I looked straight into the sun, it blinded me with its light yet I couldn't look away.
Despite how blinding it was, I could still see the solar flares that burst from the surface of it.
Those same tendrils of flame reached out, pulling energy through my body.
It was a weird feeling as at the same time that I was viewing these tendrils going randomly throughout the void of space I could also feel my limbs as they took in that same energy.
However what I focused the most on was the erratic pattern that they held as those tendrils passed through my limbs.
It felt as if the pattern could be streamlined, to be more efficient than it was at the moment.
A breath flew from my mouth as I forced my eyes closed. Though they were forced open a second later, it allowed me time to think.
In how those patterns would be streamlined and how I would do such a thing.
I started with trying to manipulate it, the tendrils swaying lightly through space at my command yet it did not fully obey me.
It was like a wild horse that I was trying to tame, bucking and kicking at my forceful pushes.
I could feel sweat fly from my head as I focused even harder.
It… would…. YIELD.
With that final declaration in my mind I took full control though it was not witho it consequences. It hurt, it hurt so much.
Yet I could not stop now. I needed to continue.
And continue I did. The new control over it that I had gained allowing for me to straighten the flow.
Through my muscles and my tendons it went, following th the natural lines before taking to the bones just to exit at the next muscles.
It was weird how it didn't just go through each muscle without flowing through the bone yet I didn't change that part.
I knew, instinctually, that for the enhancements that I had favored in the last battle I would need to let the mana flow through my bones.
Yet I couldn't shake the feeling that it was inefficient.

"Kiuk"
"Kiak"
The chittering of the Kobolds wa surge first thing I heard as I brought myself down from my trance.
I found myself staring at their faces, my body soaked in sweat.
My stomach was grumbling in protest, as if it had used up all of its saved nutrients and I couldn't help but agree with it.
As when I looked down to my arms and stomach I found naught but skin and bones.
The muscles and fat that had been there turn from me and eaten as nutrients.
My head felt faint and my vision was starting to go black. A hand raised in from of my eyes, a plant in its hand as it offered it to me.
I quickly took it, not caring for the notification on the points I had gained.
With no decor I devoured it while, but even then my stomach still protested. It wanted more and more.
I couldn't help but oblige, holding my hand out for more food that the Kobolds could hopefully find before I passed out in hunger.
Thankfully they were prepared with more and more plants being placed in my hand before I devoured them whole and raw.
They were bland, even disgusting at times but if it helped to alleviate the hunger then I would eat it.
Eventually the hunger faded and so too with it did the black in my vision.
I blinked, then blinked again, the spots slowly fading from my eyes.
Then, when I opened my eyes once again to the surroundings around me it changed
The world, it had changed in th e moments that I had been meditating inwardly.
It had not lost its color nor had it game dark. No, it was the exact opposite.
Everything in my vision felt alive, as if they were breathing. Even the dead grass and plants around me emanated this warm breath.
I reached out my hand to the dead plants, my fingers caressing it.
'Manipulate' 'use' 'create'
Words flew from deep within my consciousness and into my mind.
Beckoning me to do something. What, I could not tell you. I was barely able to put it to word sun my own head.
But still I followed those directions, it was like my instincts and they had not yet led me astray.
So with a breath I focused and just as I directed the energy within I directed the energy of this dead plant.
It flew through the air, coalescing into an orb of light.
It did not have a color though nor did it have a purpose.
It felt as if it was demanding me for one. And I gave in, a smile on my face as I gave it its purpose.
"Light" I whispered to myself, the vocalization giving me the needed focus to actualize my vision.
Instantly the tent around me was bathed in light m, the origin of said light being the orb of mana that floated above my hand.
Around me the Kibolds were looking at it like a godsend. As if I had done something impossible yet I felt that this was only the start.
Like I could do anything with this power.
Yet before I could do anything else I needed to address the problem of the war I had started.
The creatures that we had fought were scattered, their cooperation only a necessity.
It was like they were not the main unit at all, scouts. They were most likely scouts that had converged upon our point.
At the thought my teeth grit themselves. I was thinking of the worst cases.
As, if they were only the scouts then what would actual warriors look like. Would we be able to defeat them.
It was a grim line of thinking yet I couldn't help but smile in a relaxed manner.
