Chapter 13 - Party's End

Chaos overtook Hidrus Quintus. A great tear opened in the sky, covering the previously beautiful starry landscape with a sickly and disturbing pink as laughter, screams, chaotic music, and pleasant aromas attacked the mortal's senses.

Energy fragments fell like rain, balls of multicolored light turning to abominable creatures unimaginable to the mortal mind upon hitting the ground, some winged and others centaur-like.

Le Refuge Ombré's inhabitants, Hidrus Quintu's largest island and governor palace's location, locked themselves in their partially destroyed homes or fled to the ports to sail away.

Families ran despaired as those left behind were torn to pieces or dragged away to a fate unknown. The seamen enforced their greatest law, women and children first, placing them on ships accompanied only by the crew necessary to sail.

Simultaneously, the P.D.F and any armed man did their best to delay the monsters, firing at them from behind barricades.

However, there was little effect, they were fast, easily dodging the bullets as those hit did not receive considerable damage or ignored the projectiles, overcoming the defenders and approaching the ships.

Everyone braced for what would come, families hugged, some prayed to the Emperor to save their souls while others took objects as weapons.

That was it, they would fight to the end, but deep down, they knew they were doomed, the Imperial Guard would never arrive in time, if they would ever arrive, if they found this planet, they would only see the ruins and bones.

The creatures advanced with sadistic smiles and uncontrolled laughter. Suddenly, the planet shook, starting with something small, water ripples, falling objects, collapsing condemned houses, then, came the real tremor.

Massive waves covered the ocean, the sea bottom broke and moved violently as if something deep forcibly rose, creatures lost their balance, ships rocked and humans grabbed what they could to not fall into the water.

The tremor continued for minutes that felt like hours until everything stopped and a deadly silence overtook the island, then, a powerful green light illuminated the night.

The humans feared turning around, but the brave and curious fought their dread and had a breathtaking view.

A gigantic black, silver, and green pyramid shone on the horizon with two smaller ones in front of it, two beside it, and if someone could watch from above, two more behind it.

These wonderful buildings glowed brightly, but their light dimmed from top to bottom, disappearing into the ocean.

A few seconds passed until a green dot appeared in the water, then another and another, tens, hundreds, thousands, millions, the ocean turned green and a metallic buzzing attacked everyone's ears.

A Scarab Swarm that blocked the pink sky burst from the water with an incessant metallic hum, advancing like a green and silver wave toward the creatures, piercing their flesh with their sharp legs.

This caused both pain and pleasure and the creatures swung their claws amid moans, vainly cutting the swarms as more Scarabs immediately filled the gaps.

The centaur-like creatures charged forward, their large bodies overcoming the damage and serving as battering rams to open paths for the others.

They didn't last long as the port's atmosphere boiled and electrified, a thin and long green line appeared in the air, expanding and forming a gigantic green rectangle, an Eternity Gate.

Large and powerful War Engines emerged from it, heavily armored metallic pyramids with a large green floating orb on top and four weapons on the sides.

They floated across the battlefield, firing their Gauss Flux Arc Projectors and hitting the monster with gleaming sickly green lightning, turning their bodies to ash and banishing them to the Immaterium.

The centaurs withstood the onslaught, but the orb atop the great machines spun with a blinding flash and a bizarre hum as green energy covered its surface, firing a Death Ray and erasing the beings from existence.

With the area secured, the large constructions landed and a green portal opened in it, revealing advancing thin contours, metallic skeletal beings marching in unison, forming powerful firing lines of fire and shooting with deadly precision at the monsters.

The Monoliths brought the Necrons to the battlefield and no Daemons would stand in their way. The metallic legions marched like a Necrodermis wall and the Daemonettes saw their foes as another amusement source, rashly advancing toward them.

The Warriors advanced slowly and methodically with a shower of Gauss lightning, seeing no rush in combat as a quick and reckless victory would only lead to defeat.

The Immortals left the Monoliths and the extermination undertaken became more efficient with their orders. Heads were incinerated, limbs were deatomized and torsos erased from existence.

However, the daemons weren't defenseless, Slaanesh's forces could be the most "fragile", but they had an advantage that no other Never-Born had their devilish speed.

The most skilled Daemonettes danced between the Gauss's shots and charged toward the Necrons, leaping, sliding, taking cover, and colliding with the first line, taking more damage than expected, as they did the equivalent of head-butting a metal wall.

The smarter ones slashed the Warrior's joints, severing arms, legs, and heads, their Necrodermis inferior and less armored, nevertheless, they raised their Gauss Flayers and plunged their blades into the creatures' flesh.

