarus could not kill him, so instead he locked him up with blood magic. But his selfishness also cost him his life that day. He died creating the seal that day just so he could lock up the power greater than his own."
For a while after his words, I just stay silent, blankly staring at the floor. Trying to process everything I just heard.
"That is sick." I finally say.
