At such a point in time, it was very clear that bosses weren't creatures that couldn't be defeated by a single person. However, Bruce wanted to defy that logic with all his might. For now, he had allies, but until when? People only work together when they all benefit from it, when the camp was no longer beneficial to them, Bruce didn't doubt that the survivors would leave. For when that moment arrives, Bruce had to be ready.
Thinking like that before such a battle wasn't something he wanted to do, but it couldn't be helped given the circumstances... Bruce wondered if it would be a better idea to keep someone with him all the time in order to make him say all of his nonsense whenever possible.
"Let's go, mate," Bruce said. "I will bet my life on this and you will bet yours and your spear as well. It is a fair trade."