A Daemonette leaped towards the Immortal leading that line and he reacted as a veteran of the War in Heaven would, plunging his Gauss Blaster's blade into the daemon's stomach, lifting her, and firing his weapon, destroying her as her legs fell, disappearing soon after.

The Immortal reorganized their line into a defensive formation and helped eliminate the daemons pressuring them, buying time for reinforcements to arrive.

Flying War Engines emerged From the Eternity Gate, a large twin cannon mounted on a platform, each piloted by two Warriors, Annihilation Barges that now floated behind the Necron lines.

Firing their powerful anti-infantry weaponry, Twin-Linked Tesla Destroyers, and huge energy cannons that fire devastating lightning arcs, they eliminated the Daemonettes ahead, ending the pressure on the Necron lines.

Some Barges took stationary positions, protecting the Monoliths and the Eternity Gate, while others accompanied the infantry.

Slowly, the battle left the port and reached the city's narrow streets, dividing the Warriors into smaller groups.

A group marched down a small street where Daemonettes tried to invade human houses, knocking against doors and windows, asking to enter, promising unimaginable pleasure.

They could easily invade it, but there was no fun in that, the more they played with the prey, the better the kill. However, a metallic march interrupted their fun and the Warriors targeted them with the Immortal's order.

A Fiend appeared at the street's end, neighing and galloping towards the Necrons. The Immortal ordered them to focus fire on it, de-atomizing pieces of its body to the beyond.

The daemon used its claws to shield its face and charged forward, almost colliding with the Necron line if not by a powerful green beam ripping through the air and opening a hole in its claws and forehead.

Looking at the shot's source, the Immortal saw a Necron on a building's roof, thinner than normal, with a single glowing eye, wearing black shoulder pads and a metallic arch around their heads, and carrying large weapons disproportionate to their size.

A Death Mark, Necron Snipers, assassins able to enter and leave dimensions at will. They weren't teleported to the battlefield, they were there all along.

Five blurs appeared behind the first Death Mark, stabilizing and revealing five more of the same unity leaving their hyperspace dimension where they observed the battlefield.

They disappeared into the dimensions between now and then with their Synaptic Disintegrator Rifles, and reappeared at different battlefield points, eliminating large targets or downing Hate Angels mid-flight.

The Immortal and the Warriors resumed their march, spotting something moving in an alley. A Warrior followed his basic combat protocol and verified the disturbance's source, finding a child hiding behind wooden crates.

He ignored the organic as his protocols dictated that he should only fight threats, and an unarmed small mortal is hardly one, so he turned away, returning to his group until something hit his head's back.

CLANG!

Turning around, he saw a stone rolling across the ground and a female organic looking at him with anger and fear. It is not as if he knows what these things mean, his ability to feel and think was destroyed millennia ago.

"Stay away from my daughter!" She screamed, hurling another rock at him.

However, there was something in the Warrior's mind, cold hard logic, command protocols, yes and no, zero and one, you can and you can't.

Therefore, with hundreds of calculations processed in a second, he determined the organic as a threat and aimed his Gauss Flayer at her, ready to fire, but the War Overseer's voice stopped him.

"No! Protect humans, take them to the harbor!"

The Necron lowered his weapon and approached the organics, intending to carry out his orders. Unfortunately, he lacked finesse due to his lack of conscience and would complete his mission even if he had to break their legs and drag them away.

Fortunately, the Immortal appeared and handled the situation.

"You, organic, take your offspring and accompany us." He pointed at the woman and her daughter, who recoiled in fright, surprised that the being could speak. "This is an order." He aimed his Gauss Blaster with an edge of impatience in his voice.

The woman held her daughter tightly and followed the Immortal out of the alley, seeing Warriors and scarabs pulling humans from collapsed houses or out of their homes, herding them into guarded groups in a hasty march toward the harbor.

"Who are you?" The held girl spoke curiously to her parent's despair.

"SSSHHH!" Her mother covered her mouth immediately.

"We are…" The Immortal replied without turning around, but his speech stopped as his eyes' light intensified.

"We are Space Marines from the Phantom Knights Chapter, and we are here to help you." He said gently, giving the humans hope.

"Seriously, are you the Emperor's Angels? The ones from the stories?" The child asked gleefully.

"Yes, we are. Our Chapter Master and his Honor Guard are in the governor's palace, facing the person responsible for this invasion. We have orders to take you to a safe location."

Some humans prayed others made the Imperial Aquila gesture, bringing vitality to the group, and all watched in awe the various War Engines and technology employed by the Astartes.

