They held several meetings concerning the assassination of king Hugh in the past, but they never came to a conclusion or a final decision. They were only three people in the upper room. The king, Sirocco and Roddy. They were busy planning and plotting. It was all about the treasure. Hills treasure.
"Your highness,I say we assassinate the king first". Sirocco suggested
"Why so?" The king asked.
" if we assassinate the king, the protector will vanish soon. I mean there is a low chance that we can defeat the protector. A very low chance".
The king looked at him.
"I know hills does not have an heir to ascend the throne after the king. A new king ,a new protector. No king,no protector". Sirocco explained.We cannot defeat the protector, so it is better we terminate the source of his existence,the king.
"That's great, sirocco. I like how you think. We attack the strength and after the protector's demise we will claim the treasures". King Malaa said with a wicked smile on his face.
Roddy stood there in silence,he watched them talk and laugh.
Sirocco would have sent liam for this mission,but Liam is very important to him. He could not risk him.
"Here is Roddy, a sample,after he received his money Sirocco couldn't care less what happens to him.
"I say we strike tonight". Said the king.
" Excellent... My king. Now is the best time. After the death of the king,we will wait for the protector to leave before we proceed".
"This time we shall prevail. The army is preparing for war already. I wish they know what we have in stall for them". King Malaa smiled again.
Sirocco started the protection spell.

The spell took time but finally the protection charm was made. It was an ancient bead. Roddy wore it on his neck.
"It will protect you from evil and keep you safe. Make sure you put it on always... Sirocco said.
Sirocco could feel the treasures in his hands already. The praises that will be given to him and segund.
Segund will sit high with wealth, influence and power. He thought.
"What could possibly go wrong".
"Be careful Roddy, be very careful... sirocco warned.
"Yes,I will be. I have gone to hills before,dressed like one of them to study the village and how the palace is built. So this operation will be very easy for me". Roddy said to sirocco.
Roddy cannot wait to come back home and live lavish.
The king paid him a huge sum of money and if the operation goes successful he will receive ten gold bars and favor from the king,as the one who paved way for his people by killing hills king.
" So much glory. He thought.
"Go now... Sirocco commanded.

Nakir trusts his instincts more than anything in this world. Everything feels weird this days. He could barely sleep,it was though something huge is coming, something bad.
Oh my goodness.
"What is this feeling?" He thought.
Nakir has been feeling quite unusual for days now. He had terrible mood swings for days. A little hope, little fun and BOOM-- deep thoughts and bad visions.
"What is wrong?" He thought
He has been like this for weeks. A little happiness and big sadness. His mind is definitely messing around,but this cold feeling In his heart,this void and dark feeling in his stomach,he could not comprehend what it is. Even so now, the merriment he felt in his heart vanished completely.
He left the cave to stay in the king's chamber because of his constant mood swings.
He feels the king is not safe. This mood swings cannot be a coincidence it's definitely something. Something big. Perhaps something that has to do with the king. He could not risk it so he stayed with the king in his chamber.
The night was extremely dark and black,its almost seem like the stars were missen in the sky or like the moon disappeared.Few guards were around the king's chamber.The palace atmosphere was quiet and if you listen you can hear the sound of the wind outside.The king was fast asleep but his friend was not.
He focused his gaze directly on the dim sky, everything about the night was dim even his green little emerald on his forehead.Although he is a reptile his body had a special low temperature.He felt cold and anxious.
He felt like everything will go wrong in a twinkle of an eye.
A dark figure snaked his way through the entrance so no one will notice.
Nakir saw him but the figure wore a charm around his loins, so nakir held his peace.
The figure proceeded to where the king laid asleep.
He choked the life out of him and stabbed him right in his belly,he struggled for a few minutes and later gave up.Grief welled up in nakir's heart for he was unable to protect his friend.
The figure went away and vanished in the dark night.
*** One of guard walked into the king's chamber to inform him on the arrival of the queen.
"Your grace,her highness is on her way to meet you".
There was no response.The guard repeated his words.And again no response.
"Pardon me your grace,I don't mean to disturb you but her highness is on her way.And again there was no response.
He walked out to inform the queen.
"Do not be disturbed,for I shall go to him myself.she said.
"My lord, it pleases me to speak to you this morning,may I come into your chamber.
She said hoping to hear his welcoming voice.But there was no response.
She waited patiently, perhaps he would come out to her. Instead nakir did.He creeped to where she stood.
"Do not be dismayed, for the king is no more.Nakir said calmly with sadness in his voice.
The queen walked quietly to where the king laid. He laid in the pool of his own blood.
She sunk down hopelessly and confused.
"Emergency! emergency!!"
She called out.
They assembled into the king's chamber.The head of the palace official called out to two other officials.
"Go, inform the elders".
They rushed out.He called out to another official."Go, inform the death officials and tell them to preparing the requirements.The elders assembled in. They took their sit.
"How did it happened?"
They asked in unison.
"We are yet to find out".
The head of the palace official answered.
"How did this happened under our noses.
Who were the guards on duty.
The most influential of the elders asked.
"We have them under house arrest now, and they are been questioned. In a nutshell none of them seem to know a thing on how it happened".
"I'll do everything in my power to make sure the truth comes out and the culprit is caught.
"Dismiss".
The queen announced.
