I sat down on the bench watching as Elaine left. Her form soaked in sweat as she picked up her belongings.
It was not long after that that she opened the door and left.
I didn't even bother to say more than a goodbye, as by the time that she had left we had already gotten to know each other quite well.
I collapsed into the bench near the house and found myself wishing that I could stand and walk a bit more.
The shower was close but I was still recovering my stamina.
I was drenched in sweat and so was she. I had offered her the shower that the place had but she declined and just left.
Though not before handing me the same type of card that Nia had. It was one for communication.
Apparently she wanted to work together on the second floor of the tower.
I didn't actually know how long it would be until the next tutorial but she had said that she would contact me when she was ready.
And I didn't really feel it in me to decline.
It would be a nice few weeks off, there really was no need for me to rush jn to hastily.
Only now was I recognizing what proper training could do for me.
Just in the hours that I had sparred with her I found myself becoming more mad, more precise in my swings and accuracy.
I swiped my hand in the air, mentally summoning my status screen.

I sighed as I smiled up into the sky. Even in the tutorial I hadn't seen this insane growth.
Though I couldn't tell if it was from the spar or not but the increase in my skills were tremendous.
All of them were above 20% and I could feel the difference.
My mana responded with much more alertness and I no longer needed to close my eyes to activate my magic circuits.
It truly was insane growth as just the other day they were in the low tens and even lower than that.
Even if they didn't increase any more than they did now it would still be a win.
Enough of one that I could wait a couple of weeks to start my next challenge.
There was no rush.
I still needed to create armor for myself.
I had already learned why I needed some it was just that I didn't have the time nor resources to make them.
But now that I did I wouldn't waste the opportunity.
Yet it comes to another question. Right now I am an agility fighter.
One that tried to end the fight as quickly as possible.
But did I want to be that?
I thought for a moment before nodding to myself.
It was the style I had created in order to survive and I would stick to it and see where it goes.
As for armor, I needed something for my chest and limbs.
It would have to be quite light though. Enough that it didn't hinder my mobility.
So what would be good material for my armor?
That was the question.
Again I nodded to myself before grabbing my sword and…
"Ow-" I groaned, a light jolt breaking me from my thoughts.
I looked down and for a moment could almost hear the pout coming from my sword.
"Ow-" again I was shocked.
Was… was she mad that I called her just a sword.
I mean instinctually I had known that her name was En but still.
I didn't think she had that much of an ego.
"Ok…" I snorted, "En, let's go find some materials."
…
I was out in the market. It was quite lively here.
Though most of it was just food or items.
There weren't many raw materials that I could find around here.
Of course there were some items I was interested in but more for study than anything.
Some were artifacts that could allow one to temporarily fly, others defensive items that gave resistances to certain elements and others were ones that just had seemingly random effects.
"Hey," I called out, gathering the attention of the tire owner.
"How much for that cloak?" It wasn't much, a simple small fire resistance but it was the runes seen into it that were of my interest.
"Not much, a mere 100 points. The effect'll die of in a couple of good attacks."
I reached into my pocket and tried to grab at a coin for some reason but found nothing.
Sheepishly I looked up.
"Ah… how do I transfer points?"
He sighed and muttered something under his breath before looking at me.
"Just hold out your hand and touch it to mine. Then specify the amount and if the target agrees then you'll have a transfer of points."
I nod and give him the points. A hundred disappearing from my status as I took the cloak and wore it.
Before I left I found myself turning my head and looking back to the store keep.
"Oh before I go do you know anyone that sells ores or ingots?"
He thought for a second before gesturing me over.
He gave me a map before circling a place in it and marking another.
"We're her, just follow this map and you'll find them. They're a bit out of the way but they've got good reliable products."
I nodded and gave my thanks before leaving.
The hum of En seemed ti be urging me forwards. She seemed almost eager to be on the move.
I couldn't help but smile and oblige her.
She was just too sweet for me to refuse her.
But there was the question of why I could understand her.
For as from what I knew there was no skill and nothing to indicate that I should be able to communicate and understand swords.
It was a mystery, one that I couldn't be bothered to find out now.