They reached the defended harbor that ensured a steady troop flow where dozens of Monoliths covered the ground, sending more Warriors and Immortals to the battlefield.

The Annihilation Barges eliminated Daemonettes in a shower of deadly rays, accompanied by the Gauss shots of hundreds if not thousands of Warriors.

Scarabs littered the sky, repairing fallen Warriors' Necrodermis, or swarming daemons as more units left the Eternity Gate.

Ghost Arks deployed more troops, Doomstalkers positioned themselves behind Necron's lines, assisting with fire from above, Tomb Blades, Night and Doom Scythes ensured air superiority, and Canoptek Spiders assisted with the repairs.

The port became a small fortress as droves of surviving humans arrived, accompanied by Necrons and their War Engines, and entered warehouses for their safety and to not become a problem on the battlefield.

Nevertheless, the gigantic tear in the sky expanded with every minute as more daemons fell and the energy rain became a storm. A few tried to land midst the Necron forces, but the Annihilation Barges' devastating fire and Scarab swarms tore them apart.

Due to this, the daemons landed near the city's center in a torrent of energy balls.

Thousands of Daemonettes ran through the streets, Fiends knocked down walls and buildings, and Hate Angels formed their swarms to fight their flying enemies.

New types emerged from the Immaterium and joined the battle, the swift and vicious Steeds of Slaanesh with a Daemonette mounted on their backs.

They had a serpentine body propelled on two long, muscular legs ending in eviscerating claws, an extremely narrow head, and a slender snout from which a tongue several meters long savored the mortal's desires.

This legion ran frantically toward the harbor while the Necrons prepared their defenses, receiving commands from a place known only to them.

Warriors formed powerful metal immovable lines; an impassable wall. Immortals stood behind them to assist with their experience and offensive capability.

Doomstalkers stood far back, their Doomsday Blasters ready to reveal their name's meaning. Deathmarks assumed position on roofs to take down the quadruped and mounted daemons with precise accuracy.

Annihilation Barges floated above the Necron forces to eliminate oncoming infantry. Canoptek Spiders hovered above the lines to offer auxiliary fire and repair damaged units and use a certain equipment piece they had.

A cacophony of screams, laughter, and moans approached, the ground shook with hundreds of hurried footsteps; the skies filled with flapping wings, and a pink mass appeared in the distance, the demonic forces running rampant.

Protocols Initiated.

It was hell, there was no better way to explain it, all the Necron units became static in complete silence for a second. Suddenly, they fired their weapons simultaneously with absurd precision, creating a literal wall of energy.

The daemons' mad rush became a meat grinder as they fired in perfect unison without wasting a single shot.

The Annihilation Barges fired their cannons in arcs, eliminating rows of frenzied daemons who didn't realize their mistake due to their pleasure and desire clouding their reason.

Deathmarks downed Fiends and Steeds midst of their frantic rushes with their inhuman accuracy heightened by protocol, blasting holes in their heads and hitting the daemons right behind.

Doomstalkers fired their Blasters, leaving straight lines of incinerated daemons and molten stone miles away.

Even with all that firepower, the daemons were an endless legion, for each one eliminated, a hundred more fell from the sky as the banished reformed in the Warp and returned soon after, crossing the hellfire line with their deadly speed.

Initiating Monolith Phalanx Formation.

Suddenly, the Monoliths floated in groups of five and landed right behind the units, their orbs spinning and gathering energy, peaking and...

Activating Nodal Grid

An energy ray left an orb and hit the Monolith's orb beside it, forming an expanding circle and green dome that covered the Necron units.

The daemons reached the Necron lines with smiles on their faces upon having their enemy within range at last, craving the pleasure of tearing them to pieces.

A Daemonette tried to pierce a Warrior's chest, only for her claw to bend at an unnatural angle as it hit the unit.

Then, the daemon legion crashed into the Necron lines, stopping their advance as their mechanical foes stood like a metallic, immovable, and indestructible wall due to the Monoliths' formation.

This particular formation, in certain places in the fourth-dimensional universe, can emit a space-time distorting wave frequency, creating a powerful energy field called Nodal Grid, where Necron units are almost indestructible.

The daemons discovered this firsthand, attacking the Necrons with their claws, tongues, hooves, and tails, and damaging themselves in the process.

Activating Gloom Prisms

The Canoptek Spiders revealed their position's purpose, and a gloomy prism-like floating stone left a small opening on their backs and spun quickly.

The energy accumulated in the prism as its workings generated an incessant hum, stopping as fast as it began, releasing an energy blast harmless to Necrons, but deadly to daemons, a Null Field.

The daemons screamed in pain as the field attacked their bodies' energy, banishing them to the Immaterium.

