Matt pushed the door opened slightly and walked in. his eyes went around the room and he found his friend's form slumped on the couch near the window. Matt's heart broke seeing his friend like this. He sighed. He walked over to Eder.
"Eder" he whispered softly but got no reply. Matt touched his shoulder and shook him a bit "Eder!" he called more firmly.
"go away Matt" Eder replied with a tired sigh.
"you can't stay like this, Eder. You will soon be a king"
"a king.." Eder scoffed. "what is the use of a king, if he couldn't even… save his queen?" he replied tightening his hold on the dress. Matt looked away and rubbed his forehead, trying to hide his sad expression. He then crouched down before his friend and spoke.
"Eder! You won't gain anything like this. Didn't you come here with the intention of avenging her? What is happening to your will? The coronation is in a few hours. You should start getting ready."
