Xavier's POV

"Wakey, wakey sunshine," Diane said, clapping her hands over my face as she looked down at me with a wide smile.

"Ugh." I grunted, turning away to the window lethargically, as I prayed she would just go away and let me sleep.

"C'mon babe, we're gonna be late again, see, the bus is getting empty." She said, grabbing my arm and trying to pull me away from the seat, in vain.

"Fine," I drawled, rubbing my eyes tiredly as I stood up.

My sight was blurry and hazy as I looked around the bus, clutching Diane's hand in case I should trip as I staggered away from the bus, into the evening of Greenfield.

Greenfield!

I gave the camp a once over the moment I stepped down, it was a very big guest house, it's length similar to that of a mighty castle and the luminance emitting from the house was beautifying and enthusing, so bright that my eyes squinted to adjust to the blinding light of the house.

"This never gets old." Diane whispered into my ears, biting my earlobe gently and I shivered slightly before chuckling.

"Where's Clarke and Will?" I asked, throwing my eyes everywhere around the surroundings heaving with weary students.

"They left," Diane chuckled, "they need the best rooms." She concluded, nudging me gently as we walked.

"Xavier!" A female voice shouted my name and I turned my head towards the direction of the sound, to see Ms. Cassy, smiling widely at me, with her fingers interlocked below her stomach.

"Oh kill me." I exclaimed with a heavy sigh,

"She's still into you, isn't she?" Diane said, rolling her eyes over her as I sighed.

"She's into Will, Clarke, Noah, Aaron, heck she might even be into you." I said with a weary voice and Diane laughed at that, smirking immediately.

"Well go be with her, I'd be waiting." She announced, giving me a light push towards Ms Cassy.

"You do just that." I said, jogging towards our coach with a smile obviously fake.

"Hi, ma'am." I greeted, knowing she would correct me, saying, "you can call me Cas", she always did it and it was just about...

"Oh, Marshall, I've told you countless times, you can call me Cas." She said and grinned widely.

Now.

I sniggered softly at her funny demeanor, "You called for me." I said, wearing my best stern look and I think she got the memo for her smile quickly disappeared.

She coughed to clear her throat, "I'm doing the assigning as you know," she began, sounding all professional that I nearly laughed, "you are to stay in Hostel B16, you can go check it out now, and if you don't like it, do well to tell me," she said and smiled, then let out a small "oh" "one more thing, your roommates would be your bestie Diane and the new girl." She announced, stretching her lips into a wide smile, like she had given me a "music to your ears" information.

"Ahem," I cleared my throat, standing into my full height, with my hands dug deeply into my pockets, "umm, by the new girl do you mean Beverly Jones? The girl with long wavy hair?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows deeply as I watched Ms Cassy click her tongue.

"Uh, yeah, but if you don't like it, you can inform me, what's a coach for after all." She chuckled and nudged me gently, winking weirdly at me and I shifted a bit at her strange behavior.

"Well, I love it, but isn't there a way for Clarke and Will to be with me? I mean, they are my best friends too." I asked and Ms Cassy rubbed her chin in thought.

"Well, you have to choose between the girls or the boys I guess." She announced, her hand still rubbing her chin.

"Haha, no way, they should be where they are." I said, rolling my eyes at her with a small laugh.

"Anyways, if you need anything, please don't hesitate to contact me." She said and turned away, heading towards the coach bus with scampers, but then I quickly grabbed her wrist and pulled her closely towards me, her eyes wide with confusion as I wrapped an arm around her slim waist, and gently pattered my fingers against her belly button,

"I've got one more favor," I smirked after announcing and I noticed how red her cheeks blushed but just then, I withdrew my arm from her waist, still wearing a smirk.

"I'm all yours." She declared, inching towards me, slowly and gradually.

I tutted at that, before returning my hands inside my pockets,

"Can you get me my clothes from my house?" I asked, feeling the urge to burst out into laughter as her face etched with disappointment.

She grunted and pulled away from me, "That's not what I'm here for." She curtly replied, her face down cast as she spoke.

"Pwease." I stressed, wearing a rare baby face as I lifted her head up towards mine.

"I haven't got any clothes with me, please." I begged insincerly and her face soon began to brighten up.

"You owe me one." She said and poked my chest while I ran a hand through her hair, whilst the other hand circled her waist once more and she blushed hardly,

"Of course." Was what I said before withdrawing and turning away, looking at Diane who alternated the weight on both legs as she looked furiously at me.