Then, a command was issued and completed methodically.

Advance!

The Necrons had everything they needed to eliminate the Daemons, the fire of their weapons, the semi-invulnerability of the Nodal Grid, and the Spiders' Null Fields.

The night was long, but now, the Gauss fire, the daemons' agonizing scream, and the incessant synchronous march filled the air.

Haratek flew in a swirl of confusing colors, there was something wrong with the Eternity Gate as a disturbing multicolored mass replaced its usual green.

However, he wouldn't allow that to stop him, his Lord gave him a direct order and he will complete it. Unfortunately, a daemon had another plan and a high-pitched laugh echoed through the area.

"HAHAHA!"

An energy ball caught him off guard, hitting his back and sending the two spinning away, reshaping and revealing a smiling Daemonette.

"Greetings my new little toy!"

She tried to decapitate him with one of her claws, but he grabbed her wrist in time, stopping the blow, and realizing that she was different, possessing immense strength as her claw slowly approached his face.

She tried to slash his chest with the free one, but he sent her flying away with a powerful kick to the stomach.

"Look at that, you have courage in that metallic body! I'll have fun tearing it apart!" She lunged forward and the two broke through the gate's energy wall, disappearing.

-XXXXXX-

Green and purple energy sparks and bolts surged into the material world's air, increasing and creating an unearthly gale. A hole in reality opened with a blinding flash and a meteor fell, quickly ripping through the sky and hitting an island's rocky surface.

Two individuals rolled across the ground; one a metallic skeleton and another a purple monster. The Daemonette tried to slash Haratek as he tried to push he away, putting his foot on her stomach and kicking her over him.

However, she somersaulted and landed with her feet together and arms outstretched, bowing to a nonexistent audience. Haratek, on the other hand, stood up and opened a new Eternity Gate.

"I'll face you later."

Entering it, only for it to close and open, returning him to the island.

"Hm…" He flew off the island with a frustrated grunt, colliding with a pink blinking barrier preventing him from leaving.

He returned to the island and stopped in front of the Daemonette, recognizing this place as the Rugged Isles, Gol D. Loota's former hideout, and now a lifeless rock in the middle of the ocean.

He also saw the tomb raised from the water, the pink sky above the human island, and the great Eternity Gate.

"I won't leave until I defeat you, will I?" He readied his Rod of Night.

"You're smart, and you're right! You'll be my partner for tonight! You can leave if you beat me, but if you lose... Well, let's just say I'll discover what causes you pain!" She clicked her claws sadistically.

"You differ from others I've faced." He circled the Daemonette as she did the same.

"Oh, you noticed! I am flattered! I am a Herald of Slaanesh, a Daemonette favored and privileged by my goddess! Her blessings granted me deadly powers and I have slaughtered millions in her name! I am known by many names across hundreds of civilizations, but you may call me Lustfury, The Queen of Avarice!"

"Haratek." The Cryptek replied disinterested, analyzing her.

She was taller, more muscular, and had claws bigger than a normal Daemonette, wearing a long purple skirt, a bronze breastplate, shoulder pads, and a crown imitating long hair.

"BHO! No titles? No introductions? Just a name? You are not funny!" Lustfury leaped at an insane speed toward the Cryptek.

However, he blocked the blow with his rod, pushing her away and trying to hit her head, but then she leaned back, showing great flexibility and aiming a kick at his head.

The Cryptek leaned aside, letting the blow pass, and twirled his rod tip at Lustfury's stomach as she tried to kick his head's side with a swift twist of her body.

He blocked it with his left arm as his feet skidded across the ground while the Daemonette jumped to her feet and lunged forward.

Haratek swung his rod, electricity flowing through his adorned weapon, and fired several bolts at her, however, Lustfury dodged with unnatural grace and beauty as each shot left a molten hole on the ground.

One of the bolts seemed to hit her, creating a large smoke cloud, but she jumped high in the air, avoiding more approaching shots, spinning and contorting her body in bone-shattering stunts.

She dove with both feet aimed at Haratek's chest, who blocked the blow as she used him as support to throw herself backward, landing crouched with raised claws.

Lustfury attacked in a speed burst that cracked the soil, intending to cut off the Necron's legs, but he floated, allowing her to pass beneath him, and slashed downwards, trying to hit her back.

She moved through the attack, but the Cryptek wasn't finished, using his rod as support to spin and kick her away, rolling across the ground, digging her claws into the earth to stop, and block the next attack in time.

Haratek didn't allow her to recover and darted toward his enemy, planning to smash her head with a blow from above.

