Though Bruce had previously expressed caution about engaging in battles after sunset, he recognized that their situation called for a more flexible approach. The skeletal horde showed no signs of relenting, their relentless pursuit carrying on regardless of the hour. If they were to make meaningful progress in pushing back the darkness, they could not afford to limit their actions solely to daylight hours.
In the afternoon, Bruce got three levels while the skeletons got two… still, unlike the enemies, Bruce could get tired, so they had the upper hand… At the same time, so did their master… Bruce didn't have time to slow down if he wanted to obtain any hope of clearing that dungeon and surviving at the same time.