I laughed softly at her scowl which almost looked like a childish pout, and I can swear she looked beautiful rather than grumpy,

"Sorry baby," I nuzzled her nose and she quickly drew back, rubbing her face gingerly like she was removing the feeling of my nose from hers.

"You should have taken a mattress along," she hissed.

"Wouldn't be important," I smirked.

"You kept me waiting a while you know." She frowned and I knew she was angry, Diane isn't the person that gets grumpy all the time, but when she gets mad then you most definitely went extreme.

"I'm sorry," I whispered, taking her cold hand in mine.

"Won't you tell me what you discussed with your sugar momma?" She snickered as she spoke, emphasising the 'sugar', "I saw you flirt with her, now tell me all about that." She prompted as we legged towards the house, the surroundings so empty yet not quiet, chattering of students was heard graphically from where I stood with Diane.

Looking over my shoulder I said, "I didn't flirt with her,"

Diane chortled hardly before speaking, "Oh yeah, holding her waist and touching her hair is such a student-teacher relationship," she said, elbowing my sides and I giggled.

"Well, that was because I needed her to do something for me, but that's not important, what you should worry about is that we share a room with Beverly." I announced to her while facing my shoes as I waited for her response.

"You've got to be kidding me," she merely said, betraying no emotions whatsoever.

"I kid thou not, she arranged it, something B something." I replied, forgetting the room assigned to me.

"And Will and Clarke would be where?" Diane asked, clearly trying to absorb the information.

"Having fun, duh." I said, trying hard to remember the room.

Diane rubbed her chin before saying, "You're the only boy amongst u–

"Aha!" I exclaimed as I remembered the room, "Hostel B66." I announced, doing a small victory dance in my head, but soon caught a questioning stare from Diane.

"What? You should be thankful that I remembered it." I said, hitting her shoulder as we climbed into the doorway,

"Dude, hostel B section stops at 33, don't be a retard, not like you haven't been here before," she hissed, pulling away from me and I was left to rummage my mind to remember.

"Then I guess I'd just keep thinking," I said and sighed in defeat.

"No, no more thinking for you dull brain," she smacked the back of my neck and I quickly held it, rubbing it and wincing, "we search the 33 rooms for Beverly then we know our hostel." Diane provided, giving me that "common sense is not common" look and I pouted at it.

"I thought of that too." I said, walking hastily up the stairs when I heard Diane's hurtful laughter.

"You really did," she said amidst a fitful laughter, "sometimes I just wonder the difference between you and Will, but then I realize that he's funnily stupid and you are just stupidly stupid." She said, still laughing.

"That's not true, because if it were, you wouldn't be laughing." I said quickly, not even understanding what I said.

"So you admit to being stupid?" Diane asked, running in front of me to look at my face with her arms folded across her chest.

"Oh that's not it, I'm not stupid, I'm funnily—" then I stopped abruptly, realizing what I was saying and how stupid it sounded, "shut up." I said, pushing Diane aside as I walked up the stairs.

Diane who had already drowned in laughter stopped and asked, "Where's your luggage?"

"Yes! The B section." I said, ignoring her question as I looked forwardly at the 33 rooms in which my hostel was cloaked in.

"Hey," I said, dragging Diane by her ear, "now let's get to work, chop chop." I shouted, clapping my hands in her red face as she gritted he teeth at me.

"Really?!" She thundered.

"C'mon, how hard can it hurt?" I asked, shrugging my shoulders nonchalantly, but before my shoulders could fall, Diane grabbed my ear, turning and twisting it as I winced.

She turned it till it blossomed red and I kept groaning and wincing at the pain.

"Oh come-on babe, how bad can it hurt." She snickered and walked away, but soon came back, dragging my arm into a room that had Hostel B4 plastered on the widely opened door.

"Beverly's there." She whispered into my ear, "that's our room idiot, get in!" She commanded, pushing me into the room that Beverly was in, seated on a bed with a girl at the edge, talking gingerly but stopped immediately after noticing my presence.

"Umm-uh-huh?" I gibbered before dashing out from the room to Diane who was standing by the door.

"What? You look like you've seen a ghost." She said with a chuckle and I didn't respond, rather I pulled her by the arm and dragged her into the room.

"Ahem," I cleared my throat, as they both watched me in somewhat confusion, or maybe not confusion, the other girl's face blushed and her face fell to the floor, Beverly herself wore an expression of disgust as she looked at me,

"Do you need help?" Beverly asked, furrowing her brow at me and I ignored her, walking to the empty bed near to me and pratfell on it, feeling the need to fall asleep.