She raised her claws above her head like a shield as the Necron struck, releasing a shock wave and sinking the Daemonettes' feet into the ground, then, energizing his weapon.

"Impressive, no one has lasted this long!" Lustfury screamed in ecstasy as electricity coursed through her body.

"You need to be reminded why we are the most feared race in this galaxy!" Haratek replied angrily.

He tried to hit her chin with a low blow, but she jumped back and stepped on a large rock, propelling herself forward while spinning her body, delivering a spinning kick to his chest, sending him backward.

"Seriously? So show me! Show me what you're capable of!"

"With pleasure!"

Suddenly, several arms appeared on his back, moving away and revealing copies of himself pointing their rods at her.

The one on the left tried to hit Lustfury's head while the one on the right her legs.

However, she blocked the first blow and jumped back, dodging the second, and stepped on the rod, pinning down the weapon, then, kicked the right copy's chin and the left copy's head's side, charging at the original Haratek right after.

The copies stood in her path and she sank her claws into their chests, however, nothing happened until they exploded in a strong blinding light, making her scream and retreat with her face covered.

This was a mistake, as something hit her stomach and lifted her in the air while her vision returned gradually, revealing Haratek facing her from below as he held her with his weapon's tip, and then the pain came.

"AAAHHH! HAHAHA!" Lustfury laughed and screamed as agonizing power assaulted her body in a mixture of untold pain and overwhelming pleasure.

Her muscles spasmed, her flesh burned, her eyes almost melted, her crown and clothes caught fire, searing her skin and adding a new kind of pain. This was heaven for her.

"HAHAHA! M-more!" She wrapped her claws around Haratek's rod, fighting the electricity, and freeing herself, surprising him before catching his left shoulder between her claw, severing his member as he retreated, quickly recovering his weapon with his remaining one.

Haratek tried to strike the flaming Lustfury's head, but she dodged the blow as he raised his weapon, darting forward while squatting, and catching his right leg between her claw, severing it.

He leaned on his weapon to prevent falling as the short surprise stopped him from floating.

That was more than enough for her to kick his chest, knocking him to the ground before leaping and diving with both feet into his chest, laying on him while stroking his chest in the end. He could not feel pain, but the damage alerts were worrisome.

"I will miss you. No one took me on such a fun date. Our night together was special, however, it has to end, unfortunately. But don't worry; I'll bring something special to remember you." Lustfury said with sadness, whether fake or genuine, only she knew, and placed her claw on Haratek's neck.

The Cryptek, on the other hand, glared with his one eye, sighing tiredly before speaking. "This galaxy has forgotten who we are."

Suddenly, his eye glowed brightly as his body's green light intensified, then, the pain returned to Lustfury when green lightning covered him, electrocuting her.

The Cryptek had activated its Lightning Field, normally a device that would electrocute those nearby. However, he was not a normal Cryptek since he modified and integrated all his technology pieces into his body.

Something grabbed the Daemonette's head, covering her right eye and burning half of her face, an arm made of emerald lightning.

"AAAHHH!"

Haratek stood up with a new right leg similar to his new arm, melting the ground he stepped on.

"I will show you why we are god-slayers."

He threw Lustfury away with great strength, her body colliding like a stone on the surface of a lake.

"That's nothing! I am Lustfury, chosen by my goddess, and I'll show you why! So come and see the Queen of Avarice's true power!" She screamed in rage after standing up.

Haratek's arm's rays ran across the ground, each step left a molten pool in their path, and then, he disappeared.

"Well, that might be a problem because…"

She heard a voice behind her, shivering as a hand burned her shoulder.

"…I'm already behind you."

Escaping the grip, she saw the Necron staring at her and tried to pierce his chest with a hateful scream, however, he disappeared in a green flash.

"Where did you…" Lustfury didn't finish as a vicious slash hit her head, releasing a powerful shock wave.

She flew like a cannonball while a green lightning mass stopped ahead and slammed her against the ground, cracking the stone in her body's shape.

The earth shook as she left the hole, wounded, armor and clothes destroyed, and face burned and disfigured, trying to attack again with clouded judgment, but never having the chance.

Haratek disappeared, and what came next was impossible for normal eyes to capture, a barrage of attacks, each powerful enough to shatter bone and tear away flesh.

The Cryptek turned into a green storm, disappearing and reappearing, delivering deadly blows successively. Mere mortals would see lighting surrounding Lustfury and how it did not matter how hard she fought, as she would never reach her target.

The rocky ground melted and thunder echoed across the island while a blue mist formed around the Cryptek due to the electrified air. He hurled the Daemonette away with a final blow, colliding with a large rock and slamming her body against it right after, sinking it further.

