The Bhalot tribe had a peculiar tradition of indulging in stored food and consuming copious amounts of fermented tudsa wine the night before battle. The crimson liquor, made from forest berries, was thick and sweet, leaving them intoxicated and filled with a sense of invincibility. Thanks to San, however, their confidence was now justified.

Laughter resounded through the falls, but San didn't linger to hear it. She slipped away unnoticed amidst their revelry, having cleaned herself up after her duties. Disappearing into the depths of the forest, she escaped without catching anyone's attention. Even the usual perimeter guards were invited to the feast, leaving no one to witness her departure.

The winter moon hung full and high overhead, signaling the imminent arrival of more rain—a common occurrence during the rainy season. Thunder and heavy clouds wouldn't dampen the spirits of the celebrating warriors tonight; if anything, they would only provide cover for San as she made her way.
