Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Wrap Party

"There's $25,530 left."

"Good. I announce that tonight, we will have a party at the Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Everyone must attend and enjoy themselves."

Kevin waved his hand and said loudly with a smile.

"Ohhhh, we love you, Director Kevin!"

"Kevin, you're the best director!"

"..."

With Kevin's words, the set erupted in cheers. Small-scale productions like this one usually don't hold such parties, so it was a rare occasion that instantly lifted the spirits of everyone present.

"Everyone, you go ahead. I'll join you after I send off these filming materials," Kevin said. He took the film reels and headed to the nearby New Line Cinema with the producer.

In the project plan and contract with New Line Cinema, Kevin had already arranged for himself to have priority in the editing process.

Priority editing rights meant that he would edit the film first and then organize an internal screening. If there were any issues, he would hand it over to professional editors. But if everyone felt that his version was good, then they would use his edited version.

However, let's be clear that he didn't have final editing rights. Except for some top Hollywood directors, most directors don't have that privilege. Even someone as influential as Zack Snyder, who directed "300" and "Dawn of the Dead," lost his editing rights in his collaboration with Warner Bros., except for the situation where his fans demanded the release of his own version of "Justice League" on the internet, which Warner Bros. saw as profitable.

From this, it can be understood that Hollywood film studios are the ultimate giants. And Kevin, of course, would not be satisfied with just being a director. But everything had to start with becoming a successful director.

With enough capital and following the steps he remembered, he would find a way to acquire the DC, Marvel, and other promising IPs and gradually bring them into his fold. He aimed to build his own entertainment empire.

Of course, all of this is a story for later. After leaving the film negatives at New Line Cinema and arranging to take a day off before participating in the editing process, Kevin immediately headed to the party at the Hollywood Hotel.

Barbecue, swimming pool, alcohol - the timeless trio - helped Kevin alleviate the pressure he had been under for the past twenty-something days.

...

The next day, Kevin woke up in his hotel room and looked at the female lead lying next to him. Seeing her smooth and tender skin, he couldn't help but feel a headache.

If someone were to see this, it would tarnish his reputation.

Although he wasn't a virgin in his past or present life, he wasn't the kind of person who fooled around outside. The intimate moments were only with his girlfriend.

"Mmm..."

A lazy voice sounded, and Salma Hayek woke up. Thinking about the wild night with director Kevin, her body couldn't help but heat up.

After Kevin, half-drunk and half-awake, was assisted by other crew members, she helped him into the hotel room.

In the process, emotions flared up for a moment, combined with her gratitude towards Director Kevin, and under a half-push, half-give-in situation, it ended up like this.

Of course, she saw great potential in Kevin, which was why she did it.

Given their age difference, they naturally had no future together, but as a mature woman, she understood these younger guys well.

She knew how tempting her body was to them very well.

Although there was no future, just getting a little care from Kevin was already good enough for her. Besides, her physical needs were satisfied by the youthful and energetic body of the director.

At this moment, with tousled hair exuding allure, Salma Hayek didn't say anything. She just smiled at Kevin, who was bare-chested beside her, and licked her lips.

Since it was their day off, he didn't have the time to think about how they ended up in this situation.

He simply pounced on her.

...

Having a day of fun, the woman and the party allowed him to release all the stress.

And Salma Hayek made him happy too because she didn't demand anything from him. In plain terms, it was just the mutual fulfillment of each other's physical needs between a man and a woman.