He struck her head repeatedly as she could not fight, her body bruised and broken; her vision darkening, and her form falling apart into energy.

"I'm not done with you yet!" He slammed his rod into Lustfury's forehead, releasing an electricity wave and making her scream, the pain intensified by the Lightning Field.

The stone melted on her body, lightning ran across the island's surface, turning the place into a war landscape, and when it ended, she did not show signs of consciousness.

Haratek retreated exhausted, using so much energy left him in critical condition, but he still had a mission to accomplish, pointing his rod upwards and shooting a beam, seeing that the barrier disappeared; then, glancing at the Daemonette.

"Normally, I would eliminate you, but now I have the opportunity to study your species, I believe my Lord would enjoy another trophy for his collection." He teleported a Tesseract Labyrinth to his hand, touched Lustfury's forehead with it, imprisoning her, and saw her diminutive form inside.

Sending the cube away, he opened another Eternity Gate, but it still glowed pink.

"The longer path then." He took flight and dashed towards the tomb, rippling the water as the lightning from his new limbs rushed across its surface, disappearing midway.

An opening appeared in the tomb's side and he flew through its great halls, past thousands of awakened Necrons and War Engines, reaching the pylon chamber.

However, a gold-adorned Necron stood in his way, looking like an artwork displaying power and wealth, a Necron Noble.

"You, Cryptek! I demand to know what is happening right now!"

Sadly, Haratek's response was not what he expected.

"Out of my way! I don't take orders from you!" He swung his rod, throwing the Noble against the wall.

Approaching the pylon, he quickly typed with his single arm on a green holographic screen, bringing the great machine to life.

A green light glowed at its base, rising and intensified, shining brightly through its holes as a humming grew louder, similar to an Imperial Titan war horn.

Suddenly, a powerful green beam shot upwards, pushing the ocean and opening a hole in the clouds, hitting the pink sky and closing the reality tear.

"Advance!"

CLANG!

Something hitting me broke my concentration, my vision returned and I saw Warriors and Immortals torn to pieces returning to the tomb and Thaszan resting at my feet with a gash on his chest.

Rahkikh blocked the Keeper spear's slash with his shield, flying toward us due to the strength of a hole in his shoulder. On the other hand, Gauss burns and Hyperphase cuts covered the Greater Daemon, but it still stood.

"My Lord, please do not worry, we will soon eliminate this abomination." Thaszan stood up, stepping toward the Keeper.

"Give us more time; you don't have to dirty your hands with such an insignificant matter." Rahkikh walked with difficulty.

"Thaszan, Rahkikh, you fought bravely and completed my orders perfectly. I am unharmed, now allow me to help you." I readied my staff and gauntlet.

"My Lord..." They tried to protest, but I interrupted them.

"You, Daemon! Identify yourself!"

"Well, well, well, look who joined us; I thought you fell asleep. Your tin toys were annoying but I had fun breaking them, now you're next." The Keeper mocked.

"That's not what I demanded!" I sent some commands while concentrating.

Suddenly, the Eternal Protectors' stratagem acted, enveloping Rahkikh and Thaszan in green energy, repairing their Necrodermis as power emanated from their bodies and weapons to protect their endangered master.

"My Lychguards, eliminate our unwanted guest!"

Unanswered, they charged toward the Keeper, empowered to the limit by the stratagem, surprising the Demon. Meanwhile, I called a unit and joined the fight since I could not let them do it all alone.

I cast a lightning wave with my staff, but the Keeper blocked it with its shield. Simultaneously, Thaszan advanced towards its legs as it tried to trample him, but the Lychguard quickly dodged and cut its flesh deeply.

The Demon growled and tried to impale its assailant with one of its swords, but Rahkikh stepped in the way, protecting his ally.

Even with the power increase, a Greater Demon's strength should not be underestimated, Rahkikh fell to his knees with his shield fighting the blade in a spark shower.

Meanwhile, I sent several bolts towards the Demon, who protected itself again, allowing the Scythe-Wielding Necron to advance.

Thaszan jumped and swung his weapon in a green tornado, slashing the Keeper's shoulder. Unfazed, it slashed his chest with its free sword, sending him flying away.

Then, it focused on Rahkikh, trying to kick him, but I did not allow it, aiming my gauntlet at its face, sending a green flaming wave, and receiving a pained cry.

Malya screamed and charged, trying to pierce me with her spear while I retreated, still firing at her. Each blow opened a hole in the ground and each step of her gigantic body shook the tower.

She blocked my lightning and fire, but I aimed at different parts of her body as her shield could not protect everything. However, she muttered in an unknown language, making rubble float and envelop me from the waist down.

