Even the memory of Isla's display of overwhelming power had faded, replaced only by a vague impression of two women and the Fox Bead—something his mind couldn't fully erase, even under Isla's formidable manipulation of reality.
It was as if his it had been embedded in his mind forever, it was Isla's intentions for him to even forget the existence of the Fox Bead, this one particular part wasn't possible, she had failed at least here!