"Hmm," I sighed deeply, not minding the gazes they pinned on me as I motioned Diane to take the top bunk.

"Umm, sorry, what's this?" The other girl asked finally, standing up and trudging towards us,

"Please are you Jason?" She asked looking at me, "and are you Virginia?" She asked, her face fixated on Diane.

"And are you by any chance Beyoncé?" I asked sarcastically at the negro girl that stood in front of me as her face flushed hot red.

She gulped severally and turned her face away in embarrassment, before walking to Beverly who smirked at me.

"Nevermind." She whispered, but loud enough for me to hear and I smiled, lying lifelessly on the bed as I thought of Will and Clarke, but almost immediately my thoughts were scuttled by the barging of a boy and a girl, giggling and chattering and I looked at them with a very confused expression.

"Hey, are you both Jason and Virginia?" Beverly asked, extending a hand towards them and they received it.

"Are you Camella?" They asked in unison but Beverly shook her head, pointing a finger at the negro girl saying, "that's Camella."

I jerked from the bed in confusion, "Sorry, I don't understand what's going on here, what's all these people doing here?" I barked.

"And what are you doing here?" The boy asked, confusion also etched on his faces and that was when Diane walked up to me, drew her head to my ear and whispered,

"This isn't our room and from what I see, this isn't Beverly's either." She said lowly that only I could hear and my eyes furthered towards Beverly who was smiling at Camella.

"There's been a mixup somewhere, sorrry." Diane explained, dragging me away from the room and glared at me as we stopped in the hallway.

"What the fuck was that?!" She thundered.

"I don't know, you tell me." I said, placing my hands on my waist.

"No, you tell me, you said Beverly's our roommate," she whisper-shouted.

"No, you tell me, you pushed me into that room." I said, pointing an accusing finger at her face.

"Yes, becau–" she stopped immediately Beverly stepped out from the room, her hand on her waist as she looked at us.

"Care to join me?" She asked, stretching her hand towards me and I turned away to Diane who was already glaring at her with hate.

"Why you obsessed with him?!" Diane spat and Beverly squeezed her face at her.

"Obsessed is an understatement my darling." Beverly replied, clicking her tongue at me before taking her hand back.

"Anyways if you won't join me then suit yourselves." She concluded and walked away, while Diane kept kicking me to join her and I always kicked her back to stop kicking me.

Beverly stepped in front of hostel B16, turned the door knob open and walked inside, while Diane and I followed suit, Diane dragging her bag along as we hurried to the room.

"Thought you both got suites in ya bags." Beverly said, climbing the steps to the top bunk.

"You're not sleeping on the top bunk." I declared, clenching my jaw.

"Make me." Beverly dared, sprawling on the bed as she sighed satisfactorily.

My fists clenched tightly and my heart raced.

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Diane whispered into my ear, pressing my hand gently, trying to soothe my anger.

And boy was I angry, I was fed up with her rudeness and arrogance, she needed to be put in check and nobody would be able to do it if not me.

"Get down from there." I ordered, taking off my leather jacket and casting it to the floor, yet Beverly didn't flinch and something about the way she was so carefree got me a bit scared.

"Ohh, I'm blinded by the light," Beverly sang, being nonchalant about the fact that I was ready to smash a hole through her skull and feel no damn regret,

but am I so sure about not regretting?

"Calm down dude, you know that you aren't particular about bunks." Diane said, squeezing my hand softly and I quickly withdrew my hand, stomping towards the bunk and grabbing Beverly's small legs and crashing her to the floor, her mouth hitting hardly against the ground and she screamed loudly, yelling in agony as she clapped a hand over her bleeding mouth

"You should have listened." I said to her as she cried and writhed on the floor, I smirked down at her before climbing up to the bunk.

Diane, her face masked with surprise as her jaw dropped and her eyes widened at the horrifying sight of Beverly who was in pains as she wriggled on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Diane asked, crouching towards Beverly as she tried lifting her from the ground,

"Step away from her Diane!" I growled at Diane and her eyes sparked in horror.

"Sorry?" She said confusedly, still holding Beverly up.

"You heard me, don't let me repeat myself." I growled again at Diane whose eyes glistened with fear and after a few seconds she left the hurt Beverly and trudged towards her bed and cringed up towards the wall.

My eyes fell back on Beverly as she cried and I felt my heart flutter, I felt the urge to pick her up and ease her pain but rather I repeated, "You should have listened."