My Ankh's null field canceled the spell immediately and I broke the rubble, freeing myself, but this brief distraction gave the Demon time to lunge forward with her spear covered in Warp energy.

However, it never came as Rahkikh blocked it with his shield in a mixture of demonic energy and green lightning, slowly being pushed back.

I energized my staff and threw it like a boomerang at the Demon's head, throwing it back and hearing a loud crack followed by a pained scream, breaking its focus and allowing Rahkikh to parry the spear aside.

Thaszan returned to the fight, using his partner's shoulders as a springboard, slashing and blinding one of Malya's eyes, making her retreat with a furious face.

"My face! My beautiful face! The face my goddess gave me! How dare you?! No more playing with you!"

She raised her spear and Imaterium's energy gathered in her weapon, unnatural winds and voices spoke long-forgotten languages as she cast another spell, releasing a powerful energy wave at us.

Rahkikh put himself in the attack's path, sliding backward with his feet sinking into the ground, fighting the overwhelming power. Thaszan positioned himself behind him, holding his back to keep him in place.

I slammed my back against his own and dug my feet into the ground, even so, we were pushed back.

"My lord?!"

"Not now, Thaszan, I need to concentrate!"

Reality distorted, and green quantum shielding covered us all like transparent armor, diffusing and deflecting Malya's attack.

"Insolent beings! Die now!" She increased the attack's power.

The tower shook due to the energy clash, the air rippled and reality's fabric distorted. Suddenly, the world disappeared in a flash.

-XXXXXX-

When everything returned, I stood on the smoke-covered tower, hearing breaking metal and seeing Rahkikh raised in the air by Malya's spear. She threw him away while Thaszan tried to attack, losing his arms to a swift swipe of her swords.

I pointed my staff at her, receiving a kick to the chest before I could fire, flying and falling to the ground with the Demon approaching with heavy steps. I raised my gauntlet right after, but the Keeper stepped on my arm, crushing it and piercing it with her spear, severing the member.

"You gave me trouble, more than necessary! I wanted to play with you more, but now I will crush your skull and conquer this planet in my Goddess's name after what you did to my face!" Malya raised her spear above her head.

Suddenly, a Monolith landed on the tower, opening its Eternity Gate from where a powerful green ray left, hitting her chest and throwing her back.

Then, the Destroyer Cult left it, Skorpekh Lords, Lokhust Destroyers, Heavy Lokhust Destroyers, Skorpekh Destroyers, Hexmark Destroyers, and Ophydian Destroyers, all led by the Lokhust Lord.

The Dimensional Corridor obeyed the recovery protocols and put them in a temporary dimensional shift tunnel, bringing them from the Tomb to the Monolith's Eternity Gate.

"Is this the first enemy we will face on your behalf?" The Lokhust Lord asked.

"Yes… Feel free to end this thing!"

"Hump! With pleasure, attack!" He commanded and every Cult's member advanced while firing, bombarding the recovering Demon.

Necron Nobles see their bodies as artworks that should not be altered, however, the cultists don't think so, heavily modifying their bodies to wipe out all the galaxy's life, in other words, their weapons hurt as hell.

Meanwhile, I approached my damaged Lychguards.

"My Lord, forgive us, we failed you..." Rahkikh spoke with surprising sadness.

"We swear this will not happen again…" Thaszan said ashamed.

"Don't worry, you didn't fail me, I'm satisfied with your work, but now, you must go." I grabbed Rahkikh and Thaszan and put them in the Eternity Gate despite their protests.

Now, the Lokhust Lord exchanged blows with Malya, shouting between one of her attacks.

"FIRE!"

Every Destroyer able to fire targeted her, tearing chunks and opening holes with their modified weaponry. The Demon protects herself with her shield, leaving an opening for a War Scythe to slash her torso.

She tried to strike the Lord with one of her swords, but her arm flew away, courtesy of the Lokhust Heavy Destroyer's Emitic Exterminator obliterating her flesh.

Malya tried to dodge the shots that assaulted her body, but the Ophydian Destroyers sunk underground and came from under her, wrapping their slender bodies around her legs and ripping them apart with their claws and Hyperphasic Threshers.

She fell to her knees, low enough for the Skorpekh Destroyers to attack with their Hyperphasic Reap Blades and Hyperphasic Threshers. Then, the Skorpekh Lord joined the fray, using his Hyperphasic Reaper, Sundering Claw, and an Emitic Annihilator, shredding her flesh.

Meanwhile, I controlled a scarab swarm and circled the tower's lower area, grabbing the Psyker beside the minor portal and taking her to the Eternity Gate.

