Again and again, the sword connected with the demon's head, each strike fueled by Bruce's unwavering resolve. The sound of impact reverberated through the chamber, a thunderous cacophony of metal meeting bone. The strange nagging feeling that lingered at the back of his mind was pushed aside as Bruce channeled all his energy into the onslaught. His every movement was driven by a single purpose: to overpower and vanquish the malevolent force that stood before him.
When the smoke dissipated, Bruce saw the results of his attacks. The head of the demon had changed so much that it was hard to call him human anymore. Not like he was one, to begin with, after becoming a vessel for a demon.