"Fool, I don't need the girl anymore! Did you look at the sky?! This planet will be ours!" Malya impaled a Skorpekh Destroyer with her spear.

Suddenly, I heard Haratek's voice in my head.

"My Lord! It's done!"

"Very well, Haratek, care for the human I sent to the tomb!"

"Yes, my Lord!"

I "smiled" at that, stopping when a siren echoed in the distance and a powerful green light illuminated the island, a gigantic green ray leaving the tomb and heading towards the sky, closing the Warp Rift.

"NO!" The Demon screamed in fear, assuming a desperate expression.

She moved slower now and the Destroyers' weapons damaged her more as the Pylon severed her Imaterium's connection.

"You will pay for this… AAHH!" She screamed as the Lokhust Lord severed her jaw from her body with a scythe swipe.

"Cease talking!" He pointed his weapon's tip at her face, firing a powerful Gauss beam and removing a piece of her head.

"AAAHHH!" Malya summoned her remaining power with a furious scream before banishment, swinging her spear and ripping the Ophydian Destroyers that enveloped her legs apart and swinging her shield, sending the Skorpekhs and Lokhust Lord away.

She raised her spear again, accumulating energy in her weapon, using one last spell for a final strike, a literal tornado of Warp energy full of screaming faces and colorful lights dancing wildly.

"Tell me you planned for this!" The Lokhust Lord said beside me.

"Yes, I just needed to get the girl from the fire line!"

"Fire line?!"

I screamed internally as the last unit I had called arrived, the Tesseract Vault came from the sky and floated beside us, opening and revealing the C'tan shard.

Malya's eyes widened while I laughed maniacally at what I would say.

"HAHAHA! C'TAN, USE ANTIMATTER METEOR!"

The Vault forced the C'tan to do my bidding and the dead god screamed in agony as a roiling antimatter orb formed and shot towards Demon while she launched her last attack.

The meteor clashed with Malya's lightning, battling for dominance as reality fell apart around us, revealing glimpses of other dimensions. However, even with all her goddess' blessings, the Demon was no match for a Star God shard.

It advanced more and more as the Demon vainly raised her shield, being obliterated with her arm and her body soon after, erased from existence by the enormous and ancient power.

"AAAHHH!" With one last despaired cry, Malya was no more.

I realized what I did when the smoke cleared and the fighting sounds ended, I permanently killed a Greater Demon, and it will never return to the Immaterium after the C'tan obliterated it.

"HAHAHA!" I laughed at the absurdity of the situation, seeing the Warp Rift closing and the Gauss fire in the city decreasing due to the vanishing daemons.

"Our goal is to eliminate all the galaxy's life, and the first enemy you make us face does not bleed. How cruel of you." The Lokhust Lord said.

"What's the problem? You had fun, didn't you?"

"Hump! I must admit, you weren't that bad either. I will watch your progress, Overlord." He returned to the Monolith with the other destroyers.

"My Lord, we have a problem!" Haratek spoke to me.

"WHAT NOW?!"

-Tomb-

In the tomb's throne room, dozens of Necron Nobles gathered and argued among themselves, the reason behind it long forgotten.

"ORDER! ORDER!" A Noble slammed his staff on the ground and sat down on the throne, silencing the nobles now waiting for his speech.

"As everyone can see, the Tomb's Overlord is missing and his location is unknown, we have to assume that he was eliminated in his sleep…"

The listening Nobles moved away upon seeing someone approach behind them, backing in fright when realizing who he was.

"…Therefore, I declare myself the tomb's new ruler…"

The figure climbed the stairs leading to the throne and stopped in front of the Noble.

"…Does anyone have any objections?" The Noble finally finished bragging and noticed the one in front of him, falling silent immediately for the Overlord stared at him with murder in his dead eyes.

"You are in my seat." He swung his staff, knocking the Noble off the throne, and from a considerable height, then, he sat down, resting his head on his remaining arm.

"Excuse me… Let me pass…" A voice said between sighs, Haratek missing an arm and a leg passed by the Nobles and climbed the stairs, using his rod as a cane.

Finally, Two Lychguards, one without arms and the other with a big hole in his chest stopped in front of the throne.

"Ladies and gentlemen… I present to you Akatosahk Ulthagakh, the Denied, Wretched Herald of the Impenetrable Eclipse, the Foreseeing Spiteful Keeper of the Cursed Distortion, the Collector of the Cryptic Labyrinth, Slayer of Orks and the Scourge of Demons!" Haratek said with difficulty.

"COULD SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING HERE?!?"
